As an Irish person I can confirm the largest part of the tree would have been inserted where the sun don't shine. What an absolute arse hole that guy was.
My crew had a dangerous take down during the Super Bowl about 10 years ago. We were in the tree at 8am and fired up the chippers at 10am. We staged as much material as we could and ran out of room to be safe in the drop zones. This tree was 60’ with a girth at the base of 64”. When we cut the butt it had less than 15% viable wood. Wood oeckers and bores made this tree a danger to 4 homes including the people that came out complaining we were interrupting their pre game party. Most tense interaction I’d ever had as a business owner. The neighbors involved tried to interfere with our operations by continually coming into our work space and interfering with chipping. At that time we were using a back up Chuck and duck drum chipper As you so pointed out if any one were to get caught up in the brush entering the machine they would be instant shark chum. End of their life which your clearly stated he had a death wish. But also risking the operator as well. It is sad when we hear of catastrophic chipper accidents. Locally (not our crew) there was an accident where a climbers lines were not cleared from brush in the drop zone. The ground crew was negligent in their duties while chipping and the caught up line went into the chipper pulling the helpless climber into the machine in less time than it takes to blink your eyes twice. We as tree service professionals know the dangers and that’s why for those of us who take our work as professionals seriously have daily safety meetings before every job begins to inspect out equipment and reinforce our protocols to help ensure everyone goes home to their families at the end of the day. We also perform 1 hr weekly tailgate meetings at each jobsite and Mandatory monthly meetings in house to maintain skill performance. We cannot be allowed to destracted from our jobs or people die. Bystanders must be kept at a safe distance. I must say that your cones that delineated your work zone were much too close to your equipment. This allowed the Karen to be on top of your crew before they realized he was in your work area You had no buffer to anticipate his entering your work area.
Where these guys are, they have to have a safety meeting daily, daily briefings and debriefings and have documentation showing their safety equipment is able to do the job. But all of that is by Worksafe, which is basically like OSHA. If they fail to meet even one safety standard, then they have a reasonable time frame to fix it. But will get massive fines if they fail to correct the issue.
You will never have a rational discussion with someone who is functioning from a base of unbridled ego which is basically fear of not getting what you want, limiting your ability to make rational choices. You guys did an excellent job in maintaining your cooperative demeanour and trying not to escalate the situation. In the face of verbal abuse you tried to explain your position and the dangers in what he was doing (aside from getting his head punched off 😵💫). It's quite easy to remain calm when you're completely in the right and the other person is completely in the wrong, and unhinged. He's only one phone call to the cops away from being dragged off. So in that sense, all the power in that situation is with the boys.😄

"any other tree crew would have punched him" truth!
Great tree work video. Have no idea how you were so calm in this scenario
It's quite easy to remain calm when you're completely in the right and the other person is completely in the wrong, and unhinged. He's only one phone call to the cops away from being dragged off. So in that sense, all the power in that situation is with the boys.😄
As the owner of a tree which requires maintenance every year or so I make sure the neighbours are aware beforehand.
He just admitted on video he lied. Take everything he has.
My husband is a tree guy too. He comes home with some of the most outrageous stories!
Such a positive vibe ❤️, you kept those boys motivated! Descilated that stupid situation.. you sir know how to run a crew!
That dark wizard changed his class throughout the day
You guys seem like a good crew to work with. A solid crew makes all the difference when it comes to tree work.
You guys should be sooooooo proud of the way you handled that incredibly aggressive individual. I would 10/10 recommend your team. I hope he sorts out his anger management issues before he gets hurt. I hope he watches this video so he can see where he went pear shaped.
Enjoyed the video. You did good. Handled the confrontation as best could be. Hopefully he will remove his ridiculous review. He's definitely at a low point in his life....but that's no excuse to try and make everyone else's life miserable as well. Thanks for posting. You provided a good lesson in dealing with nuts on the job.
The little bloke in black whinging, summed himself up perfectly with that one word… TOTAL 100%
Didn't see any other neighbours complaining.
If he thought the bushes were loud wait until they start feeding that tree in the chipper.
You definitely held your composure way better than most people would of. Your a great man brother cant win them all.
Well done to all you guys for being so calm and professional 👍👍 keep up the good work
Next time ignore the crazy goat 🤣 and block the sidewalk with your car. Great work guys
"You're clearly going to piss people off" I did 5 years of tree service in residential city areas and never had someone do this.
Tell that deuce in the black jacket to get up earlier, go to bed earlier. It’s called a workday for a reason.
Wow, he's getting about a 40 year head start on his 'angry old man' phase.
I’ve had a couple of those. One was coming of meth probably. The other was just plain crazy. Too ironic that you were dealing with thorny bushes tangled in the tree…hope your day got better!
You guys were way too patient and nice to this bloke. He’s clearly never been belted.
I bet this guy is gonna have a cheerful life what a duchbag
No a tree man wouldn't swallow his eyes shut to take out stress of the day
Look who’s talking about being respectful. Crikey!
People love to have a go at a bloke at work wearing a hi-viz.
Man, that Dude was Chipper Material!!!🎉😂
Grumpy little man thinks 8am is early… wow. But he came back to explain his situation… even if some reality was lacking from his complaint.
As an owner of a tree service company i wouldn't have been able to bite my tongue. Guy wouldve been at the hospital actin like that
When a necromancer (guy in a hood) comes out of their evil cave (mother's basement) after doing their evil deeds (gooning) to use his evil spells (be rude) at the group of dwarves cutting down eleven houses (bros doing their work).
Is it odd that the people who won't use gloves still wear boots? Nobody is like "I'm too tough to wear boots!" 🤔
Because I save a lot of time and money by not using gloves and my hands are tough enough. The opposite is true when it comes to boots.
But I have a pair in the glovebox and also have taken my boots off to get a job done, it just rarely gets that bad.
@@DMAX-tp4pc no you don't bro lol
It's because you don't need most of the time unless you're a pussy with soft hands like a little girl
you need your hands out for fine work
Dude in his robe should be holding a scythe. Like the grim reaper.
He definitely did attack you. It was verbal abuse.
Proper risk assessment and very competent work on a dangerous tree.
A great tree surgery team.
Watching from the states and this bloke is a joke. Not only are you doing a job to save the house it is also public safety. This guy should realize that if he was walking with his kids and the tree breaks and falls bad thing happen. I am sorry that he may have issues?? Just keep doing what you are doing to keep everyone safe!
Situation was handled very well. Very professional, kept your calm and cool headed.
