      The beauty of the subway in China is that it does not make a profit, and yet the Chinese government continues to build more subway and HSR for locals and overseas visitors to travel around the country.

    Visiting China's subway stations really is quite an adventure. They're cool and beautiful.

      Using the subway in NYC is an even bigger adventure. I kid you not.
      For a start, when you enter the NYC subway, you'd be confused as you couldn't tell if you have just entered into a toilet or a subway, because the stench of urine is all over the place.
      Secondly, you never know if you'd be shot or stab or pushed onto subway tracks, as these are very common occurence, it adds to the adventure, for you never know if you'd come out alive or not. THAT is such a real life adventure.
      Also, if you're travelling to NYC or any cities in U$A, you better get insurance cover you'd be glad you did.

    Just watched Jason's video of his recent adventures in Chengdu (YT channel is Living in China). The subway stations there looks more like a space station. It's wonderful that each city's subways has unique design that reflects local colour, industry and history.

      It's convenient of course. It does present nefarious opportunities but I don't think China's government has any sinister plans. Here in The UK I think we need to wary of such things. Britain seems to be leading the way into an authoritarian controlling world.

      @@91djdj You are funny. Look at the chinese metro systems in 25 years again. What a nonsense conparing. 🤣 And what means trams? The cities with real metro systems in China are all damn huge with millions of habitants. Do you want to compare Stuttgart (with the underground tram) with million cities? 🙄 Public transport is still far better in Germany 🙋🏻‍♂️

    • @91djdj
      @91djdj 11 місяців тому

      @@strasbourgerelsass1467 Depends on which public transport you're looking at. Ling distance travel is just horror. Due to construction and other issues. Local transit is good indeed. But yeah, it's old and many cities haven't really done any major renovation in the last 30-40 years. And since when does a city have to have 10 million inhabitants to go for a metro? No need for patriotism here.

    • @strasbourgerelsass1467
      @strasbourgerelsass1467 11 місяців тому

      @@91djdj Of course there is trouble in long distance transportation. But just this summer, when I went from Leipzig to Paris, it was a high speed pleasure. And there is no patriotism in my post. I m just tired of the internet China glorification. The reality is looking way darker behind the facade (check channels like The China show). And one more thing (also for your last question). The smallest Chinese city with a metro system has still more people than Berlin! Have a look into a 200k town in China. Maybe 10 bus lines... 😉 So yes, why millions of people are needed for a Metro? Ask in China. 🙋🏻‍♂️

    Subway is the first line of impression or experience if you're a visitor to know whether the city's conditions of quality of life as a whole and its public safety. Most often, the system is reflecting a manufacturing hood urban slum from its corrupted governing culture and Black political ideology like the city of Philadelphia and Detroit in the US, to name a few. In the most large cities, the mass transit subway system is an arteries of blood lines of everything in the town like New York here.

      Start as a township manager. When you stand out among a group of township managers, you can be promoted to a county manager, and you must be the best before you can enter the city-level manager, provincial-level manager, and so on. To enter China's central management, you must have served as a key manager in two provinces and achieved outstanding results, otherwise you will have no chance of promotion. Chinese government officials rely on their past performance in urban management rather than seeking votes and bragging. Chinese people care more about what you do than what you say.
