セル画でここまで描いてるのもまた、狂気か芸術か最高ですわ。この後の量産機も。
廃人アスカの覚醒シーンは鳥肌レベル。
そのあと、上げて落とすかのように、ズタズタにされんのもまた、鳥肌
まごころを、君に は前半の作画も凄いけどマジで後半の鬱描写も凄いし

只でさえ巨大感、立体感、遠近感溢れまくりなのにそれがヌルヌル動く
この渾身の作画はCGでは絶対に出せない味
動き一つ一つの力場の溜めと開放、そして動き出したあとの粘り
懐古とか関係なしに、この時代の作画は心に伝わる深度が違う

The animation in this whole scene is a masterpiece. You can feel the weight of every swing and kick. You can truly feel the weight of the Eva 02 body.

Yes. The old school, hand drawn animations are way better which also evokes the creepiness and "out of this world" factor that 3D route they did for the newer movies didn't quite hit the mark.
@@Zeemas yeah and for many other reasons. I’m a traditional artist so I love traditional animation but Digital can be just as good. Unfortunately I agree I wasn’t a fan of the new movies they lacked a lot of the story narrative and the shots lacked a lot of story telling even the ones where they “replicated” almost the same where done poorly because they missed a lot of the subtle elements that made the original shots so powerful.
of course in this movie participate some of today's most important animator of this industry

Asuka's Godzilla moment is really my favorite part of End of Evangelion. You really see Nerv and Seele's fears about a rogue Evangelion Unit realized in this scene.
And then because shinji is a pussy she gets her intestines ripped out and eaten and the other girl gets shot.. all because shinji is a deplorable coward…. Completely unredeemable character… he’s disgusting

当時映画館で見たこの後の量産機登場からの魂のルフランが忘れられない
絶望感半端なかった
アスカの覚醒シーンほんと好き、もっと言うなら量産機と戦ってるシーンで地面が割れた時に地層までしっかり描いてあったの感動した
裏設定であの地下空間の地面はエヴァが戦っても踏み抜けないようにエヴァの足と反発する素材がしいてあるらしい。その上に土や草木が置かれているので、2号機や量産機が戦うと土や草木はめくれても下の地盤は踏み抜かれないため、ずるずる滑るように立ち回ってる。それが作画で表現されるのが素晴らしい

Honestly older anime movies had so much details put into them it's truly beautiful really you could just feel the passion
yeah there was a period when we had very good veteran animators working with young and up coming animators arounds a decade before japans economy collapsed. what you see here is what anime in the 00's to early 10's could have been were it not for that
This type of animation will hold the test of time, whereas what most of what we have for animation now is subpar at best. Then again, the people involved, economics, audiences, and creators have changed.

Well there are two Evangelion time lines. One of them is the original time line which consists of the original series and the movie "The End of Evangelion". The other one is the so called Rebuilt time line which consists of four movies. They are not sequels. It's the EVA story retelled with a different plot and also with some new characters.

This is probably my favorite scene of Eva, or any anime of all time. Asuka's character is really relatable and the way she was able to get up and fight even after hitting such a low point was really inspiring. And that's ignoring the tiny detail that she was brutally killed moments after this lol
pretty sure this isnt a "get up and fight" type scenario, more of a manic response to mental trauma.

@@xXxfartnado420xXx exactly. I feel like it's something only those who've been able to climb their way out of depression can truly understand. If it was supposed to be manic there wouldn't be uplifting music, and she wouldn't be talking about realizing the true meaning of the AT field.
This whole scene is about Asuka overcoming her past trauma and finding her resolve again. This and her fighting the mass produced EVAs are my favorite scenes in the entire series. Even though she loses in the end, she went all out and was still able to put up an amazing fight despite the odds.
@@Motoboo_Marine Her fight with the EVA SERIES truly hammers in the point that she’s most likely the best pilot. She did so well in that fight and she would’ve won if she knew they weren’t like normal EVA’s. All of the hits she scored were killing blows if they would’ve landed on a UNIT SERIES EVA.
@@PutitinDaramen I think it's the opposite of a trauma response. Asuka's whole character is informed by her fear of rejection (just like Shinji, but his is expressed in withdrawal). She measures herself by her competency and agency because she thinks that's what makes her of value, which is why she takes it so hard when Shinji's synch rate beats hers, when Rei succeeds despite her passivity, and even when she kisses Shinji (he pulls away from her first because he can't breathe, and she takes that as rejection, and pretends she hated it). That whole fear is based on the loss of her mother's attention and affection, and at this point in the film she realises that she's been wrong the whole time, and her mother was always there in Unit 02. I read it as uplifting - she not only is already the most capable pilot, she's suddenly been given a strength she's always thought she was lacking.
公開初日に観た当時の表現しがたい興奮は今でも肌で憶えている。
あの当時、このアニメは間違いなく圧倒的な高みにあって、全てが神懸かっていた。
本映画の予告を観た時の興奮度も今なお、ぶっちぎりの1位だ。

作画監督の本田雄さんはTV本編ではキャラシーン作画を多く担当されてましたが、本作では特にご本人の希望でエヴァ同士の格闘シーンを担当されました。他のシーンに比べると弐号機の体のフォルムが格闘家のような筋肉質で、肩のプログナイフカバーも小さめに描かれているのにお気づきでしょうが、同氏がまるでプロレスのような肉弾戦をを描き易いように設定し直したという経緯があります。
ネトフリさんが動画をそっとここで止めているのに合わせるかのように、本田氏が『あいつら』のデザインをしたことには触れないHamadaさんの良コメｗ
弍号機てあまり好きじゃなかったけど、この時動きがカッコ良すぎて好きになったなぁ
Nothing I love more than *hearing* Unit-02/Kyoko's voice as she hefts that destroyer overhead. Or when she swipes her AT-field at the VTOLs, or even just at 2:25 when she's just breathing. AWAKE.
Imagine piloting an Eva that is fully awake, conscious, and aware; essentially "berserk". And yet, you're someone she loves, and she's someone you love, making the synchronization so perfect, both of you are simultaneously, harmoniously, in control.
Beautiful. Everything I ever wanted to see in the Evangelion saga.
Then minutes later the Eva series models are sicked on you. :

特筆すべきなのは黄瀬さんの絵柄が貞本義行のキャラデザで１番ハマってる点。
ガイナックスもプロダクションIGも当時脂が乗ってるアニメーターが多数参加してるのも素晴らしい。
この面子がほぼそのまま参加したフリクリはとてつもない映像作品になる。
This truly shows why there could only be three active Eva’s at any time. They’re the ultimate weapons and this entire scene truly encapsulates how powerful an Eva is.
There was also intense requirement for an Eva to realize this potential. 02 only manages this because of the awakening of Asuka to her mothers soul.

当時中学生の時、映画館に観にいってこのシーンでアスカの復活に高揚し、

Not to ring a hollow gong but you really don't see visuals like this anymore. The art direction and cinematography are captivating and the Eva 02's movement is so organic. It's impressive no matter how many times I watch scenes like this from NGE. The chills are real!

Well deserved appreciation for the animation and story, but the music truly captures the euphoric realization that Asoka was feeling. All her problems were nothing, she could do anything (until she died ofc)
当時劇場でアスカ復活した時の高揚感がスゴかった。そして量産機との戦闘。からのあの絶望シーン…
どこを切り取っても旧劇の良いところ
最初のアーアー歌ってるコーラスの曲名は「退行への緊急避難」なんですよね。
幼児の頃まで退行した精神状態のまま復活してしまったので、この後に流れるサントラの曲名は「偽りの、再生」
劇場で見れたニキ達がうらやましい✨
やはりメタファーがエグいです。「エヴァに乗ること」を明らかに覚醒剤のように描いている。（乗れなくなってガリガリになったり、↑久々に乗ってめちゃキマる…）このBGMが「偽りの、再生」であることからも明らか。テーマ的にもエヴァによる自己実現は絶対に許されないから、このあと徹底的に破壊される。
鳥葬はおろか、蛆アスカのシーンも切られてるこの動画に感化されてAirから手を出して奴が居たな...
作画ももちろん素晴らしいけど、宮村さんがアスカとのシンクロ率120%超えの演技も素晴らしい
いつまでたってもあのシーンは忘れない

一人でも生きていけるという強さと人は絶対一人じゃ生きていけないという矛盾
ATフィールドは心の強さ。大切な人の存在で、強くなれるのかな
エヴァ的な(あくまでエヴァ的な)そこら辺のアンビバレントへの回答、ゲームのエヴァンゲリオン2が担当してるというか、作中対人コミュニケーションが円滑にできるとなんでかatフィールド(心の壁)が強化されて戦闘で強くなるんだよね。
これとナデシコ 劇場版は、今でも映画館で観て、鮮明に記憶に残ってる。
この後の事も含め弐号機に惚れた
エヴァ、映画館でもう一回上映してほしい
