I suffer from sleep paralysis and experience it once or twice a week, this is incredibly accurate aside from the fact that it’s always red lighting(at least for me) and the figures aren’t even always human, but just semi human shaped and their like misty shadows, sound and touch is also a big part of it, I’ve felt actual pain during one of these, and the sounds are gut wrenching

Btw if you do have sleep paralysis I had tips just from my experience: don’t open your eyes, don’t panic, try to move only your fingers and toes and remind your self it’s not real because your in a state where your body thinks it’s in a dream but your fully conscious of your surroundings

I've only experienced sleep paralysis once...
There was something written on the wall i was staring at, but I couldn't read it. My bedroom door was open (I always have it shut). A figure appeared in the door and just stood there, staring at me - looked like a lady in a white dress. She went away when I (internally) shouted for her to go, but came back shortly.
    Woke up, door was shut.

I only experienced sleep paralysis once. I was in my room, the door was supposed to be shut but it's open and there's a black figure staring at me. The room is dark and there's this glitchy effect in my visions. I felt numb and cannot move but i tried moving. It only lasted 5-7 sec before I woke up. The black figure looks like one of those unnerving entity from a average analog horror series. Tall, Unnerving eyes, featureless body, dark black skin, deformed head and something like that.

Watching this after finding out about sleep paralysis, I realise that I am infrequently affected by this.
Although before when this happened, I was convinced my house was haunted and it was nothing to do with my head.
That makes me think, how many other people who say that they have seen ghosts have actually experienced sleep paralysis instead.

It might be me because when I was 7, I had my eyes shut, but I saw something glowing, like an eye or something booping up and down. My eyes were closed the whole time, but eventually it went away, and as it went away, my bed began to shake. I’m not sure if I was able to move since this memory is very faint and I remember being mostly frozen in fear.
Maybe it was a ghost, maybe it wasn’t. 🤷

I recently figured that i had quite a lot of sleep paralysis moments.
A couple of them were neutral, i was simply laying on my bed with my eyes closed, but awake, and when i was trying to move - i couldnt, and nothing or nobody was staring at me.
Then things started to get creepier. Twice i had the exact same plot. It was the feeling of somebody slowly coming towards me, someone tall and... invisible? I was already laying fully under my blanket on my stomach so i couldnt see it nor could i move. It then stopped right before my bed and started lowering its head above me and stopped a couple centimeters away from my head... i just felt that happening. But the most horrifying thing was the sound that i was hearing in my ears and the closer he was approaching the louder the sound was becoming, and it became SO loud my eardrums started trembling and hurting and i thought they were going to explode... bruh, my heart was beating like a drum and i was sweating like hell. The sound was a bit different from the sound in this video, it was actually EXACTLY like the sound of Slender Man or similar to that when a monster chases you in Amnesia: The Dark Descent (i guess the devs took inspiration from that and it wasnt my imagination after experiencing those games because i read a couple of comments on YT saying they were hearing those exact sounds while having sleep paralysis, and also this exact video has kind of a similar sound).
I remember one being not as scary, but it felt like the TV was on and someone was walking back and forth in my room. Then i felt it approaching my bed - it then felt like it stared at me for a second, but i thought it was my roommate doing something in my room and i thought i was just half awake, but then i tried to move but couldnt, then i woke up - no one was around and the TV was off.
Then a ~year later (today) i had another one. So I opened my eyes - I was laying on my right shoulder facing the wall and suddenly i felt as if someone started slowly moving my blanket. I didnt understand what was going on, i tried to move my head to look who it was but i couldnt, then it felt like it put its hand on my left shoulder with pressure and the blanket started to shrink as if i was being suffocated by a snake, i tried to move but couldnt, it was happening for about three seconds. Then my eyes started to close and for milliseconds i quickly thought to myself loudly - " AM I DYING? AM I HAVING SLEEP PARALYSIS?" (without actually calling it sleep paralysis because i had no idea what sleep paralysis was at that time, but i somehow figured that i wasnt really dying). I was trying to prevent my eyes from closing and after i accepted my fate my eyes closed fully and then i woke up...
And when i did, i think it did feel as if my shoulder was indeed touched and my body was being strangled, creepiest shit ive ever experienced.
I didnt know that those were sleep paralysis moments until the latest one happened. I went googling and after i read about this phenomenon I instantly remembered all my strange experiences during nights and everything started making sense to me. Except i still dont understand why almost all of them are quite horrifying. Well, to be honest, after reading other people's experiences and seeing all the images i can gladly say that mine were not as horrifying due to not seeing any creature or whatever...

When I have this I always feel this ticklish pressure on my back and the more I fight it, the stronger it becomes. Usually if I hear a noise or something, I’ll wake up. That’s why I keep music on when I feel like I’m going to have one of these dreams.

All I have to say about this animation is that it is SHOCKINGLY accurate, but I don't hear any whispering though.
The shadow figures rapidly moving sent chills down my spine as I remember feeling the crushing feeling on my chest and the pang of suffocation that accompanies it. I opened my eyes to see a shadow figure with its hands clasped around my throat, and when I did, it rapidly slinked away from me and down to the foot of my bed and out of view.

I've only had sleep paralyzes like 2 times. One time I was sleeping, woke up but couldn't move anything and everything felt numb, luckily I was facing a wall and couldn't see any horrors and eventually after having my eyes closed for a bit I was able to move again. The 2nd time I wasn't so lucky, I was sleeping in the living room on the couch this time and same thing happened again, I couldn't move and everything felt numb, this time I was facing the whole entire living room and across from me near the kitchen is a hand with long fingers, panicked a little and closed my eyes while trying to move my fingers to know when im out of it and after like 3 minutes I moved my fingers and I got up. That hand shadow was gone

idk if i have sleep paralysis or not, sometimes when im trying to sleep, i feel voices in my head that are not clear, just gibberish. i cant move or talk. i never open my eyes because i heard opening your eyes while in sleep paralysis makes it scarier or make strange demons appear. after some time (like 3 minutes) i gain my ability to walk and move

Ive experienced sleep paralysis a handful of times but it was always just 1 silhouette of a figure just rocking back and forth and shaking in my hallway, at the end of my bed, right next to me or over my body. I always felt like the figure was about to pounce, just never knew when, and that was the scariest part about it. only once did the figure actually interact with me... it choked me out and I woke up with my heart beating dramatically.

Iv'e had sleep paralysis before. Most of the time I don't remember or it's very faint. But one time it was very clear. I was 9. I remember waking up in my room. It was a regular Sunday morning. The light was shining through the curtains. It looked to be about 9:30 in the morning. my books were on the shelf, my stuffed animals were on the bed, the ceiling and the walls were normal. I was faced up, my arms at my sides, my legs together. But I wanted to go back to sleep. So I tried to roll over and pull the blankets over my head. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe. I tried to scream, yell, squirm, cry, I tried everything, yet nothing worked. I was terrified, because this has never happened to me before. I heard whispering in my ears, I felt someone breathing on my face. I saw a dark figure outside my window. I have no idea what it was. I think it had to do with the trauma I had as a kid, because I was stalked when I was 6 or 7. Now I have severe anxiety and always feel like I'm being watched.

This is slightly accurate but it's definitely not the same for everyone. The fakest thing about this was the lady coming back in the bedroom to check if you were okay. No body can tell you're in sleep paralysis, and most definitely not someone who's not even in the room lol

In 2022 I had sleep paralysis almost every night it was terrifying but after a while I got used to waking up and seeing a random thing staring at me. My paralysis randomly stopped one day and stayed that way for almost over a year but recently about a week ago my dog woke me trying to get in my bed. so i got up and started walking to get my dogs bed so she would sleep in it but as I climbed out of my bed I got maybe two feet across the room before looking up and seeing a tall man standing by my closet looking at me there was no face it was a completely black figure I stopped where I was and looked up. I thought it was my dad but after asking I got no response it just looked straight ahead at my bed. I walked backwards and climbed into my bed and peeked out at the figure from under my blanket it didn't move it didn't say a word it just look forward it was the most terrifying thing in the world and all I could do was pretend it wasn't there and go to sleep. I asked my dad the next morning if he had been in my room last night but he said he hadn't been. I still have no idea what that was it didn't seem like sleep paralysis but it also didn't seem like I was dreaming. Thinking back on it the creepy part is the fact the figure was hanging over my dogs bed and just so happens my dog frantically trying to get in my bed.
