Tower Unite deserves all the eyes it can get. Devs sticking with a game and community for so long and keeping it updated for nearly a decade with Zero microtransactions is quite the feat especially in the current games industry. It's a total blast.
Absolutely, great game, good fun with friends. Most of the community is super nice as well, its even got a speedrunning community with Ball Race, which I wish got more attention.
If they ever get the workshop / player creation tools off the ground I think it will really take off. You can only play the same mini-game maps for so long before it gets old. Still love TU

Honestly saddens me that it's seen as a dead game. Last I played was back when the arcade was added. Wasn't too keen on all the ball games. Maybe I boot it up this weekend and see what I've missed.
The last time I watched Mark, Bob and Wade play together was some kinda prop hunt game. Wasn't even that invested in the group but it still makes me a little happy to see they still play games together to this day. Kinda a reality shock seeing how they aged though.

Dude I play Tower Unite so much. It is such a fun game to play with friends with fantastic workshops support, 0 micro transactions (and they promise it never will have them), incredibly fun games inside of it and just a great community. If you have a large group of friends, please, convince them all to buy it, you won't regret it
@@lucasworkman7330 4 is big enough to play most of the games, however there are still plenty of arcade games you can play, an entire casino, mini golf, kart racing and a lot of other stuff if you only have 3. It's also just fun to see friends in goofy workshop outfits as well
Tower Unite doesn't have a large playerbase but it does get a very high amount of "foot traffic" so to speak. Like a well known restaurant that tons of people visit frequently but only has a small base of regulars. I wouldn't say it's dead, and it does get updates every now and then with new content. It also is 100% a great time when you just wanna hang out with friends and shoot the shit.
Yea as a someone who plays a bunch of tower unite I was surprised to see it in this, but I think that's just because I forget how small it is sometimes. The ability to interact with literally any player on the game at any given moment (aside from people in private condos) makes it feel much busier than it actually is. Not to mention that people tend to flock to each other, a couple plazas tend to fill with all the players and the same is often true for condos and some mini-games.
If you ever do this again you’ve gotta try hide and shriek. It’s a 1v1 game where you’re both invisible and set up traps to try and catch and jump scare each other
Tower Unite is actually a goated game I’m hoping this helps revive it some since the devs are still constantly hot fixing and adding new content. Slaughter day night live is actually an addition from this fall!

I think as far as communities go for games, it has survived for more than a decade and even stemmed from gmod back in the day. I would argue Lud is just using a more content oriented definition.

Recently found a channel on my algorithm called Rye Games, some British guy that seems to play a lot of dead/free shooters on Steam. I like it when he runs into regulars that have been playing the game for years and has wholesome conversations with them. I think it'd make for good content, especially if you filled up a lobby in some dead af big-team war game.
I would like to throw a contender for games for you to try. When my company had an office, we met a small team for a game called “Squids from Space” while it took a second to get a handle on it, it is fast paced, fun, and made for 8v8 player games. It would be really cool to see that community get some love.

Snakeybus is geniunely awesome. It's one of those games that commentary youtubers would play in the background and that's how I found it. I can't believe its peak was 500 players, I thought it was way more popular.
Gang Beasts is one of the most underrated games imo. Some of the best memories I have made on sleepovers were by playing this game on the Xbox with my friends. 4 controllers, snacks, lights off, and a bunch of beasts laughing their asses off.
The funny thing about Murder Miners is that outside of Homer Gamenight and official gamenights hosted by the devs, it doesn't get that much attention but the game is great.
Tower Unite needs a little steeping until you get peak enjoyment. Devs are very active and passionate. I have literally convinced 30+ people to buy this game.
Tower Unite is unironically one of my top 3 favorite games ever, I still very much actively play it and have convinced far too many people to also support it. What an absolute dub seeing you guys enjoy it (and hopefully the player base does grow because of it)

try Space Beast Terror Fright, pretty in depth and nobody really plays it, scary too, u can see everyones point of view like split screen and when they die it goes black until its just you, or u can change the viewing w f1-f4 and i think f5 turns it off, fun in a group, has roguelite mechanics too, its kinda like Aliens, the graphics are not great but hey neither is lethal company
