"Made specifically for the hardcore KettlePizza user or professional who wants faster cooking cycles and higher dome temperatures for near Neopolitan pizza results. The KettlePizza ProGrate & Tombstone Combination Kit contains a unique stainless steel grate that has openings on the sides for fast refueling. Use this kit with the 22.5" KettlePizza unit and all one has to do is remove the grill lid and drop down charcoal or hardwood chunks. The product also has a special elevated fire basket in the rear where hardwood chunks can be added. Having hardwood at the same level as the stone allows more heat to circulate into the dome of the chamber providing even higher temperatures for faster cooking cycles.
The most important component in this kit is the tombstone shaped 5/8' cordierite pizza stone. This stone is 15.7" x 14.5" with a rounded edge. Since it is thicker, it retains more heat and makes pizza placement and removal easier.
The product is Made in USA and has patents pending. NOTE: This product works only with 22.5" grills. This product does NOT include the basic KettlePizza insert.
Features
Installs within KettlePizza 22.5" units.
Allows easy refueling through sides, no removal of KettlePizza necessary to remove.
Rear firebox allows higher temperatures to be achieved in dome of grill.
Grate made 304 grade stainless steel. Tombstone made of 5/8" Cordierite.
Made in USA."

Full disclosure: Kettle Pizza provided their product at no charge and with no compensation. All comments, opinions and views are my own.
that thing is way cool !thanks for sharing Gary !
My pleasure John!
I like how the top of the stone sits level with the bottom of the front opening
Yes, definitely an improvement.
I can't wait. Saving my pennies.
You will be happy you did Michael! Thanks for subbing!
Thank you for your reply
👍❤️
I've read that with the Performer models it is a good idea to remove the plastic "bushings" from the lid holder as they can melt or become compromised. Have you any feedback on this? Great video!!
I have used my Kettle Pizza accessory many times with no issues. I would think that those bushings would be a high temp plastic? Not sure, but if I find out I will let you know.
great video sir, just a question, the instruction of this kit says that if you have a weber performer you must remove the plastic rollers attached to the lid holder or they will melt. Ever seen anything like this?
They're erring on the side of caution. Most people won't get the oven hot enough for long enough to melt the bushings, but since it could happen and Kettle Pizza doesn't want to get complaints they put that warning on paper.
I want the kettle pizza fairy to drop one of these off at my house.
Could happen!
Cooking Outdoors the fairy dropped it off yesterday!
Nice! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Nice...
Thanks.
nice!
Thanks
I would have liked to see the next step of actually using it.
Here are a couple of videos showing me cooking with it:

looks decent
The first time you talked about the stone, you called the material "Cordierite." But after that you said "Cordite." I certainly hope it's not Cordite, since that is an explosive made from nitroglycerine, nitrocellulose, and gelled petroleum. ;-)
Not much of a review.
