Stranded: Alien Dawn is a survival simulation game where you lead a group of highly varied survivors to settle a brave new (alien!) world. A first person view just to walk around base and little interact with stuff would be very cool
Feels almost exactly like Rimworld running on The Sims engine.
It looks like re-skinned Rimworld. The menus and names are uncannily similar.
Looks good. I'll keep an eye on it for when they remove Denuvo.
This is a great game, I picked it up in early access and was impressed on how polished it was. Looking forward to see how they might expand things, quite an enjoyable game.
This kind of feels like a coat of alien paint on Surviving Mars. Even the UI is exactly the same.
I'm playing it on PS5, and, so far, the game is awesome.

Ultimately, it's pretty shallow and more like a tower defense game with survival elements. The colonist A.I. is terrible. I have about 47 hours in-game, and while I greatly enjoyed the first 8-10 hours of game play, ultimately this game just made me want to start a new RimWorld playthrough. This title had so much potential to be one of the great survival games, but they rushed out a 1.0 release before this game was near reaching its potential. Add the Denuvo b.s., and the developer's penchant for releasing a ton of overpriced DLC after a 1.0 release, I'd recommend overlooking this one. It just doesn't have a lot of content.

Plagued with Denuvo: Malware to keep you from cheating in your single player game ... hard pass .
This game is so ulgy, and yet they decided to add denuvo to it? Big shaft for paying customer's. Remember guys, they paid 100 of thousands of dollars to DRM protect the game instead of putting the money where it needs, as fro my first impression, it's the graphics that has taken this hit.
I would be very surprised if the DRM cost them multiple 100k Dollars
@@moritzm.3671 its a rather small game which will probably sell decently but cant justify 100-300k in protection so there is no way.. im sure denovo has prices for indie developers.
but i do agree that the game looks bad visually.. its not easy for a small developer team to make beautiful games and its not like other games of this genre focus on graphics..
I think the graphics looks great, especially for this genre. UI is also clean and clear. Denuvo is still trash and sadly only being used more and more, but we've no idea how much Denuvo did cost them, or what kind of deal the publisher has with them.
@@moritzm.3671 depends on how long they have signed the contract. Denuvo is sort of an ongoing expense. Atleast if you wanna upgrade the denuvo protection when a version gets cracked.
