There are two major problems, specially Renault Triber-
1) It's engine- I test derived it, it seems that for long route it may bring tiredness while driving such a not so smooth car. Although all other features in the car is amazing. I planned to almost buy the car but now dropped it for Tata Nexon.
2) it's parts are not available
One minor issue is that it needs to improve its build quality. You see the road accidents and how the car get damaged although it's safety may be better than many.
Hope Renault is reading this someday. I had such a deep desire to buy Renault Triber but I'm forced to drop the plan with a very heavy heart.
Although Tata Nexon is also very very good and comfortable car with added advantage of it being completely Desi🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 and it being a very good company with high ethical values...

Thanks for the informative video. It seems that Renault is still not understanding the customer demand and is not bringing turbo engine in Triber. Renault should look at the sales figure of Ertiga which is selling like hot cakes and it should offer some serious competition to Ertiga, which is possible only by fitting the turbo engine in Triber.
That's true they should completely stop non turbo vehicles.
In seven seater car engine upgradtion from 1000cc to 1500cc along with turbo charged can bring a boom in MPV segment under 12 lakhs budget

Triber needs 1.5 or 1.2 L engine with turbocharger adas 2 automatic gears cruise control.
4 cylinder engine is must.
The main reason Triber is selling because of its price, 1.5 l engine, adas will increase cost. Then people will buy other four wheelers available.

I am a Triber lover but no color option according to my choice in the base model. I am using Alto for 7 years. 10:09

I own kiger rxt non turbo its a good vehicle but really they to upgrade the engine. Ifs very underpowered and i feel scared to take it to hilly areas.

Thank you Car guru ji for bringing this interview to us which was helpful for us to know what Renault management thinks. But the views of the management was as I expected. They are not focused on the real issues behind their failure and that is quality. Poor quality everywhere.
1) Poor AC which consumes too much fuel and cools less than required.
2) Poor fittings, the car becomes noisy after about one year.
3) No rodent protection, rats intrude into wiring system and cabin and do lots of damage.
4) No tyre fenders, lots of tyre noise comes into cabin at higher speed.
5) Poor head lights.
6) Quality of other parts also do not seem to be very good.
The management doesn't seem to be intetested in exploring the reasons of its failure. 3 cars combined are making monthly sales figures about just 2000 per month. They do not want to know why it happened to them.

Isi bad approach ke Karan Reno pichad gayi. Aur abhi bhi wahi laparwahi dikh Rahi hai.
By the time Renault will get new models or will understand that the triber/kiger engines have to be upgraded, other manufacturers would have taken the game way ahead! Renault will stand no chance of competing. I don't understand what's holding them back from launching Duster as early as possible in India. Wrong feedback being provided by their Indian team probably.

I can only think of one reason why renault is not bringing a better engine for triber 1.2L NA or 1.0 turbo is Kiger.
Bringing a better engine and 7 seater at price slotted lower than kiger would hurt kiger's sale.

The management should prioritize engine refinement and power, as these factors is contributing to the low sales of their unit.
What is the use of all these aesthetic , when you don't enjoy driving your with having underpower and noisy engine . Please ask your engineers to focus on power and noisy engine especially KWID or soon its going to die , mark my word.

@AskCarGuru It's been 8 months and nothing has come from Renault even though Mr. Sudhir said, this is an important year for Renault, a year to take off... Still no info on Renault Triber Turbo or 1.2/1.3/1.5 non Turbo engine that increases it's power to 100 bhp.

Non Turbo ki jagah Turbo engine + automatic (cvt) ka cost add kiya toh may be 9 lakh ex-showroom price ho jaaye
Ertiga vxi automatic ka cost 11.23 ex-showroom hai
So still Triber will have an advantage of at least 2 lakhs over Ertiga with similar power (103 bhp) aur jo ek main reason hai jis k wajeh se log Triber ki jagah Ertiga prefer karte hai (power), woh reason kam ho jayega.

Dear Mr Malhotra, sirf marketing over features on existing underpowered lineup of cars depicts the sales numbers of Renault India. Only by laughing and smiling things won't change In Renaults sales. Currently 2024 dekhiye bhaisab kya dekhu? The same old lineup which people are already rejecting !! The Triber is ur magic wand and uspe aap turbo nahi dete ho neither u r giving a 1.2L engine. I am very shocked to see that higher management is just mocking around. Except Triber none of their products are of true value 😅. Untill they bring Duster or a powerful engine in Triber no one is going to invest on Renault.

Nice question, but as far as I understand Renault has no plans for 2024 and trying to get some publicity by showing few features updates to the models they have . Feels like they are following Nissans footsteps, sad to see this , India is a demanding market if they continue think they can keep people interested with this gimmicks I don’t think they will be hear for long .

This Wait and Watch strategy of Renault will be the main reason for its extinction. They are waiting for Maruti and Tata to launch something, and then they will launch a competitor, whereas they already have enough to launch and grab the market. Indian customers don't buy cars every year. For many, is at least 10 years investment. So, instead of waiting, they should be agressive and proactive to capture the market.
You have Outdated data and no real information...as Indians are changing cars in just 5.5 years as per 2023...you were talking about 2016...
Do you know terms of manufacturing here in India between Renault and Nissan....answer is no...either you will never said like this...

@@AskCarGuru Understand the statistics well. The sell of is higher in Diesel cars, than petrol, and also location specific. For eg it higher in Delhi, but lower in kolkata. Just numbers won't tell real story. Renault is not launching Triber Turbo just waiting for another competitor।
Why are they even celebrating with few karol bagh type modifications, people need triber turbo and the new duster...
