Ryan’s laser vision seems more powerful than homelander. It destroyed stormfront so badly and the fact Ryan was born naturally just seems like he’s the natural successor

I have a few takes: - kimiko is not even bulletproof, should be below new noir - cindy is way to low, she should be absolutely above annie - neuman is very powerful, she should be in the top 4, butcher catch her by surprise, its actually insane that she is this low - annie is absurdly high, she's not stronger than cindy, a-train, neuman nor sam, at least not yet

I personally think the new Black Noir should place above The Deep. Usually if you can fly in The Boys, you're pretty relevant. Homelander, Stormfront, and Bryan are the examples that come to mind. Edit: I meant Ryan.

Butcher killing Victoria Neuman felt a bit like deus ex machina for me. Neuman was in the top 3 of all supes since two seasons. She being killed so easily was somehow underwhelming for me.

i really think its just a chance occurrence cause sure she could've easily done something but she was in a stressful situation, scared, and was just overall weak in that scene so i feel like she was off-guard and basically just was prepared to die and basically accepted it cause the virus gun thing so overall it's logical that she died cause she wasn't expecting butcher to one shot her and she was very obviously ready to talk him down but was just not given the chance, couldn't detect v in butcher's blood cause why would she even do that? , so yeah just caught off-guard and in the interview scene you can see her eyes turn white when lazered her so she clearly tried to do something but homelander was way too durable, can easily make the same case for butcher so like??? it's realistic, makes sense for the plot with the tragedy and like "false" arcs to set butcher massively up since its like they're setting all these false arcs up, letting us speculate on them then cutting them off so we expect the same with butcher's but they'll actually have a satisfactory ending for butcher, so yeah it makes sense thematically (tragedy, for butcher being unreasonable, setting butcher up, killing our expectations tragically to do that, and just yeah a red herring), realistically (just got caught off-guard), and i mean yeah its just bias??? no???? tons of things to complain about the show if you really nitpick enough but this does really show how likable and pretty victoria was to trigger this much of a response in everyone looking for alternative plots in which the writers could've taken this and swearing they're better (which is arguable but they decided to go with this route) and justifying that as a reason for the show being bad, just vause their favorite character died oh + im pretty sure they're making the plot up as they go based off audience response so victoria neuman's powers are totally gonna be there for gen v season 2 and shes gonna get compared to marie maybe she sees video tapes of neuman in sage grove, whatever but it's 100% certain her powers are limited and she can control blood but she has limitations on it unlike marie and her specialty on it is overpressurizing it for explosions again, unlike marie's more general applications for it with knives and stuff and also makes sense thematically to take her out to set gen v season 2 up with marie so we can get a deeper dive into blood powers in general through her
I think Butchers powers are going to really surprise us, we haven’t seen all of it. The tentacles are clearly very smart to wrap Neumans eyes straight away, but I think there’s more to it then just tentacles

yea see that’s what i don’t like lol, victoria moving down power lists due to writing inconsistencies (her powers aren’t consistent) just for the sake of emphasizing butcher’s newfound power (disclaimer just incase: i think it was an incredibly avoidable and silly death and only happened for butcher’s character convenience. she would’ve been able to stop it in any other season, just not this one since they needed someone to die lol)
they wrote themselves into a corner with her and her powers, they made her too powerful and invulnerable so the only way to get rid of her is introduce an entirely new element into the show. it was just kind’ve lazy to me

The old starlight would have lost next season starlight currently might be up there with homelander who mimics Superman who got his power from the sun..Annie I think will be powerful with blinding light beam and destructive beams from her hands unlike before..flying at light speed..She always restrained herself in using her powers before in order to not hurt people..She knew blinding someone is permanent..All gloves are off now with the new Starlight who will need to kill all the sups against her in season five..She showed she is strong again she is now becoming stronger because she accepts her role as a true hero of humanity...cannot wait..

Starlight was confirmed by screenwriters to be able to absorb ALL light now unlike the comics... ie the Sun. Thats how she flew so fast in the final scene (screenwriters also confirmed its the fastest flying in the show).
Cindy gotta be top 5 imo because we’ve only seen a hint of her powers and they were severely OP. She has a magneto esque vibe about how she can manipulate metals and what not.

I get that Neuman had to die cause plot, but I would’ve loved to see her go out with a fight. Like at least quickly blow up one of Butcher’s arm? They showed earlier in the season how she doesnt even have to actually see you to pop your sh!t (remember the badass group nosebleeds she gave everyone before walking into the room?)

I take Neuman’s death more of an off guard/ plot convenience death. She didn’t know he had powers especially since she was are that he was sick. She was also vulnerable and scared of Homelander, another thing was that he off guarded her and covered her eyes. Sure her defense is not the best with her eyes covered but in a fair fight only Homelander, Ryan, Soldier Boy, and Maeve can defeat her. I doubt she’d lose to Butcher fairly. Come on? A cancer supe who can’t move and has brain damage. She specializes in that. No way Neuman going down that easily. Her lore made her stronger than Nearly every supe. Just her being in a room full of supes and she could make their noise bleed. I hate the whole plot of her death (scaling wise).
To be fair she was probably focusing on buffing herself. I don't know if this is how it works but when Homelander lasered her she seemed to have done something in order to make it so she didn't die from em, so she probably can't do both at once
Definitely. I think Starlight just has a lot of potential with her power. She theoretical could be like Starfire from DC comics or Ms. Marvel from Marvel comics.

Except she manipulated blood without her eyes when showing Marie. They connected her and Marie to having the same powers, showed Marie and neuman don’t need their eyes. Then in the 4th season, they make neuman need her eyes again. Butcher won, bc writers wanted him to and the plot needed her to die.

he is not stronger then Homelander. Especially in open places, flight and ranged attacks are still very powerful, even in 3 season they had to gang up 3 strong supes to hold him and he still got away.
I got the impression Shapeshifter also got the powers of the person she copied. She seemed disappointed she couldnt do the light blasts. She also displayed Starlight's strength and durability and was very evenly matched with Annie. Not more and not less one iota.
She role had served her purpose, Like Homelanderis the Main Target of the boys but they still havent found a way to kill him so there are Mini threats the boys tries to eliminate in every season i mean loook s2 was stormfornt but she dies in the finale of s2, S3 had Sb but they take him out in a sleeping Thing in the finale of s3 so it makes sense that Neuman is the mini villain of the mini target of the boys in s4 as they were talking and trying to kind ways to kill Neuman and HL the entire season,

Starlight, in theory, should be able to turn people’s brain activity off. She should also be able to draw power from any living thing. The writers dropped the ball imo

Victoria’s death was dumb. Hate it or not, she had some incredible development, literally some of the best in the entire season, and it was wasted. They should’ve just used her screen time for someone else. At least we wouldn’t have come attached to the character at that point.
shifter annie was fun but all of that content & screen time should’ve been given to victoria. she needed a mad queen spiral to finish her arc and they fumbled it bad

Taking in consideration that homelander heatvision was unable to pierce victory like in the same way as butcher's couldn't pierce homelander. Just show how much force u will actually require to harm homelander, takin in consideration that Billy and homelander rays were equal in power as we saw in herogarsm. We could asume that butcher/kesller should have enough fisical power to kill or significantly harm homelander
I think Homelander could not pierce Victoria because he was not trying to. We’ve seen him control it with with Stormfront (meanwhile Ryan could defeat Stormfront when he tried)
Killing neuman made sense. Butcher finally gave into his urges to kill every hostile supe after Ryan killed Mallory and didn’t give a damn. He knows Neuman is shady asf and had killed a ton of people including those he worked with like Mallory. Her death made sense and was a great way to showcase Butcher’s surprise power to end the season

Popping heads is harder for her if its a powerful supe, and when butcher attacked her for one she wasnt fully prepared for it and also butcher is probably alot stronger since hes accepted his dark kessler side rather then fight it. Killing neuman wasnt just to get rid of her but it was more establishing butcher as an ever bigger threat, they spent all season tryna kill her for butcher to just smoke her establishing him as an insanely powerful supe.

Yeah, I believe his whole body is most likely resistant and extremely durable. He would basically have to be because in order to be that strong, your bones and muscles must have insane durability to sustain the heavy loads and pressure

That was a long time ago. She can now fly to avoid his attacks and has shown that she can gather her energy faster she’d still lose, but it’s not as bad of a loss.

Sage is the most powerful she shapes her reality to whatever she wants including deducing limits and weaknesses of other superheroes. Every things revolves around her and is influenced by her superior intelligence. Her power is seemingly subtle but manipulates events in ways others cannot fathom until its too late.
question still remains that what would've happened if neuman was going to react to butcher and attempt to pop his head first, also what would've happened if she actually attacked homelander when he lasered her on firecracker's podcast. i'd say for now, overall in combat its soldierboy as N#1, homelander N#2, neuman N#3, butcher N#4, stormfront N#5, queen maeve N#6, and actually hugh/his dad at N#7, because they can teleport anywhere, which means they can teleport into somebody and explode them from the inside. starlight should be below all of them at N#8 because not only her super strength & light manipulation aren't that strong, they also require a whole lot of light (or electricity) available, but most terrains that they fight in do not have enough light or are inside an abandoned house or building so she may not even have access to a large portion of her powers most of the time.
I believe Cindy is stronger than Neuman as Neuman can only control blood and pop heads as Cindy can pop bodies and control literally EVERYTHING with such ease
Cate way too high, she literally passes out if she uses her powers too much and sister sage definitely way too high, turns out a bullet to the head takes her down to a 3 yr old. Feel like starlight and deep got an upgrade this year, don't remember them being so strong in previous seasons literally punching through concrete walls and steel. Newman can take a bullet to the head and it bounces off like a rubber ball or homelanders laser eyes and shrugs it off but gets torn in half like nothing? While supes like fake Annie or sister sage absorb bullets and still have a blood spot , doesn't kill them but still penetrates them while the most powerful like himelander and mave have bullets bounce off them and Newman was in that category so I feel her death was a little too easy. Even her daughter took in kimiko and Frenchie and was pretty much winning but a tentacle slap knocks her out? Personally I liked butchers first powers set better something about being able to combat homelanders powers with the same abilities.
most of powers weve seen from cate has been affected cause of the pills endira gave her though. and she’s only been increasing her abilities. she was only able to get to peoples minds and read thoughts in the end of gen v. the boys she had like 20 seconds of screen time so understandable that we didnt see have any improvements from her but gen v season 2? i wouldnt be surprised if she got to charles xavier// emma frost’s level.
Something I do hope to see in season 5 when it comes to A-Train, since we know: He isn’t dead and got away with his family BUT he and his brother Nate’s relationship is strained .. SO, in season 5 I hope to see A-Train’s return to the fight trained and ready BECAUSE in the time we as the audience hasn’t seen him, he made up with his brother convincing him he wants to be a real hero, and Nate once again trains him for a real fight that will ultimately make a difference/save the world, and THAT will be A-Trains arc !
Kimiko’s abilities are closer to Wolverine, while Sam’s abilities are closer to Luke Cage. She is a lot stronger than regular people but she does not rely on “super strength.” That's why she looses to Black Noir, Storm front, and Sam in strength based fights.
I personally think Victoria Neuman could come back in Season Finale since she have the ability to control blood, all supes have healing factor, from the moment she get teared into half, i believe she still have consciousness so she might be somehow absorb all her blood and regeneration back, might be many plot twist in finale
A train gaining a brand new heart from last season most definitely put a train above top 9 for sure, dude was pulling trains before he even got a transplanted heart , besides homelander, nobody can even catch him
1. Ryan/Soldier Boy/Homelander in some order. Hard to call based on Ryan’s lack of training, SB’s unique ability to disable others’ powers, and Homelander’s raw strength + familiarity with his power. I think the order I wrote it in is based on endgame potential but right now it’s probably HL > SB > Ryan 4. Butcher 5. Sam 6. Cindy 7. Neuman 8. A-Train 9. Kimiko 10. Black Noir 11. Hugh Sr. 12. I think Cindy can kill Homelander. Even though she has a very small role in the series, she has a very powerful power. Her telekinesis power can easily stop most of Homelander's powers.

Neuman belongs higher on this list. Homelander couldn't even hurt her. Her death to Butcher is meant to show that Butcher may actually be strong enough to kill Homelander now, but shouldn't diminish her ranking because she still beats everybody who isn't in the top 5

Yup. I think you're definitely sleeping (pun intended), on the new Black Noir. I have a feeling that they are going to set him up to be as strong as Homelander, but we'll see. I think that at a minimum, he'd be Top 5 on this list.

05:30 keep in mind, Sam is the brother of Golden Boy. I think its still fair to say that kimiko is one of the more powerful supes. It's just that she couldn't use her powers in the moment to get out of that situation. (Also Kate was there as Backup. One Supe and one human against two supes, so not only is she up against Sam, but the numbers weren't on her side either. So I don't really get the disappointment there, but if I missed something and someone is willing to explain it to me, I'm listening lol
I also don't think “super strength”is Kimiko’s power. If you compare The boys characters to Marvel, Kimiko is like Wolverine. She is stronger than normal people, proficient in battle, and has the best healing factor of the show. However Sam is more like Luke Cage, he “actually,” has super strength. What? No way is Annie that high. And it's not at all a surprise how easily Sam was able to restrain Kimiko. Kimiko is stronger than baseline, but weak among supes. Her regeneration is more amazing than her strength. Sam, meanwhile, EASILY tore people apart in Gen V. He's probably even stronger than Temp V Hughie. I'd guess he's at or near Maeve's level, meaning he could contend with Homelander.
With butcher taking another dose of V, i think he might equal or even stronger than HL. The boys have nothing in their favour, they need to make butcher atleast as strong as HL or season 5 would be full of potholes and inconsistencies.
We know that Neuman no longer needed to make eye contact to use her abilities, but did she still need to see her targets? When she walked into the basement where all the Boys were, she made their noses bleed like she could pop their heads before she even entered the room. Are her powers really limited when her vision is blocked? Seems like a minor plot hole but I'll let ya'll fill me in cuz I never read the comics lol

Honestly I think Neuman is lower, her power is only really useful if her opponent doesnt know about it (assuming the opponent is a supe as well), especially bc the supe lower then her can easily beat her by running behind her.
Technically, I would say Sage should be the most powerful supe. Nothing beats a +300 IQ. She is ALWAYS a step ahead. It is almost like being clearvoyant. She doesn't need to be strong or fast. Her intelligence protects her from every possible outcome. While awake, she can plan thousands of ways to succeed in whatever plan she makes for herself. Homelander is just a pawn for her. She manipulated him so far. I think she will be one of the main villain. As long as her ego doesn't come in her way, she is basically invincible. Maybe if all the smartest persons in the world combined working all the time, they could form a plan to beat her without knowing her. Maybe if she pisses of Homelander's fragile ego by showing off, he could laser in a weak moment, but else... But it is difficult to write such a over the top smart person. I am curious how they evolve her.
victoria should of been in the top5, i think the evil butcher is just an upgraded version of his usual v state, his powers probly rivals homelander at the least or exceeds him, as the previous fight between the two was about even, though homelander showed slight superiority ~ I feel evil butcher might be potentially stronger. victoria neuman was a terrifying villain but comparing her to homelander or butcher with similar powers, like no hero comes close,

Ryan’s laser vision seems more powerful than homelander. It destroyed stormfront so badly and the fact Ryan was born naturally just seems like he’s the natural successor

Butcher killing Victoria Neuman felt a bit like deus ex machina for me. Neuman was in the top 3 of all supes since two seasons. She being killed so easily was somehow underwhelming for me.

Only reason shes top 3 sups was because of her powers you take her eyes away she a regular sup wit no head popping, that what butcher did

i really think its just a chance occurrence cause sure she could've easily done something but she was in a stressful situation, scared, and was just overall weak in that scene so i feel like she was off-guard and basically just was prepared to die and basically accepted it cause the virus gun thing so overall it's logical that she died cause she wasn't expecting butcher to one shot her and she was very obviously ready to talk him down but was just not given the chance, couldn't detect v in butcher's blood cause why would she even do that? , so yeah just caught off-guard and in the interview scene you can see her eyes turn white when lazered her so she clearly tried to do something but homelander was way too durable, can easily make the same case for butcher so like??? it's realistic, makes sense for the plot with the tragedy and like "false" arcs to set butcher massively up since its like they're setting all these false arcs up, letting us speculate on them then cutting them off so we expect the same with butcher's but they'll actually have a satisfactory ending for butcher, so yeah it makes sense thematically (tragedy, for butcher being unreasonable, setting butcher up, killing our expectations tragically to do that, and just yeah a red herring), realistically (just got caught off-guard), and i mean yeah its just bias??? no???? tons of things to complain about the show if you really nitpick enough but this does really show how likable and pretty victoria was to trigger this much of a response in everyone looking for alternative plots in which the writers could've taken this and swearing they're better (which is arguable but they decided to go with this route) and justifying that as a reason for the show being bad, just vause their favorite character died
oh + im pretty sure they're making the plot up as they go based off audience response so victoria neuman's powers are totally gonna be there for gen v season 2 and shes gonna get compared to marie maybe she sees video tapes of neuman in sage grove, whatever but it's 100% certain her powers are limited and she can control blood but she has limitations on it unlike marie and her specialty on it is overpressurizing it for explosions again, unlike marie's more general applications for it with knives and stuff and also makes sense thematically to take her out to set gen v season 2 up with marie so we can get a deeper dive into blood powers in general through her

I take Neuman’s death more of an off guard/ plot convenience death. She didn’t know he had powers especially since she was are that he was sick. She was also vulnerable and scared of Homelander, another thing was that he off guarded her and covered her eyes. Sure her defense is not the best with her eyes covered but in a fair fight only Homelander, Ryan, Soldier Boy, and Maeve can defeat her. I doubt she’d lose to Butcher fairly. Come on? A cancer supe who can’t move and has brain damage. She specializes in that. No way Neuman going down that easily. Her lore made her stronger than Nearly every supe. Just her being in a room full of supes and she could make their noise bleed. I hate the whole plot of her death (scaling wise).

Victoria’s death was dumb. Hate it or not, she had some incredible development, literally some of the best in the entire season, and it was wasted.
They should’ve just used her screen time for someone else. At least we wouldn’t have come attached to the character at that point.
shifter annie was fun but all of that content & screen time should’ve been given to victoria. she needed a mad queen spiral to finish her arc and they fumbled it bad

Killing neuman made sense. Butcher finally gave into his urges to kill every hostile supe after Ryan killed Mallory and didn’t give a damn. He knows Neuman is shady asf and had killed a ton of people including those he worked with like Mallory. Her death made sense and was a great way to showcase Butcher’s surprise power to end the season
The biggest weakness of all those supes is that they have all have aholes, which makes them vulnerable to Termite.
Sam is close to Queen Maeve when she has her powers that’s why Kimiko fumbled like that to him

Killing neuman wasnt just to get rid of her but it was more establishing butcher as an ever bigger threat, they spent all season tryna kill her for butcher to just smoke her establishing him as an insanely powerful supe.

Sage is the most powerful she shapes her reality to whatever she wants including deducing limits and weaknesses of other superheroes. Every things revolves around her and is influenced by her superior intelligence. Her power is seemingly subtle but manipulates events in ways others cannot fathom until its too late.

i'd say for now, overall in combat its soldierboy as N#1, homelander N#2, neuman N#3, butcher N#4, stormfront N#5, queen maeve N#6, and actually hugh/his dad at N#7, because they can teleport anywhere, which means they can teleport into somebody and explode them from the inside. starlight should be below all of them at N#8 because not only her super strength & light manipulation aren't that strong, they also require a whole lot of light (or electricity) available, but most terrains that they fight in do not have enough light or are inside an abandoned house or building so she may not even have access to a large portion of her powers most of the time.

Cate way too high, she literally passes out if she uses her powers too much and sister sage definitely way too high, turns out a bullet to the head takes her down to a 3 yr old. Feel like starlight and deep got an upgrade this year, don't remember them being so strong in previous seasons literally punching through concrete walls and steel. Newman can take a bullet to the head and it bounces off like a rubber ball or homelanders laser eyes and shrugs it off but gets torn in half like nothing? While supes like fake Annie or sister sage absorb bullets and still have a blood spot , doesn't kill them but still penetrates them while the most powerful like himelander and mave have bullets bounce off them and Newman was in that category so I feel her death was a little too easy. Even her daughter took in kimiko and Frenchie and was pretty much winning but a tentacle slap knocks her out? Personally I liked butchers first powers set better something about being able to combat homelanders powers with the same abilities.
most of powers weve seen from cate has been affected cause of the pills endira gave her though. and she’s only been increasing her abilities. she was only able to get to peoples minds and read thoughts in the end of gen v. the boys she had like 20 seconds of screen time so understandable that we didnt see have any improvements from her but gen v season 2? i wouldnt be surprised if she got to charles xavier// emma frost’s level.

He isn’t dead and got away with his family BUT he and his brother Nate’s relationship is strained ..
SO, in season 5 I hope to see A-Train’s return to the fight trained and ready BECAUSE in the time we as the audience hasn’t seen him, he made up with his brother convincing him he wants to be a real hero, and Nate once again trains him for a real fight that will ultimately make a difference/save the world, and THAT will be A-Trains arc !
Kimiko’s abilities are closer to Wolverine, while Sam’s abilities are closer to Luke Cage. She is a lot stronger than regular people but she does not rely on “super strength.” That's why she looses to Black Noir, Storm front, and Sam in strength based fights.
Let's also not forget that Sam is insanely strong. He tore guards apart like paper in Gen V without breaking a sweat
I personally think Victoria Neuman could come back in Season Finale since she have the ability to control blood, all supes have healing factor, from the moment she get teared into half, i believe she still have consciousness so she might be somehow absorb all her blood and regeneration back, might be many plot twist in finale

I think Cindy can kill Homelander. Even though she has a very small role in the series, she has a very powerful power. Her telekinesis power can easily stop most of Homelander's powers.

Yup. I think you're definitely sleeping (pun intended), on the new Black Noir. I have a feeling that they are going to set him up to be as strong as Homelander, but we'll see. I think that at a minimum, he'd be Top 5 on this list.

05:30 keep in mind, Sam is the brother of Golden Boy. I think its still fair to say that kimiko is one of the more powerful supes. It's just that she couldn't use her powers in the moment to get out of that situation. (Also Kate was there as Backup. One Supe and one human against two supes, so not only is she up against Sam, but the numbers weren't on her side either. So I don't really get the disappointment there, but if I missed something and someone is willing to explain it to me, I'm listening lol
I also don't think “super strength”is Kimiko’s power. If you compare The boys characters to Marvel, Kimiko is like Wolverine. She is stronger than normal people, proficient in battle, and has the best healing factor of the show. However Sam is more like Luke Cage, he “actually,” has super strength. I think there are levels to it.

What? No way is Annie that high. And it's not at all a surprise how easily Sam was able to restrain Kimiko. Kimiko is stronger than baseline, but weak among supes. Her regeneration is more amazing than her strength. Sam, meanwhile, EASILY tore people apart in Gen V. He's probably even stronger than Temp V Hughie. I'd guess he's at or near Maeve's level, meaning he could contend with Homelander.

With butcher taking another dose of V, i think he might equal or even stronger than HL. The boys have nothing in their favour, they need to make butcher atleast as strong as HL or season 5 would be full of potholes and inconsistencies.
We know that Neuman no longer needed to make eye contact to use her abilities, but did she still need to see her targets? When she walked into the basement where all the Boys were, she made their noses bleed like she could pop their heads before she even entered the room. Are her powers really limited when her vision is blocked? Seems like a minor plot hole but I'll let ya'll fill me in cuz I never read the comics lol

Technically, I would say Sage should be the most powerful supe. Nothing beats a +300 IQ. She is ALWAYS a step ahead. It is almost like being clearvoyant. She doesn't need to be strong or fast. Her intelligence protects her from every possible outcome. While awake, she can plan thousands of ways to succeed in whatever plan she makes for herself. Homelander is just a pawn for her. She manipulated him so far. I think she will be one of the main villain.
As long as her ego doesn't come in her way, she is basically invincible. Maybe if all the smartest persons in the world combined working all the time, they could form a plan to beat her without knowing her. Maybe if she pisses of Homelander's fragile ego by showing off, he could laser in a weak moment, but else...
But it is difficult to write such a over the top smart person. I am curious how they evolve her.
