TO! Looks like you're having fun. Put all that stuff, especially that boat-anchor tuner, in the front of the trailer, and end all sway in the rear, lol. See you out there. 73 de Bill
That's a Ramsey Electronics "Q" kit built QRP amp. Intended for very low power CW transmitters, input 1 watt to amplify up to about 10 watts. Good find. I hope it still works.
Am I mistaken or didn't Ramsey have the transmitter kit that went with this amp? Ramsey has had some really kool kits over 40 years until closing in Jan 2016. Like watch out Heathkit! Anyone remember Dick Smith Electronics from down under?
The Jedi are not holding you back anymore,You got what you've always wanted, your very own "ham shack hot line", the inquisitors will be inquiring, tnx Man!
I started carrying an A-to-micro adapter in my shooting bag because my electronic ear pro charges with micro. Other than cool factor, is there a reason to use a hardware TNC vs. Direwolf?
The pk-232 has a bunch of built in decoding modes and I think direwolf would need another piece of software that may or may not exist. Like for Amtor or Paktor.
I have that exact MFJ TNC and the cables to hook it to my TS-520S. Also, the power brick. It's outside in the Connex box somewhere. I really wanted you to see what that HW-8 was going for that was behind the tuner that Ape bought. Would have been fun to know.
@@temporarilyoffline The HW-8 I have is Heathkit assembled for display. I bought from a Heathkit store in Ft Worth in 1991. It REALLY is my first HF Radio. Mainly just listened on it.
From your walk thru on CaHR it appears there were some quality items. Nice score but now you need to start tossing stuff or you'll soon be overweight 🤣🤣🤣.
Hi. To. I’ve just bought a condenser mic with sound card I’m looking to use it on my g90 plus I have purchased a nice headset with mic. Could you help me with names or numbers of leads connectors. The mic as a 3mm jack plug on it Thankyou. Mark.
The G90 uses an RJ-45 connector for its microphone connection. I believe the pinout for that is in the manual. I've never tried out use a "desk mic" with the g90, good luck!

Lots of weight up front is a good thing!
The cool thing is having on-the-spot ideas based on the good deals you run into!
Exactly! There is always something to explore in this hobby!

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Looks to be in perfect condition. Now to figure out how to safely test it.

Loving the power pole to ring terminal cable. Looking to mod my 891 with the power pole conversion kit.
It's a nice mod. Very convenient!

I think I'm at 5 in, 1 out as a rule now. Should be fine for another 2 months.

I've got a 232MBX sitting in my garage. Hasn't been powered up in decades. Hmmm.
Hey David! We've been playing with them on nuggets, have no idea what we're doing.
Making PSK Great Again? 😉
Doing my part!
Was it ever not?
If you don't find one in the meantime I can send you the circuit for that Ramsey amplifier. It's about 25w out if I remember correctly. 73 Ed.
Hey Ed, thanks. If it's handy to email it, go for it ... Otherwise I won't have a mailing address for a while. Thanks!
