I really like your green wall and grey walls! Yes, kindergarten has lots of furniture pieces (I know my classroom did!) I had one of those double sided pieces of furniture and they can be a blessing and a curse. For some of my centers, the kids could take what they were working with to their tables. Your students will do centers when you meet with small groups. My centers in kindergarten were more play based and that may be why there are blocks. I had a block center as well. By the half of the year at different times the kids did set at the tables while I taught. It was just easier for them to write. But the majority of teaching was done at the rug. I would keep all pieces of furniture until you absolutely know what you will need and not need. Just curious, why do you need a rug for the science center?
Thank you for your insight! I love hearing from other teachers! I don’t ‘need’ it, however, my district bought this furniture from Lakeshore at some point and that is the set up that they recommend and its intended use. My school is pretty flexible about how we set up our classrooms though which is so nice!
@@MissLifestyle I knew it! I got my master's in educational leadership there and the way you were talking made me think of it. I hated the stupid public school finance class! It ruined my 4.0 GPA because I got an A-! 😂
I am loving you channel! I'm also a kindergarten teacher!! Happy classroom set up!! 🎉❤
Thank you so much!!! Yay! So happy to be in Kinder again this year! 🫶🏼
Looking good! That's nice about the full size refrigerator....I always needed ice packs for the students and that would have been super helpful.
Yes! Not complaining one bit about that!! 😆
Off to a great start 👌! Love the positive attitude. Best wishes for the upcoming year.
Thank you so much!!!
The blocks could go on the shelf under the tv. Get a cover/ curtain and attach it to the shelf . Keep them covered until center time .
You read my mind. That’s exactly where I put them! You’ll see in part 2! 😊
Looks really good! Have a wonderful year!! 💖
Thank you! 🫶🏼
kindergarteners NEED blocks--they're 5! Think of it as engineering for kids! It also benefits them in mapping skills and cooperation!
They sure do!

Blocks go near the carpet. At least, that is where they were when I taught Pre-K.
A lot of teachers have them in different spots at my school! I did wind up putting them by the carpet!
It’s a shame you cannot remove furniture, but maybe move the black bookcase to your area, then move the wood one to the library
Not a bad idea! I don’t mind the black bookcase there. It adds some height which is nice! 😊😊
Name tags number for tables and chairs and cubes organized by bins
Schedule for kindergarten
I Miss your long hair 😢
I would get rid of the black shelf in the library. It looks out of place and you don't need it.
I wish I could but the furniture has to stay in the classroom!
Maybe move it to a different part of the room
Are you doing grad school at GCU?
Yes, I am 🎓

@EducationalRoots omg no!!!! I started that class today… I’m already like 😅😅
@@MissLifestyle I'm probably being dramatic lol! I got my masters like 10 years ago. 😂
No, I don’t think you are! I can see it already😂😂 Let’s hope I don’t lose my 4.0 🤞🏼
