Me and some of my bros recently started playing D&D 5e. We abrigdged and simplified a couple of rules just to make it simpler for us,and we spent hours just making our trio of Adventurers and getting through 1/4 of the first chapter of Tales from the Yawning Portal. We started around 9 pm and as we entered the well, I realized it was close to 2 am. Glad II remembered it all, because passing out is not fun..
Keep up the good work Darius,I LOVE THESE STORIES!!

I was . . . 9 or 10, and my brother's friends had this great idea to combine Robotech with AD&D with the idea that we would be dog fighting dragons in our Veritech fighters (see 'Gate: And so the JSDF fought' but add transforming mech). We wanted horses to help us fit in so we drove most of the way to town in an APC with a horse trailer and then walked the rest of the way, purchased horses using copper wire (or maybe the treasure from the dragon's horde we carpet bombed), brought the horses back to the trailer and then headed back home down a narrow, unpaved/unimproved trail.
Now, for some context. Around this time someone had purchased 'Saturday Night Live' and had the great idea that he was going to be the host of the next episode, but he'd been so busy with the business aspect that he wasn't able to attend any of the rehearsals, which apparently annoyed the members of SNL to the point that the entire segment was them taking out their frustration. In one skit the owner was pulled over by an obviously fake cop with a cliche lisp and 'frisked'. As the fake cop was pulling the owner over he waved his finger over his head and said, "Woo, woo. Pull over. Pull over," with that cliche lisp.
So, it's like 2 am and the DM ask how fast we're going down this trail, thinking to impose some driving penalty, perhaps, and one of my brother's friends ask, "What, is a rabbit going to hop out of the woods going, 'Woo, woo. Pull over. Pull over.'?" Complete with the circling hand motion, and the entire table burst out laughing.

so something like 15 or so years ago. we had 2 games going alternating week to week. One was the serious game and the other was the "fluff" game. role up something, don't take it seriously, don't get attached. I rolled a moon elf rogue/thief. that acted more like "Mask" from the Jim Carrey film the Mask. chaotic netural , slap stick, pranks, etc etc, very cartoony monty python crap. i would ask half way threw the week which game was running this weekend 1 or 2. the "fluff" game was me staying up for 48 hours, and down 2 pots of coffee before i got to the game, energy drinks out the wha zoo. and even more coffee. just to get those crazy ideas flowing and get into the insane humor that my guy is known for. But long story short, he runs the largest thiefs guild in Waterdeep now. If it happens in the criminal underground. Hes got his hand in the cookie jar somehow. to the point that he deemed himself a "secret" Lord of Waterdeep and has a uneasy truce with them. know the devil your in bed with than the devil your not kinda thinking. we keep the other worse guilds out. red hand, skullport, etc etc etc. Think Dark Knight near the end with the whole White Knight/Dark Knight speech. The Lords being the white knights and i being the dark knight but no batman, the dark knight in this case would be the Joker. lol, But runs the wards of waterdeep with a mafia style and hes the godfather of it all. lol All this on a insane elf and a very sleep deprived player jacked up on coffee. (Joker Cackles)

I don't have any stories to share sadly but it sounds like it would be a blast to do some dungeon delving with you and yours lol

In two worlds you can drag an duplicate item to another item and combine them. This would improve your mace if you didn't sold it.

Ooooh I didn't know you could do that with items other than the potion making items.
