- Rosamond Gifford Zoo teaches their animals to paint as an enrichment activity that keeps the animals engaged and active, but they aren't forced to participate. After the masterpieces are complete, the paintings are sold to support conservation efforts.

The pink and yellow painting at 2:25 is way better than a lot of 'art' Pollock-inspired human artists make.

The painting's don't look half bad considering the fact an animal made it. They're random blotches of paint but they still look pretty cool
That’s pretty much how humans paint, but in more specific places to (re)create scenes. Elephants can do that as well. Or at least one elephant.

Have you looked at modern art paintings? Some of them look just like the paintings that were made by the animals and are sold for millions.

Slurpy DaWonder easy, just use a gentle sponge and warm water ☺️ and non toxic paint of course
How much for a painting
Mishka it depends. Depends on size of painting, complexity (sometimes it’s a custom painting and he walks in a certain pattern), glitter and embellishments, framed work. The range is usually between $15-100 and believe me, that’s not overpriced 😅

Today at the zoo I went too, all I learned is that parrots that are missing an eye and chirping are scary, unidentified birds like my feet, giraffes need to stop getting pregnant, and that the gift shops are way overpriced ($5.00 for a fake rock magnet and $7.00 for a mood necklace that doesn't work) 😐
But the necklace is cute tho, its like a little (non)color-change ball with silver elepant ears, trunk, feet, tusks, on it
