I was hesitant to watch this video since I recently decided against getting a guinea pig and it was a hard decision! I have 4 birds and 3 chinchillas (in separate areas) already. I decided I need to wait on getting more animals even if it's hard. I am just focusing my energy on being the best pet mom
Plus when getting guinea pigs, it's always best to get them in pairs because they are herd animals. They can get depressed if kept by themselves.
This channel made me realize that I cannot own a Guinea pig right now, because of space and the time to clean that goes into it. Mainly the space, but the depression episodes I go through sometimes I definitely don’t want to neglect cleaning because any pig deserves the best environment. But watching these videos and how much love and care you give all the pigs is so nice! Some of my friends have said to just get what they got which was the pet store cages 🤮 and when I went to pet smart to restock my fish tank with some new friends, a worker and I talked about how I was thinking about it but the space they need is quite a bit (it’s not a lot but I live in a small apartment) so I’m happy that some employees in these chain brand pet stores have the respect to their animals like they lady did.
I feel exactly the same! Can't do it myself atm but love watching Alyssa doing such a great job with all of her animals!

I get in depressive episodes too but I still manage to care for my guinea pigs. It is possible but definitely not easy!

I was gifted 2 guinea pig male’s yesterday 1 year and 2 years. One has longer fur and the other shorter. I was your care guide and have learned a ton so I’m planning on building them a cage and everything and I got them some hay and more veggies today as they only came with the pellets. Thank you for the tips! Slowly learning but want the best for them.

i lost one of my rats to cancer so i know how it is😔 im so sorry.. sadly rats are pretty much prone to cancer and its really common in them... all you can really do is help keep her comfortable and do everything you can, by giving her the pain meds and putting her favorite fleece in there that's exactly what you're doing♥️

I should do this!!my room is mostly and pet room I have an Guinea pig that takes up half of my room ,3 fish tanks,a pest snail breeding container ,a bin of fry fish I rescue at pet stores with 3 snails in there, and finally a turtle I am currently trying to rehome!

Sorry to hear about Sage it's always tough when they get older. I had a lone male and had him neutered and added him to my girlie herd. They are all happy. Maybe neutered your two lone piggies and add them to your girl herds. Might work out for your herds.
I’m so sorry about Ricky!!! RIP!!! The fact that certain people are saying you didn’t seem to care when he died and that you weren’t surprised that is NOT TRUE. We all know he was sick I had a pig who had a chronic respiratory illness and sometimes no matter how many times they go to the vet they don’t make it!!! Alyssa is a loving caring pet person she is blunt but she’s told everyone that like a million times already!!! I’m so disappointed how these People are behaving. Alyssa doesn’t deserve it!!!💜💜❤️❤️
Amazon has this gnat catcher called "Katchy" for $40 and an off brand for $27. Alot of us bug and reptile people swear by them! I have mine set up on a smart timer to go on with the reptile lights. Really makes a big difference!
Also if they are in the rest of your house they tend to hang out in sink drains 😝

Hi Alyssa my family and I have been in the process of moving and we have Guinea pigs which is not good because where we’re moving to don’t allow Pets so my Guinea pig is in a tote because we’re trying to hide them and we barely can feed it and on top of that it is a female by itself please tell me if you would be interested in buying a female girl Guinea pig
