Glad you enjoyed it! It seems like from now through until maybe March is when most anglers from the Uk visit for the rays. Most of the ray fishing is done after dark so it does make sense to go when the hours of daylight are least.
Fantastic trip guys well done to all. Another masterpiece by Ben, really enjoyed the video. We were there end of Jan but nowhere near as lucky as you were. Definitely going back again soon. Tight lines all 👍🎣
Cracking videos, absolutely loved the quality filming, commentary, banter and fish. Weird as it sounds, my favourite fish of the two videos was the sierra/bonito on the float, incredible power. I understand from previous visits to the island that some of the locals get very agitated by English anglers catching the angel sharks and rays, is that still a problem please?
Thanks for the great feedback and you are not the first to say that their favourite part is the bonito capture! It was my (Ben) favourite bit of footage from the trip too 😄 we didn’t encounter any hostility from the local anglers but some definitely stopped to watch when we caught angel sharks. The best thing you can do is get that species unhooked and returned as soon as possible and make it clear that you are not targeting them. To be honest, once you have caught one and gotten over the novelty value, you won’t be excited about catching any more so they genuinely are bycatch. As far as the rays, we didn’t come up against any problems there ourselves.
Best sea angling video iv seen. Brilliantly put together. Hope you do more

What lure did he catch the barracuda on?
Hi Mike, Sam caught it on a small metal lure from the shop although we aren’t sure which one specifically
Nice one lads my turn again soon 😊
Hopefully the fish will be on the feed!
