Hi stoyamussen, It all depends. If I'm fighting wind or going into the current, I'll use the big motor. Luckily my Merc has the adjustable idle RPM control, where I can reduce the idle speed below the default speed. It really comes in handy when I troll upstream on the Mississippi river, I can slow that 90HP down to the point where it barely crawls upstream. (then I use the trolling motor just to steer. It works great) If I'm pulling bottom bouncers and spinners, like in South Dakota, I'll use the bow mount electric trolling motor. Thanks for the reply and questions!
Great to see you fishing and teaching us how it’s done! Love the lure hanging off the mirror too :).
Thanks Jeff!
The boys say Hi grandpa!!!!!
Hi boys!
It literally felt like I went on a fishing trip! Those smallmouth's are always hungry.. had one with a rock bass or bluegill before too.
Thanks Mike, that made my day.
I prefer Walleye but Smallmouth bass are fun to catch just not good table fair IMHO. Do you do all your trolling with the Electric trolling motor ?
