I took mine out of the case and did an unpair and then paired them before watching this video. Holding the button on the back 13 seconds does a factory reset!

Yes, you're right. There's nothing saying that both of the earbuds must be in its charging case to pair. I'm going to do this with my other earbuds. I've basically been using one set and just misplaced one of the earbuds to that set. I'll find it. I appreciate your insightfullness. This may be the problem with my various earbuds. Thanks again.

Don't need to hold back button 13 seconds! Just take the fully charged pods out of the charger and do a search and find them with your android phone then pair them!
