Why are you all recognizing this now , Sinead has always stood for her principles throughout her life . I am so sad that one has to die to recognize who they really were and what or whom they stood for , so hypocritical in my opinion perhaps ignorance but just know this Sinead O’Connor was much more than most bothered to check , inquire or validate what was public opinion . She was a force to be reckoned with , an educated well rounded person who saw injustice and used her platform to speak the truth of injustices many of which she personally endured and then later in life socially she witnessed. The first time I heard Sinéad’s voice I was enthralled. Even when I was discouraged from listening to her after a sad incident on SNL (as she was a Protestant and my family, Irish-American Catholic) she still captured a part of my soul where music is sung for the love of our Holy Trinity. I found it confusing, frustrating, and sad that even after leaving for a new country… families still carried such hard pains. It was a confusing time. But I know, it’s undeniable, she had to have an immense faith and a most beautiful love for God. The proof of this is what makes our insides like jelly and our hair stand on end when she opens her mouth and sings for Our Lord, Our God. Sinéad was a huge influence on me and how I now sing for the love of my Lord, my God. It’s also proof that we can find common ground with our other Christian brothers and sisters. ❤️🙏🏼🕊️🎶

I was not a big fan of Sinead until I heard her sing a rebel song. I fell in love. Now I love everything she did. I hope she has found peace and joy and is reunited with her son.

I think troubled because of how her mother treated her when she was young and also what happened with her son. God bless her and forgive her mother and God grant her and us all peace, aameen (Muslim way of saying amen)
