Brilliant!! Finally there is a bridge between a 2D and a 3D world. Question, do you have plans on working with a 3d camera and object tracking companies? The ones which are making PFTrack, Boujou and things like that. I think your method and algorithm of tracking the points is far far above than we have right now in that softwares. It's just I use PFTrack and don't know a better software for tracking a 3d camera. The quality of points tracking would increase enormously with your algorithm(with computing exr, extremely accurate method).
We have no plans to collaborate, but I'd be open to anything. Yeah, we're pretty good about point tracking, but I only know the absolute basics in regards to 3D solving. I can't really make any predictions or promises for our roadmap, but we do discuss 3D solving in our meetings, not with any plans, but just out of curiosity. I appreciate your input, I hope we'll come to a decision soon as to which way we'll move with this product.
This is definitely impressive. I'm guessing that's not the "lite" version of Cinema 4D included in After Effects? If it is I can't wait to get home and try it! Otherwise.. Any chance of a Blender tutorial? I would say Maya but for some reason I've been having issues with my perpetual license since I stopped renewing my maintenance to get new versions.
It actually does work in C4D, but you need to use xpresso to attach objects, since I'm pretty sure C4D Lite doesn't have constraints or hair. Hate to say it, but I don't know Blender at all, so I can't make a tutorial on that. But I feel like our alembic should be almost identical to any other, so there must be tutorials on surface constraints already out there for pre-existing purposes.
For this one specifically, I cant because it's paid stock footage that I don't have the right to redistribute. But it should work with any clips like this!
@@ChrisVranos Thanks for your prompt reply and the useful tool! For those who are wondering, I believe Lockdown is now supporting alembic import/ export in the recent update. Thanks for the hard work from the development team.
@@scutum_ sorry it took so long, it's just crazy how this kind of work can snowball. There's always more to do, hopefully within a few weeks we'll have another big update.

Yeesss finallyyy ! thankss
I just bought Lockdown 3.0 and I don't see this option in the dropdown menu. Did this feature get removed?
No, it's just in the pop out now, under the new 3D tab. This is an old Lockdown 2 tutorial.
Could you please give avay tutorial files

Is this feature also available in Resolve version?
Sorry to say the alembic exporter is not there yet, but it will be. I think realistically it'll take 3-4 weeks.
