My phone was coming up "call voicemail" instead of what this guy said if you actually call the voicemail and listen to the options it has one to customize your voicemail answer. Hope this helps someone.

I really appreciate for your instruction how to set voice mail up. Apple hasn't included instruction as in the past anymore. It says "Greeting." Just press on it. Thanks !

so mine says “call voicemail” - i’ve never set up a voicemail to my knowledge - so when i actually call voicemail, it says this customer has a vm box that has not been set up yet.. help!

I have an iPhone 12 mini running OS15.5. If I tap the voicemail tab at the bottom right corner I don't then get a voicemail greetings screen - nothing. All it says is CALL VOICEMAIL across the center - which works fine. But I'm offered no access to Set Up Now or Custom Voicemail which is what I want and had on my old iPhone SE. I've twice tried re-starting the iPhone 12 mini.
A lot of people below seem to have exactly the same issue: can you HELP us Technomentary? I hope so! Thanks.

However, I then called my carrier (Consumer Cellular) and told them that I did not have a “set up” thing so that I could set up my voicemail. They said, “Oh…I’ve got to turn that function on on my end.” They did. I powered down and when I powered back up, I had the set up ability. I now have my voicemail set up. I hope this helps anyone who reads it! 😁
