    Still on the fence about pipes, but man, you're making it easier to go over to the pipe side.

    Im about to get my first pipe, I just turned 40 and its something I've always wanted to get into. Im going to start with Missouri Meerschaum County Gentleman Corn Cobb. The pipe Comunity has been so respectful and knowledgeable. I appreciate the culture.

    I’m a sucker for anything rum-related, so I grabbed some when it was released! However, I’m trying to work through some open blends before opening anything new… but this tin continues to call to me to crack into it! Thanks for the great review!

    Good Morning Preacher. I just ordered a few tins of this blend. I’m not an aromatic expert or regular smoker of them due to the artificial flavors I get from them. Just don’t like it. However, listening to your review and others I was convinced to give this a try. I’m hoping to find it enjoyable and something different to sneak into my rotation for a flavor reset from traditional English blends. Cheers

    I am pretty new to pipes, just a couple weeks actually. I did just try this one. It smells so wonderful when you open the tin! I guess I’m still developing my pallet because while I found this OK, I just don’t get all the different nuance of flavors and aromas that people describe. I am hoping that will come with time? My favorite blend that I have tried so far is called Eileen’s Dream. And I hope I don’t get disparaging comments for admitting this, but I do like Captain Black regular. thank you for your videos and information. Oh, by the way, I did try early morning pipe and I don’t care for that.

    This isnt about the blend you just reviewed. I wanted to say I got a tin of the chelsea morning... One of the best smoking tobaccos that ive had yet. The flavor is good, spicier than I expected. It is so easy to smoke. Im definitely going to start picking up more of your recommendations. Thankyou so much. Take care!!

    I was able to snag a couple of tins from my local B&M Thursday and have had several bowls already. I have to say that without a doubt it’s an immediate favorite. I get a lot of baking spices with mine along with the vanilla and I’m not sure if that’s from the rum barrel aging or another topping they may have added. It has not bitten me at all and I think if it wasn’t a limited release I probably would have this in my rotation. I can’t smoke inside my dwelling, but the people who have been around me while smoking it think it smells amazing. I agree that pricing is a little steep, but after having almost half a tin I will admit that it’s worth the price (to me).
    Thank you for the review and your thoughts on it. Have you seen that they released a plum pudding cigar yesterday? (March 18th) I was wondering if that would be something you would review as a mostly pipe smoker and it being made with Plum Pudding and Habano leaf as the binder and wrapper.

    • @TheSpurgeonPiper
      @TheSpurgeonPiper  2 місяці тому +1

      You won't go wrong with either. Both are reputable. But I would look into a filtered pipe if you are a wet smoker. It will help quite a bit. And if worst case you don't want to use filters, you can thrown in an adapter that they usually come with

    • @TheSpurgeonPiper

    Newbie question: when i puff on the pipe do i keep my airway closed and pull on the pipe into my mouth or do I have my airway open and breathe slightly to get it to pull it into my mouth? The ladder i could retrohale easily and taste a bit better but it hit the back of my throat a little hard. Lastly, do i only do the open airway method only when i want to retrohale?

    • @ryan8737
      @ryan8737 5 місяців тому

      I do both. The former, then the latter. To be clear, draw the smoke into your mouth like how you do a milkshake. You don't inhale a milkshake, do you? But you know how to draw it into your mouth.
      Then, with the smoke in your mouth, just breathe in through your mouth. The smoke will go into your lungs, then you can retrohale or just exhale or whatever.
      Hope this helps!
