One of my favorite obscure lucky guesses: As Lehi's family headed east from Nahom toward Bountiful, they entered the empty quarter, where there is no plant life. Nephi says they lived on raw meet. Why? In 1912, the Scott party was stranded at the south pole living on seal meat. They cooked it and started developing scurvy symptoms. Scott notice the natives were not getting sick, so he went to investigate: They were eating the meat raw. Raw meat, we now know, has a high concentration of vitamin C, which prevents scurvy. Joseph did not know this and did not explain why Lehi's party was eating raw meat. But, thanks to the Scott party, now we know. What a lucky guesser:)
The book also magically changed my life for the better. Because of it I cried to Jesus and had an insane experience of peace and forgiveness. Thanks ward radio for this gem
I can practically _feel_ the sass coming out of this video XD This is the product of a man who is tired, done, and fed up with 200 year old arguments. Well done!XD
My favorite part was at the end when he names all the special skills (like master hypnitist) that joseph would have had to have had. Mashing all the claims together like that, genius.
Joseph Smith is like Chuck Norris. He can cut through knives with hot butter, The boogieman checks under his bed for Joseph Smith. A snake once bit Jo Smith and after a couple hours of suffering the Snake was healed by Joseph Smith.
Ward Radio brought me here. Well done, man. Well done. Whenever I hear someone say, "The Book of Mormon is fiction" it's like someone saying "the Earth is flat". It's so painfully dumb and we're so past that. Like, do they eat glue too?
Good to see there's an UPDATED List of all the things that the Book of Mormon said about the America's which weren't known at the time, but then have SINCE been confirmed. LOVE all that GREEN....!!! :)
Fun fact: it wasn’t until Joseph started translating The Book of Mormon that he found out that there was a wall around Jerusalem. He said to his wife, Emma, “Hey babe? Did you, like, know that Jerusalem, like, had a wall around it?” And she was all like, “Well duh! Everybody knows that, dude.” And he goes, “Oh wow, I didn’t know that. That’s pretty sick that it had a wall.” And so, yeah.
My mom sent me this video and at first I thought he was making fun of the book of Mormon l, but after finishing it I really enjoyed that! All the jokes and sarcasm are hilarious and you can tell that this guy really knows how stuff
Lmao this is amazing. Great job! Edit: also I thought you might want to know you were a fulfillment of the spirit in my life. Sometimes when I study The Book of Mormon, Satan likes to worm little doubts into my mind. I pray about them and God clears away all the doubt with his perfect answers. One time when I read about horses being on America when the Nephites arrived, I had the thought that horses didn't arrive on America until the Europeans arrived. I prayed about this doubt and God told me to wait- the only time I've had an answer like this. I waited and found my answer here 2 months later. Thanks for shining your light to the world! ❤
The article you cited is about horses arriving in the American West in the early 1600s, brought by conquistadors, and traded to the north. This rewrites a theory that horses spread through the American West after the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. It never addresses horses existing during the BOM timeline. (Edit: grammar)

My grandmom had to work full time starting at age 12, but she owned the Complete Works of Shakespeare and read it to my dad when he was a child. Her copy of Tennison has her handwritten notes in it.
I'm so glad I found this (thanks, Ward Radio). I've been having trouble explaining stuff to my kids, but fortunately, this video explains things in a language they understand like... "Magnum Opus is Spanish for, 'Sick Book'" and "You could definitely build a sweet boat from trees like that"
Mortal life is pure sarcasm...I love this whole video! It's how my thought process worked and still does, when I chose to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This was actually really fun! I have sent this to my friend who is no longer an active member, because I think he will appreciate the humor surrounding the facts about the Prophet Joseph Smith and the translation of the Book of Mormon. Thank you for your hard work, brotha!
This is my new favorite missionary teaching device for friends and those curious about Joseph Smith and our church. haha Having faith that it happened as Joseph said it did is a lot simpler than running circles around trying to disprove it.
But Spiritual eyes! Or something... No, i got it! He made gold plates with his metal tools and shop... That no one knew he had. I'll think of something...
very powerful compare and contrast! I checked out this channel after the Ward Radio folks made the reference. This was better than I imagined. Cudos for the compilation and presentation, the skills are laser tight!
Love this video. One little note is that it's actually more likely he never used a seer stone in a hat. Lits of evidence to the contrary at this point.
I agree! The idea that the Urim and Thummim was preserved and passed down from prophet to prophet for centuries only to be shelved and replaced with a, all be it cool, rock in a hat. I don’t buy it for a second. However, many did and got off Joseph’s back about his translating method after he showed them, knowing that he couldn’t show the Urim and Thummim without being destroyed. I’d do the same thing.
That was not only really good, but humorous and quite interesting. One thing, though: There was a second edition of the Book of Mormon that was edited in Joseph's lifetime because there were some printer errors (and, perhaps, scribal errors). It still doesn't take away from all of the other points you made.
@9:20 Did any of you guys actually look at the horse information cited? It _doesn’t_ say that humans were using horses in America prior to Columbus. It says, “Spanish settlers likely first brought horses back to the Americas in 1519…Indigenous peoples then transported horses north along trade networks” and that then “horses spread along Native social networks”. Nowhere does this research claim that humans used horses before the Europeans brought them. To see the Smithsonian article shown in the screen, google on “New Research Rewrites the History of American Horses”. YT doesn’t like links but ill try and link to it in another comment .

The article also states: Horses and their relatives originally evolved in North America, before travelling across the Bering Strait into Asia and further west. While North American horses were still present as late as 5000-6000 years ago, they had *likely* died out before Vikings arrived on American shores around the end of 10th century. Note that this researcher uses ‘likely died out before Vikings arrived’, but also doesn’t lay claim as to when that would have been, and hedges with the word ‘likely’, which of course is not synonymous with ‘of certainty’. Also worth noting this article, written in 2023, still changes what was formerly thought say 100-150 years ago by researchers. They’ve moved the goal posts again, and will *likely* do so again as time goes on.
Yes it does. If you click on the "Conversation Article" by the two authors of the original study it says this: "Among the dozens of ancient horses we identified, precision radiocarbon dating revealed that several lived in the early 17th century or earlier - decades before the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, and in some areas, at least a century or more before the arrival of the first Europeans."
I love it. Skeptics can push back against a handful of these at a time, there are plausible explanations for a lot of the ideas. Plausible but not probable IMO. And when you consider the sheer amout of planning, coincidences, knowledge, and lucky guesses, required to fabricate the Book of Mormon its almost laughable. The only reason these facts aren't considered more seriously is because the alternative to him making it up is that it was just as he claimed: an angel came from heaven and showed Joseph where to get an ancient record and he was able to translate it by the power of God. When everything is laid out, the only reason not to believe the Book of Mormon is because you don't believe in God or His miracles. Giving any credibility to the Book threatens the very fabric of reality for most people. And I think God designed it that way on purpose.
It is immensely simple...either the Book of Mormon is from God, or it is from satan, and there is no way satan would testify of Christ like the Book of Mormon does. It's from God!
When people say that Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon I just laugh. It's like saying my kid brother wrote Quantum Computation and Lectures on Advanced Physics. Not only that, but we have the actual writings of Joseph Smith to compare to the Book of Mormon, the styles are completely foreign to one another. All one has to do is read D&C and the Book of Mormon side by side to see the stark differences.
Ah... it is so refreshing to hear somebody talk about the Book of Mormon from our side of the aisle that makes sense. It's too bad only those who bash our religion get the most clicks. You did a fabulous friend!
Thought it was great that you hit much of the anti talking points on a clever way. It showed how ridiculous those points really are when one sits back and actually contemplates them.
Where can I get a more detailed break down of those 200 items about the Book of Mormon? For example, one of the points is "Raw Meat". I'm pretty sure no one has every suggested raw meat didn't exist in Lehi's day, so is it a reference to an Arabian practice at the time? I'd love to dig into the list in more detail.
Keep them coming, bro! you’re hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time… That’s very difficult to achieve with JS & the BOM and you don’t even have a hundred subs, yet!💯🤘🏽
What a gem! Thanks for the work you put into this. Thanks to Ward Radio for promoting your great work! It’s true “badassery”! Now excuse me I have to go watch it again.
This! This is absolutely awesome! Thank you so much for creating it. I hope to see more. Though, you might need to tone back the sass and sarcasm, my Friend. Because you are so great at it that it flew over someone's head and they took it seriously... Especially about the books and maps and the hole in the hat with Goose Juice... Lol
I have read a lot of the History of Joseph Smith. A farm boy from Palmyra, NY. I wonder where and how he got all the supposed books that kid with a 3rd grade education is supposed to have gotten. Especially such books as are in this list that were not printed in the quantities that the Book of Mormon was. There was No bookstore or Library in Palmyra, a town of about 900 people, Books back then cost about 50 cents. The Original Book of Mormon cost 60 cents to print. Joseph Smith worked on a farm. Wages then were 50 cents a day, but I doubt he got anything much beyond room and board at his parents' farm. So where did he get them. Magically all these books appeared in Palmyra. What a falsehood this is. It isn't even a little bit true!
Guys, I think his 3rd grade education was just overly OP. JUST KIDDING, I love how this just destroyed almost every argument against the Book of Mormon. ... Also this is hilarious.

Joseph was also the best D&D dice roller ever - just kept hitting 20s. Pure coincidence!
Nah fam, you forget all his nat 1s. It seems he didn't have ANY mediocre rolls. Nearly Everything above 15 or below 5 and most are 1 or 20.

Impeccably well done and hilarious. My only note is that you should have mentioned that we found Ishmael’s grave for the Nahom bit.
Saw your mission call, congrats!
We did?
We found 'A' grave with the name of Ishmael. Was it the Ishmael from the BoM? We can't prove it, but it is very possible.
