I LOVE how they change formation while doing some crazy manoeuvres, that’s not easy man! Wow! Respect!

Nice coverage. Right about now, we are missing this Snowbird team. In a year of Covid and other problems. Seeing this made it better. Long live the Snowbirds!

Wow, first flight for the CT-114 Canadian Built jet these boys fly was in 1960! Making this 57 year old bird fly amazing! (2018 Comment) This is so satisfying to watch when compared to other flying teams with newer aircraft.
No doubt in real combat these would get blown out of the sky by a SU-37, F22 or Euro Fighter with modern missiles aimed at them 100 KM down range!!

they still have technology from the 60's too as instruments very little electronics are involved. they don't even have a GPS in the cockpit. here is a link to them giving a small walk through of the plane. ua-cam.com/video/6pXL-chA6h0/v-deo.html

Well they are not designed for combat. Never where. Their more for recreational private flying.

Ryan Hopwood there is two version of the tutor the ct114 and the cl41 one for the snowbird and the other for training

    • @falconeaterf15

The combat version of the Tutor is no joke.
Single upgraded f404 engine gives greater than 1:1 thrust ratio. Top speed is classified but believed to be just under Mach 2.
Fly by wire cockpit allows for 9g maneuvers, and up to 12 positive g loading for short durations.
Six hard points can be used for latest air to air weapons, or a 2000 pound bomb load. Most modern targeting and jamming pods are fully compatible.
Basically they will do anything an F15E Strike Eagle. (Mud Hen) will do.
      Salute the mighty Tutor!

these are training aircraft, they would never be used in war time...we would use our CF-18's or call upon our allies the USA....anyone that would ever think about attacking Canada would be their death sentence, we are the most loved and admired country in the world! think you need to educate yourself before talking bad about Canada and it's military!!

Yes I’m fully aware of the aircraft types these teams utilize. I stand corrected on the number of aircraft, but, an overwhelming majority of the Blue Angels show involve only 4 aircraft.

Whoever is laughing while the announcer says “Maple Split” , you might want to remind yourself that thousands of Canadians were killed in both the first and second world wars. The jets these guys fly now are nearly 60 years old and they still kick the asses of the likes of you. Last time I checked, Thunderbirds.. 4 aircraft.. Blue Angels..4 aircraft.. Snowbirds.. 9 aircraft...! Please send me a link where either one of those demonstration teams kicks Canadian ass and I’d be glad to submit, but, you won’t find it...

Actually have Blue Angels and Thunderbirds both have 6 sorry just had to correct you there. And these guys fly a CT114 tutor while the Blue Angels fly a F18 hornet and Thunderbirds fly F16 comparing them is like comparing a Ferrari to you grandpas little Prius sorry but also true. Am I saying the snowbirds are bad no their formation is top notch on most days. But stop comparing each team is great in their own way. Have a nice day.

Two operational CF-18 Squadrons and two training squadrons, including Phase IV of NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC), and numerous premier support units, make 4 Wing Canada's largest and busiest fighter wing. As such, 4 Wing has some of the best and most sought after amenities in the world, including an almost unrestricted 1.17 million hectare air weapons range equipped with state-of-the-art threats and targets.

@@taylorcooke3775Fair enough but its a 9 plane formation compared to a 6. Canada operates the F 18 as well but the old Tutor requires exceptional skill as it does not have the control surface technology as the newer jets have obviously with a little bit of research. All great teams though !!!

  • @curtisromanick8146

Big fast jets like the F-18/F-16 do not lend themselves to an air demonstration team. They are way too fast and aerodynamically are not stable which is a staple of an airframe for that type of flying. No aerobatics are performed at the speeds these aircraft operate at.

      @curtisromanick8146 4 роки тому

@@karlwjm You are completely uninformed. The ejection seats currently installed on the CL 114 TUTOR are a 0/60 seat. Which means they need 60 knots of forward airspeed in order to escape sucsessfully and they did not have those parameteres. Now a days, most jets including the CF-18, have a 0\0 Martin Baker Ejection seat, Can eject from 0 knots on the ground but a 0/0 8s the only seat that could have prevented the death of Captain Casey..
