    , All these great radio actors, from the past did such a superb job.
    There was more than many that did different voice characters a lot of times some of them did,
    3 or 4 at the same time..
    I've listened to so many all the way back when I was a child with my grandparents. So many other generations that has listened to these plays and sat with their children as I have.
    something from or when we were all the way back to 8 years old you look back and remember how we,
    listen to them with our parents..
    well my comment really had no specific meaning that play but the meaning I'm trying to explain.
    This is something that you can,
    inherits as I have from my parents and grandparents...

    Love a mystery in a British accent. Although Scottish Hamish Macbeth audiobooks are fun too.

      There is no such thing as a British Accent! This is English R.P. ....received pronunciation. Or posh to the rest of us. If you speak like this here in Scotland you're a visitor! 😂

    All these years I've avoided Sexton Blake thinking he was an American detective and I'm not keen on those shows. Now I know he's an English detective, I've got a lot of catching up to do!

    Such a shame that the TV series hasn't been saved.

    Pimpernel. The ending, nel, is pronounced as the ell in the word well.
    As much as I am grateful for the stories being available so many of them nowadays seem to be read by A1 or some kind of computer generated voice. Thankfully it’s only the introductions here. I’d rather have adverts if that’s what it takes to have a person who can speak English correctly.
    It’s also very bad for learners of English who I believe listen to these stories to aid them and who then go on to look silly when they mispronounce words or names of places in real life conversation.

    Why, oh why, is there always a horrible fake voice to start these?

    • @aussieradio6584
      @aussieradio6584  5 місяців тому +1

      Well Phillip, the early shows have the AI voice introducing the shows. These were when I was learning to come up with some sort of presentation. You will find that the later shows no longer contain these introductions. So dear Phillip best advice I can give for the early show is just skip over quickly or dont listen.🤔
