Little hint. If you paint your first coat of paint white before your base , your final base coat will POP. BE BRIGHTER.
Looks great brother. I painted my Revolt 30 two weeks ago and was really impressed with the outcome. I bought a spray trigger and that helped out a lot. Painting my BJ 29 next.

Pro painter here, Aviation. Call me. Yes you need to clear coat over those stickers. Try wet sanding before your final clear. Rattle cans...well they are what they are.

Looking good Big B! A little pin stripe is all that boat needs to make it pop, but it's fine as is. It's gonna look awesome sailing across the water, but your not gonna see much detail at 70 MPH! Cheers brotha!

@@IRONCLADRC Use automotive pin stripe they sell on ebay. Much better than the pin stripe designed for scale models. You just have to use a heat gun after applying to activate the adhesive and use clear nail polish on the ends so that it won't start to peel. Almost all of my boats have some kind of pin striping. Can't wait to see that thing in the water now that it's all dolled up. Cheers!

I've got one in mind, soon as I find it again I'll share the hull with you. It's the closest hull type I've found to a drag boat.
Two Ironclad RC awesome job well done that boat is a beauty. I am the one that asked you if you custom built or bought it already done I'll let you know if I start cutting vinyl this summer on my vinyl cutter 30in cutter I can cut a paint mask vinyl for you so you can airbrush your custom letters on and also logos names Etc I also do regular colors and fluorescent colors and gold leaf. Also can do 4 color t-shirts. This way you have custom paint to color that you want on your boat logos Etc . you are one awesome RC boat builder I have seen you well-informed people that are building RC from a-z start to finish Hydro boats even deep V RC. Want to ask you a question if you don't mind me asking if you know anybody that has a 1/5 scale Hydro or 1/4 scale or 1/8 scale could you let me know I am retired now and I want to get back into building RC Hydro again or even buy one already done for a hobby I used to have a 1/4 scale Budweiser Hydro back in the day. if you know anybody that has one for a decent price . Used already built wood fiberglass composite wood or even abs Etc would you please let me know I've been looking for a while and they're just too expensive with damage where I'm at . like to find one a hydro RC with all the running gear or complete gas boat actually with a 30 cc or higher engine Racing Engine or a large nitro engine in it. if you can keep me in mind I would deeply appreciate it. I also have a 1/5 scale Ravens banshee with a 30.5 two-stroke gas engine in it brand new still in the box never ran never took it out of the box willing to trade or trade with some money if you know anybody . once again definitely one awesome build if you want to get ahold of me you can hit me up on messenger or send me a friend's request I'll talk to you soon. @@IRONCLADRC I definitely will. I've been on eBay just too expensive looking for gas or Nitro. I also have CD Flames skulls Etc different fonts excetra. If you Find any hydros let me know I've been on eBay either too expensive or with damage looking for one that I can work on also it doesn't break the bank.

I’ve never had good luck with krylon. Actually I take that back. It’s ok by itself, but when you Clearcoat it I’ve had tons of issues with it cracking or orange peeling really bad..
If the paint cracks or "bubbles" that means the base coats weren't completely dry ( primer & or base colors) The key is letting the base coats completely cure, that's why I spray my clear when I spray the base coat.
@@IRONCLADRC I try to stick to lacquer, or modern urethane, vs enamels. Dating way back doing models as a kid never had luck with enamel paint except for the testors brush paints I try to steer away.

@@IRONCLADRC yes...i get you, seems like a simple choice,but these are our babies man... i just got back from running my little 14 inch deerc boat...she's jammin with a 31mm 43 pitch graupner cf... temps are the same as with stock...she went 22 mph with stock prop(31 plastic about 1/2 the pitch) and now shes gotta be 30mph maybe more and still takes off pretty much the same out of the hole.....lets just say i don't need anymore speed its insane for me..
Hey buddy I got the 29 Miss Geico and I've got a couple spots on it that needs to be patched up what's the best material to use on the outside of that hule?
How big are the spots, scratches, gouges? Really depends how bad they are and what's used to repair the area.

Should of packed the inside with plastic trash bags so during sanding dust is not all over everything inside. 😕
The last outing I broke the battery tray out in a crash, the majority of the dust was from sanding/grinding out the old epoxy and prepping the area for battery tray installation. Thanks for the tip
