- Well we had to wait, but we got a pretty good grand prix out of it, despite the appauling weather conditions. Max Verstappen is a Two Time Champion... I think... here are my thoughts on the whole weekend!

Gotta love how F1 fans are quick to check the rule book the moment FIA wrongly enforces a rule. But the moment they follow the rules exacty, everyone just conveniently forgets and just assumes everything.
Lots of book throwing in both cases. :D
I had a fun time correcting several people yesterday that think Max should've gotten a grid penalty by citing various cases of different incidents which are completely different from what happened in Suzuka. And that goes to a point people even put incidents in the wrong races.
@@BrunodeSouzaLino hate makes blind
Except in Monza where people were like "how dare you follow the regulations!"
the way you described Max winning championship was literally the reaction we all had when it got announced during the post-race interview. so much confusion all around that it became quite funny.
F1 knew way earlier, they were listing current points as full points about 5 laps from the end.
They did muck up earlier as they were using the shortened race points at the beginning.
This is how I found out max won the championship lol. I stopped watching right after the checkered flag because it was 4:00 AM
So we're not going to talk about Goatifi regaining p20 in the championship? 🐐🐐🐐
🐐🐐🐐🐐
Post race interview in a nutshell:
"Hey Max, congratulations on the win, although you'll have to wait till Austin to be officially crowned World Champion as the points for this race are reduced.........Oh wait Max come back a second will ya? Nevermind what I said two seconds ago; turns out you did win the championship this race! Well done!
Max: "Uhhhhh ok then, thanks mate 👍"
Watching that exchange while being half asleep made that interaction even more surreal.
Yeah, they didn't seem to want to give any credit at all in the post-race show. They like their WDCs to be Woke, Max is too based for Sky Sports...and too "Not British!".
The reaction was funny lol
I was totally sober, no drugs, no alcohol, no woman, just lying in my bed watching it all, but now I know how it feels to be totally drunk, under drugs and being abused by a woman, all thanks to the FIA.
Gasly talking on the post race show was one of the most emotional moments
the goat new tactic of racing them in the pits actually payed off.
GOAT? LMAO hahahahahah
@@SpotlightShowdown
First day here?
6:55 fuck JCB we need Mastercard Lola back on the grid
I love how the GOAT always plays a part in the championship deciding races. King will be missed.
Worth the wait do we think? Let me know what you thought of that one down below!
i hope its good
I want to unsubscribe, just so I can re-subscribe for the bridge joke.
Just watched the Bathurst 1000 while I waited for the race to restarted. Good race though but FIA need to sort it out.
Best way for vettel to end his carreer in my opinion tho
Upload was faster than a Japanese bullet train. BTW, I had a gut feeling Gasly was out ever since AlphaTauri started running clothing ads with Max :D
F1 Twitter is straight up imploding rn, thing is.. Max was just as confused as us about being champ. Even he was like: “Wait no, I’m not champion. Am I?”
Even Max didn't know he won the championship
FIA was a mess but filled the time with the Bathurst 1000 which was a great race to watch.
That is real racing. Eye teeth to see the Oz GP at Bathurst.
Exactly now that’s a proper race
Great comedy review but seriously the sport need to get its head into gear, we can’t just keep avoiding rain this is where most great races come from. Anyone forgetting Brazil 2016, Canada 2011 and Monaco 1996 to name a few
They need to put mudguards on the wheels to stop the spray from inhibiting drivers vision. Beyond that they simply need to let them race. Let driver skill sort out who wins it. We might get some unusual podiums from it.
brazil 2016 with 3 safety car periods and an hour's delay? canada 2011 where the race was suspended for 2 hours and had 2 safety car periods? monaco 96 where 90% of the field crashed out mostly due to the conditions? a lot of these super wet races had the same problems as this one theyre just remembered because through all the chaos there was a bit of good racing
@@mja2317
Good idea but it would, somehow, screw up the cars aerodynamics
@@minmaxxer canada 2011 like where button made something like 30 overtakes by himself? the race was only delayed because it was physically so fucking wet they couldn't make turn 1 on extreme wets. monaco 96 is a good race no matter whose eyes you view it from, the crashes added action and a sense of not being able to know what could happen next (also panis winning was insane). brazil 2016: safety cars are absolutely fine, and the delay (which may i add was similar reasons to canada) doesn't take away from the insane racing. difference being that here they physically waited until wets were 100% not needed and it wasn't tricky to drive since inters have mad grip
Noyce one! I tried to find a way to contact you earlier, just after the race. I was going to say ‘good fucking luck today, sorting that out’. But once again you absolutely nailed it! 😂😅
Cheers man!!
@@FP1Will 🐐 4lyf! 👊
So what baffles me is, all financial documents are signed off by one of the big 4 accountant agencies. The only way a team can go over the cost cap is because of a different view in interpretation, which is very common in a new set of rules. None of those accountancies will sign of a fraudulent document and put their names on the line. So even if there is a discrepancy it can not even be counted as cheating.
What?!? No red flag meme. I demand an edit! Lol great video
What I don’t get is why was Mercedes pouring over the points like they where in the Title fight … The Commentators said Red Bull and Mercedes were going over the points and the rules to see if Max won ….I swear it’s all they can think about is Red Bull.. first with the Flexi floor then the supposed Light weight Chassis debuting in Singapore…then the whole cost cap controversy thing which Toto Wolff started going on about the second Max could clinch a title…Even though the financial records got handed in in March..,
They probably should've awarded points for the Medical Car driver. He did more laps around Suzuka than the drivers.
I can hear Crofty going like:
"He did an amazing job, of noting the track status, he was leagues above anyone else at Suzuka. BRUNO CORREA WINS THE JAPANESE GRAND PRIX!"
not gonna lie, the Max Costcappen bit and Toto's masterplan to place 2nd sleeper agent Nyck De Vries in AlphaTauri was more funny than it had any right to be. I dont know how you come up with this stuff, Will, but its a gold mine.😂
Hahaha thanks man!
“Costcappen” wonder when this community will grow up, I cringe everytime I see those kinda names
@@orbit1894 Mate, this is called a Comedy review. It's meant to be taken as a joke. Maybe you should lighten up a bit and actually try to enjoy the vid.
@@theronking12 if it isn't funny and he thinks it is cringe the guy can have his own opinion about it without you explaining the title of the video right?
I think it's very funny that Lewis fans expect Max to get a grid penalty for something nobody ever gets a grid penalty for.
They're still trying to win the 2021 WDC for Hamilton. The way he behaved in his post race interview, I hope he never wins another race.
@@mikemelina7395 what did he do to warrant that sentiment? I just watched all the post race interviews with and can’t see anything.
@@mikemelina7395 lol they should be happy LH didn't do time for attempted kill in Silverstone and bottas for minor offences in Hungary

Oof 😂😂
Those Twitter comments are gold 😂 Possibly make it a regular feature?
👀👀👀
The Goat proving all his haters wrong after FP2
Blimey how do you get these done so fast? Were you editing during the 2-hour delay? ;)
Kinda disappointed that the FIA keeps letting their decision-making overshadow some genuinely great action each week. Speaking of, I'm amazed the race directors escaped your wrath - showing a Leclerc replay whilst Vettel and Alonso were side-by-side is shocking :(
Sky Sports: "Because it's only live once"
The fastest 5 seconds penalty of all time😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Woke up, watched 3 laps, fell back asleep, got woken up by my girl just before the restart. Watched the Japanese sprint race, fell back asleep, woke up, watched the post race show, fell back asleep, woke up, watched the comedy review. Think I'm just gonna go back to sleep untill lights out in Austin
The biggest laugh is that we can't have people race around on a tire suitable for the conditions that reduces the chance of everyone crashing but instead everyone is complaining how dangerous it is because you can instead do something stupid and go two seconds faster until you inevitably off the track, so instead we all wait because no one is willing to be sensible.
I feel like because no one knew full points were up, the race didn't feel as exciting as ut actually was.
Suzuka gave us a reason for another episode of Haas Watch. Guenther's tactics failed Mick completely! What sort of idiot leaves his driver out on the track with wet tyres, while everyone else switched to intermediates, causing his driver to fall back from first to last?
Mick soooooo deserves to be in a better car in a better Team!
It’s not a rules cock-up though. Rules were followed to the letter.
I think I actually remember the introduction of this rule and already thinking, “why does it matter if the race gets resumed?” So if that’s what you mean by cock-up, I agree. But if nobody who followed the news back then spoke up about it, it’s a little strange to say F1 fucked up now.
So yeah, it was anticlimactic. But maybe for next year, the FIA should ask #TeamLH to specify exactly how the season should go for them to accept a winner. So maybe RB can adjust their strategy to match that as closely as possible.
Great job! My weekly entertainment.
They should’ve just gave half points and waited to crown him champion in Austin. At least it would’ve been exciting.
Gasly overtook a JCB under red flag conditions, he should have given that position back.
The Twitter bit was gold
BEST race reviews 😂😂😂
Thanks man!
Mick's car committed seppuku 😂😂😂😂😂
nah we needed a haas watch segment because their strategy today was garbage and hypocritical
TECHNICAL RIVAL
Nice one 🤠
I love the content!
JCB entering an 11th team🤣🤣
That was scary shit.
In more important news the Goat is no longer in the 21st position
It's a bit of embarrassing that TV stations didn't knew the rules well enough. 🐐 Not the FIA but Sky etc. brought us that anticlimax. 🐐The rules were like this already for the whole year. 🐐
Imagine the finale we got if🐐Crofty🐐commented the battle between LEC and PER as championship decider.
#1 It's Sky Sports, you knew they were going to cock it up.
#2 Like I said, it's Sky Sports. If they could have got away with not admitting he'd won it all, they would have.
@@mikemelina7395 It wasn't just Sky sports - F1TV thought it was reduced points, the twitter journalists who are actually reliable thought it was reduced points, and the teams thought it was reduced points
Interesting race with Max winning and ( to everyone's surprise, even his own ) also winning the championship. Since Mercedes and Ferrari aren't complaining, it's probably true. And even Latifi finally got a point, but dit anyone see where Riciardo finished ?
Mercedes tried to complain after the race.
@@mikemelina7395 Source?
@@metrofilmer8894 Were you not watching the SkyF1 broadcast? At the same time the Red Bull strategists were reading the rulebook, Mercedes was as well.
Max WDC and Latifi got points, love it
Super Max
the GOAT wants new corners :D
Yeah honestly though, that JCB should _not_ be on track while drivers still are, and Pierre had every right to be angry, as I was when I saw it. That shouldn't happen at any circuit, but especially not here.
Given that the red flag lasted for 2 hours anyway, they could've waited untill all the cars were safely back in the pitlane,
its showtime
I think someone missed the memo of when Jean Todt handed over the FIA Presidency to Mohammed Ben Sulayem. 😉
To be fair, I think the search engine I used to double-check my spelling of MBS's name missed that memo as well.

Just reacting to F1 twitter makes for a great comedy review

The tweets are crazy🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great episode as always. Your F1 content always make me smile, keep up the good work Will! 👍💪 🏎
Thanks mate!!
Why was there a tractor on-track? Just, why? What was it doing there?
🐐
GOATifi.
The race commenters didn’t help the hype at all since all they talked about was reduce points and if they would hit 50%. The one guy said at the red flag they were all going to park on the grid??? They just suck, learn the rules if your going to commentate on the sport.
GOATIFI POINTS!
Someone wake me up. Is it over?
Max cost cappn. Wow 👌
Let's roleplay 2015 Japanese GP
Damn Will, you are reborn hard! You really had me laughing there, good tweet selection. Good review that lived up to its name. Max = Alonso as of today, that's pretty much awesome. Hamilton Russell and Mercedes are straight up twats. After the way they behaved after the race, I can't see how anyone would ever root for them again. Toto checking the FiA's math on the WDC, Hamilton refusing to give Max any credit at all, Russell dumping on his mechanics and engineers...Thank God Goatifi scored some points to distract from that mess. Checo is a fookin' Legend.
🐐🐐🐐🐐
Ferrari's strategy: Blame red bull for everything.
Mercedes: Threatens legal action against Ferrari for stealing their idea.
#BringBackMasi. Make this a thing. Or #FuckOffFreitas for the tractor incident and not knowing how to lead a F1 race
Michael Massey needs to come back
I fell asleep before the race ended. Woke up to Twitter being a nuclear wasteland...so I'm guessing something controversial happened...
When doesn’t something controversial happen…
Ferrari fans went from masterplan to masterpain
Wait max costcappen??? 😂😂

FIA be like
You have to feel bad for Max Verstappen. I will get burned at the stake for saying this, but he (and Red Bull) earned both his championship wins. It's just a shame the FIA's screwups overshadowed them.
Max doesn’t give a damn tbh he just wants to race the dude seriously just likes to drive.
When the FIA does according the book its cry all around ...when they don't its cry around...cmon last year is past ...
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Max can't seem to win the championship and have a normal celebration, e.g. no controversy or shithousery by The FIA, starting when he's crossed the finish line and is told over the radio he won the championship then carrying on from there.
I'm judging this off clips and highlights *BECAUSE* after 5 plus hours sitting in front of the TV (11:30 pm Saturday night till approx. 4:30 am Sunday morning) *MY CABLE WENT OUT with **_two laps left in the FUCKING race_*
Aah that fucking sucks my friend, nothing more frustrating when something like that happens. Race was planned to begin 07:00 local Dutch time, just in time before we head to leave for an awayday in the Dutch Eredivisie. Saw practically nothing from the race, discovered Max became champion when we were on out way home again in the bus around approx. 16:00😅
I present the most pointless comedy review ever, just put some circus music over the post race celebrations and you've perfectly summed up this weekends events
😂😂😂😂 damn the twitter F1 community is toxic 😂😂😂😂
That’s like saying water is wet 😂
Remember, lewis is not British, so stop fanning for him! Max is a winner, Hamilton= nobody!
