- My watercolor workshop on Madeline Island is a wrap! In this video I'm sharing a look at the week, the themes we discussed and the places where we painted.
I created 33 Paintings, sketches and studies! My process is all about working out a painting on multiple versions and it offers a good look at the diversity of what can be developed from one reference.
If you'd like to join me for a future workshop, you can catch up with my travel schedule on my website here: Https://AngelaFehr.com...
absolutely wonderful tour and your saying that "failing your way" through a painting is how it works. THANKS!!
your paintings are absolutely wonderful. i did not think there was a single one that was awkward! they all resonate with me. you have such a tremendous connection with the landscape around you, where ever you are!
Thank you Angela, I love the overview of your paintings & the opportunity to hear more about your process. 👏
I love your husband’s pricing strategy for his favourites 😂
Thank you so much for this video Angela. It is almost like being there with you. I think you captured so many stories in your works, and I love that you are staying with a "sketch" approach for these plein air sites. Their essence is captured for sure this way in my opinion. Thanks again!
What a beautiful group of paintings.
Awesome video darling... Loved this... Thank you for sharing! I love art! 🌹🌹
Thank you Angela for the informative month loved it
Angela, you are such a source of encouragement. I would love to take a workshop but I can’t afford it. Thank you Sooooo much for all that you share from your soul.
Oh my it looks like you had such a fun time again. I soooo would love to join you for another workshop and Madeline Island would be perfect as I was born and raised in Minn. and attended Univ. of Minn., Duluth. It would be like coming home to be there. It was unfortunate that the timing of this current workshop did not fit my schedule. I've been so enjoying your daily World Watercolour Month youtube postings. Thank you! Big hugs to you and your family!
Amazing location. Beautiful paintings! 💗💗💗
Excellent video. You captured the essence of your experience. Oh, and nice paintings.
Outstanding, Angela! What an amazing grouping of paintings. So happy you were inspired to paint so much! Love how you painted around the white space on the houses and your bear painting made me smile. Such great advise about the paintings and risk-taking that comes before the "good" ones.
I would call your week a resounding success!! I've so enjoyed your daily videos this month! Thank you!! 💕
Hello from Duluth❣️
Too bad you weren’t able to spend more time here. Yesterday was a perfect Duluth day😊
All your paintings are pleasing and would grace any wall. Part of me is interested in your students. How did they do? Did they, too, create attractive pieces, to them especially? How do you assess whether you’ve succeeded in teaching them? Did they produce as much as you did? How do you handle inevitable discouragement? You must experience the “I could never paint as good as you!”. I know there are privacy issues. I’m so curious about how your students experience you and your teaching. As I think about this, it seems clear that the repetitive theme of encouragement in all your videos comes from how hard most beginners are on themselves.
What a beautiful place! Love seeing your process paintings and of course love seeing the final ones :). Thank you for sharing.
Tyfs!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm looking at the hotel/motel paintings on the wall behind you. I'm always interested in hotel/motel paintings and take a good look at them whenever I travel. Just as I always wanted to see my books on a library shelf, now that I'm painting, too, I'd also like to see my paintings on a hotel/motel wall, but I don't know how to make that happen. Thank you for the lovely tour through your class the paintings of your students.
"He says I have to sell this one for a LOT of money, because HE likes it a lot." 😂😂😂 I can relate!! My artist husband taught himself wood-turning shortly before the pandemic, and there are three of his chainmail-inlaid turned-wood pieces that cost MUCH more than his usual prices because *I* like them so much, and I enjoy looking at them every day. So *IF* they go anywhere else, he better make a PILE of money for them ... and they are NOT going to the gallery, either! 😂😂😂
Love seeing your process. Curious to see your students' work too. Are you able to share some too?
Those are beautiful paintings ❤❤❤
Wonderful to see the setting and your paintings, especially the online air value studies. What weight papers did you use, please? Happy Homecoming with your dear family. 💕🏡💕
The wash at 9:48 looks like a bear emerging… the mouth, eyes, and nose. 💖
I see a puppy dog in your coffee colors from Rockwell. I think it’s your dog missing you.
The painting at about 9:45 looks like a dog looking through a mist. I know that you don't do many animals but that one really looked like a dog not a landscape.
