Rosario was MVP of the Series. Matzek was the MVP of game 6
That decision to pull Anderson to PH Adrianza was a ballsy move. Boy did that pay off, what a call by Snit. Also so happy for Luke that Matzek covered for him and saved his runs. Luke has been spectacular all year and it would have been a shame to lose another game under him. Matzek is absolutely electric. What a series, let’s bring it home boys. Chop on

find a clip of matzeks post game interview where they ask him about his appearance. he talks about how luke has saved his runs all season and he was glad he got a chance to do the same for him. the guy is awesome

Matzek coming on with zero outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd...and then striking out 3 in a row was one of the most clutch pitching performances I've seen. Well done.
Alex Anthopoulos needs to win GM of the year. The Braves lost 2/3 of their outfield(Acuna and Ozuna)so he goes out and brings in Joc,Soler,Duvall and of course Rosario who all contributed in helping the Braves get to the World Series
Not to mention he traded a bag of chips and a half full container of onion dip to get them. This run doesn’t happen without his moves.
if we go all the way and win it all, they should write a book about this unbelievable year. Totally unexpected! I remember at one point in this year, we were complaining about we could never get over .500 .

Our starting outfield game 1 was ozuna pache acuna so we actaully rebuilt our entire outfield

The fact that the Braves made all the way through WS despite Acuna's injury makes it really hard not to be romantic about baseball
They got a lot of good players in the trade that help them clinch and reach where they are now( Pederson, Rosario, soler, duvall)

Matzek had one of the most clutch pitching performances in recent memory. Most people, including myself, had written these guys off after losing Acuna. Oh well, serves me wrong. Go win it all, boys.

Matzek’s striking out the side in the 7th will go down as one of the most clutch pitching innings in Braves postseason history 👊
that 7th inning was the most crucial moment for the braves this whole postseason. That determined the outcome. The dodgers coulda easily taken the lead right there. if this thing wouldve got pushed to a game 7, it would've been all over for the braves and a historical back to back choke job.
That was some magic right there.
After the third out in that inning, dodgers lost all the momentum they had and couldn’t recover. Same thing happened with Boston in game six in the exact same inning I believe. The strike him out, throw him out was the nail in the coffin for the Red Sox.

I remember telling a friend in 99, "this might be the last time the Braves make it to the World Series." It's really special to see them make it back. Now it's time to party like it's 1995.
I was 9 1991 and lived in Atlanta from 1990-1993. I can remember we had Braves day at school and Supercuts would cut a tomahawk into your hair. I was so mad my mom wouldn't let me do it😂 it was a big thing, I remember commercials for it on TV even😂

The ump was giving calls to the Dodgers all night and the announcers couldn’t shake their Dodger bias from their commentary but the Braves pulled off what nobody thought they would. The Braves got redemption for last years NLCS.
I did feel that in certain times like they wanted a game 7 smh.

Albies is WAY underrated, Rosario obviously playing out of his mind…dodgers only go after big names like sherzer/pujols/trea turner….. but right now it’s the Rosario/Duval/pederson going to the world series
To be honest it seems like they were barely making it in a mediocre division, with even the PHILLIES threatening until the last 3ish games.
They had us in 4th place of our division before the season even started
@@fryncyaryorvjink2140 I think both the Phillies and the Braves tore it up in the last 3rd of the season or so. Final records were mediocre, but the records during the stretch run were among the best in baseball. I guess you could say it was a different team that was playing after the Allstar break. But you're right...looking at the final records would make you scratch your head when seeing how they performed so far during the playoffs.

5:04 Riley's snag of a bad hop liner and losing the handle caused a bad throw that Freeman dug up and stayed on the bag was huge. Riley and his hitting is a big reason for the Braves success all year. Go get um Braves.
I can't stop watching these highlights!!! what an amazing series! I am a Yankee fan at heart because I lived across the street from Yankee Stadium for 36 years then I moved to Atlanta, so my number 2 team has made it to the world series now. very impressive pitching by Matzek and phenomenal hitting by Rosario! What a great world series this will be!!!! Can't wait!

@@joseosornia9164 We are embarrassed... we were a World Series contender ourselves not too long ago. Worst owner in sports; was willing to let the team fall apart while other small market teams like Oakland remain competitive.
Fortunately I grew up in Houston and am also an Astros fan. The Astros stunk when the Pirates were good. They used to be in the same division, and I was so happy when they moved to the AL so I could cheer for both teams.

Honestly after we finally beat the dodgers in the NLCS I was completely satisfied with whatever happened in the world series given my expectations after losing Acuna. Still, with this the Braves as world champs and my uga dawgs undefeated going into the SEC championship this has been a sports year beyond my wildest dreams. Hope it stays that way 🙏 🤞

Pretty much yeah. Dodgers didn't had it coming to this series. But I ain't mad at all. It's a sport, and there will be a winner and a loser at the end of the day, whether we like it or not.
For broken Dodger fans: what do champs do? We move on. Let's re-evaluate everything. Dodgers can use this series as material to construct the 2022 roster.
We have to accept failure to get better. It's alright.
That or it was just good baseball all around. Sometimes the better team just finds a way to win.
The strikeouts by Matzek were a thing of beauty! I was on the edge of my seat and I was not even a fan of either team. Magic Matzek!
It must be really embarrassing to spend all that money and not make the world series.

This is just another story of how over paid teams fail. When will ALL team sports learn to pay players based on performance POST season. It would be a simple formula. Pay a simple minimum team salary then with all their great analytics pay individuals based on their positions performance with super bonuses ..say x millions for home runs above 20 or touchdowns above a certain number. So this narrative of over paid teams losing because human things happen like injuries and sickness....oh my they aren't God's after all...😏.....for that reason I always root for the lowest payroll. So glad to see Red Sox, Dodgers, Yankees etc. Lose. Foolish owners will never learn.

LETTTSSS GOOOO! 🍾 Everyone counted the Braves out after Acuña went down. AA went and made moves which took the Braves from fighting to go above .500 to now making the World Series. Shoutout to Matzek for that insane 7th inning stand. Braves are still the underdogs against the Astros but they’re scary right now.
