Chuck this is awesome information, your channel has quickly become one of our favorites. We would love to come and visit, help and pick your brain. How about it?
Just got our first Orpington layer chicks a few days ago in mail. In the bathroom tub with heat lamp on one side only, feed, grit, water, shavings Cleaned one for pasty but Ordered 10. Unfortunately we lost 5. They came in healthy thru mail. Hopefully we do not loose anymore. I noticed that the chick starter was somewhat big for them so I ground it up a bit Thank you for the information
@@mllee2008 just woke up now, gave them some mealworms…doing fantastic and will start transitioning to the outside in the coming weeks….have a coup and run area ready
Great Video Chuck! and your sound quality is excellent!!! Ive been busy lately and haven't been keeping up as much as I like, but the new mic is perfect!
My dad's going to love it
If you add apple cider vinegar to the water (about 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon) it really cuts down on the pasty butt.
Good tip. We’ve done that in the past.

So do you add anything to their water? Or just plain ol h2o?
Just plain water. Adding apple cider vinegar is a good idea.
