That is simply unbelievable, that collector had nothing but top notch parts. The Shamal, NR Groupo, Concorde LoPro and the Deltas only a man can dream of.
Fascinating. And what a haul, Andy! Let the world marvel at electronic gears and battery operated brakes. I'll take classic Campagnolo over all of it. Thanks for bringing him back on.
I can attest to the Quality as well as the Beauty of a Tommasini. I still ride my 1986 Racing model all the time. I raced it in the 80s, had my crashes, and I still ride it alot. 36 years of joy...It is so agile and so fast...it always shocks other riders. Downtube shifting not as fun. I've seen several shifting retro-fits like those Super Prestiges' have. I'm hoping to travel over to the Grosetto factory to get another one day.
@@paulwheeless1080 Just the frame with a headset in place. I inch threadless steel fork. Absolutely stunning. I can only afford to build it with Shimano 105 which i will do myself. I build all my bikes.
I’m lucky enough to have two beautiful Tommasini - one a Tecno, and the other is a titanium Mach. Great company to work with, and with a heritage that’s becoming all the rarer these days.
It's great to see the sincerity and respect from Mitch in how he will put these super rare components from yesteryear back into use for others to hopefully cherish and enjoy. As always, a big thumbs to Andy for his enthusiasm and commitment to sharing these moments for us all to watch with envious eyes - Chapeau !
My 1st edition C Record bike is my most prized possession. IMO 1st edition is best looking - except the BRAKES! ... Deltas are massive and out of proportion, the blue 'rhinestone' cobaltos are a bit dated and the steel cam parts rust , 1st edition Chorus monoplanar substitutes - over the top visually, dual pivots - not period correct. Record pro fit pedals and 2000 era smooth skewers look great on early C Record but the brakes...
Cracking video - love the yellow prestige! And those Deltas 😍 Sounds like someone needs to change the battery on the smoke alarm with all that beeping 😉
A Tommasini is on the bucket list for me, I missed out on one a few years back and I'm still kicking myself over it. They are getting more and more expensive, and I rate them higher than the Colnagos
had one a few years ago in close to mint condition if you dismiss a minor ding on the top tube. paint was immaculate. rear spacing was 120mm and i wanted to upgrade it to a more modern 130mm. tried cold setting with a car jack over many hours and the steel would bounce right back to 120mm. sold it as is...
That Tommasini red super prestige is awesome! even more beautiful than a Colnago mexico/master in my opinion. I know that Tommasini is from Grosseto Tuscany, the region of the Renaissance! Leonardo de Vinci! Viareggio Carnival! Is it any wonder that bike is so beautiful!
Loved it. I'm a campag man and a find of what dreams are made of..............i used to look into bike shop windows and dream of this stuff. actually watched the vid twice!
So beautiful you wouldn't want to get them dirty. I think i've commented about this before but i would rather leave these for the cashed up collectors and ride a mid level bike with mid level gear, have some classic bike fun without breaking the bank. Once those high flange hubs are out of the box part of their value is already gone...
I own a bike shop and last week two guys came in. One had a Trek 1990's bike with 105 and the other had a Ciocc with Athena. Both bikes cost around $1500 in 1995, but the Trek is now worth $100 and the Ciocc is worth about $2500.
Good day, I've just discovered your channel and what a find 😁 I'm into resto mods and have 2 ' Carless ' of Crewe frames, one of them was custom made for time trial legend Alan Roberts who was Dave Hindes team mate......both are fitted with Dura Ace 7800 groupset.....the last of the shiny modern ones. Also a Merlin track bike with Dura ace cranks and hubs.....all beautiful. Great channel, I'll be working my way through your vids. 💪 Mick

@@BikeItUK Thanks just got it from the factory in Grosseto. Only took two months to build. Paint work is so thick. Looks like about 10 coats were applied.
Its really, really, really, really sad when you have to try and restore and build beautiful bicycles from yester year with the parts from a deseased man's bike collection. I mean none of these parts should have ever gone out of production and we should still be enjoying them, not crawling our way through people's attics looking for spare bits. Its like here in Ireland our psycho government want famers to cull their healthy cattle to lower carbon made up emissions, while people in other countries are starving to death and begging for food. Evil beyond words.
Eh, there will be no cattle culled. Herd numbers will be reduced going forward. I'm not pro the changes, but let's stick to facts. (I'm Irish, live surrounded by cattle)
Ooooh yes! Cam. Pag. Nolo. Rolling jewelry. Why does anyone else even bother! Great post Andy
Yes Bob, good question....thanks for watching buddy
absolutely georgeous. we need this craftsmanship again these days
It would be great if it was mixed up, old looks and manufacturing with some new advancements maybe 🤔

Nice to see someone like Mitch…he knows EXACTLY what he’s come across and treats it with the respect the parts and their former owner deserve
Definitely, Mitch really is a true gent. A pleasure to be in his company 👍
The red Tommasini is astonishing. Sometimes, life is like a box of Deltas.
😂😂 yes it certainly is, would of been great to of seen Mitch’s face on opening them for the first time.
