In fact the whole English Crowd & the MCC members do not understand what the spirit of Cricket is. Accept the Umps decision, keep your mouth shut & move on. It's basically written in Black & White.
O you accepted the Aussies were playing fairly and within the spiriit of this game then suggested that a world Cup victory should have been shared??? Why???
Baz and Bairstow both have enriched history with challenging the spirit of the game. Those in glass houses. Stay in your crease, and this isnt an issue. Just sour grapes from the English fans. Maybe they familiarise themselves with some of their english teams efforts in the past.....
Exactly... James Anderson's remark on pitch justifies their attitude; only like green carpet pitches with cloud cover. You can't get the perfect bowling conditions all the time.
Everytime they go to Australia they are trashed 4 or 5 nil. They don't even try to respect the ashes and give it their all in Australia. They meekly turn up and get trashed. Australia on the other hand when they go to England give it their all and have a real go. This shows great respect for Cricket, The spirit of Cricket and the Ashes from Australia. Australia may lose in England but they are always close to winning. Compare that to England's pathetic attempts down under. Its England that disrespect the spirit and the sport of Cricket not Australia.
Carey had thrown it before Bairstow left the crease. And the inventors of "Bodyline" talking "The Spirit of the Game" is hypocrisy of the highest order.

Amazing how Bairstow has been attempting to do just that to Australian batsman ( with poor aim), and when Australia does it successfully, with better aim, the whining Poms declare it as "not in the spirit of the game", all this after ruling a genuine catch from Starc as "not out" because after catching the ball he dared to put his ball hand on the ground as he slid across the ground, then assaulting the Aussies as they left the ground. It’s just so nice to see the Brits now acting in the spirit of the game!!! Abuse. Foul mouthed attacks. Threats against players family members. Players acting like complete thugs. Crowds out of control. Yep! That’s their version of the spirit of the game.
It masks the fact Bairstow has been awful. Seriously awful in both tests. In contrast that Oz w/keeper has been brilliant and is killing them. Bairstow even tried the exact same stumping in the first innings on Labushagne, and missed. Some simple hypocrisy going on. Excellent w/keeping. England love to to bring up the small few victories they've had against Aus, ALL THE TIME. Imagine if Aus bragged as much about their wins over England as England does. Its really pathetic, and proves an inferiority complex that England cricket has toward Aus cricket.
As an Aussie I felt similarly to how I felt watching the perfectly legal underarm delivery as a kid. I know that we would complain bitterly if roles were reversed.
I personally think it’s weird for an antipodean to ever support the poms over an ANZAC. I always support the kiwis unless they are playing the aussies.
Totally agree. As an Aussie resident, born in NZ & total AB fan - Cannot undertand the comment "we love to hate Aussies". Aussies always gun for Kiwis when Aust is not playing.

McMillian is wrong about the 'first time' Overton in an t20 game caught the same catch the same way and was given out. The spirit of the game is playing in the law. Bairstow is an idiot trying to take advantage, he did not value his wicket.
It's all to easy, Carey caught the ball, Bairstow wonder out of his crease when over wasn't called, Third ump said out. So you poms have a go at the 3rd ump
Stuart Broad is an errogant and immature person. Just accept that Australia was a little better than England in the first two tests. If England continue to carry on and be a bad loser, they might lose the series 5 to nil.
There's no such thing as the spirit of cricket, it's a fallacy. Ever since WG Grace, there's been gamesmanship, cheating, and finding any way to win. That's just the nature of the game.

It's disturbing that so many Kiwis claim they "hate" Australia and that we have some great sporting rivalry. That's news to us. Most Aussies couldn't care less about Rugby and support the Kiwis (second only to Australia) when it comes to any other sporting competition.
All the spin collapses when you see the footage of Jonny Bairstow's similar stumping of Samit Patel in 2014 while playing for Yorkshire against Nottinghamshire. Jonny is exposed as a complete hypocrite.

@@woopimagpieCollywobbles not Collingwood, collywobbles is when they lose the GF twice to Brisbane
@@stuartcorlett5959 Sorry, I have no affinity with Collingwood whatsoever. I'm not even in the same state. 8 years in WIRES and a lot of experience with corvids and similar has led me to being a fan of the bird.
My handle is a combination of the nickname of the town where I live and my own nickname. I don't even follow any football codes except maybe the Rugby occasionally.
@@woopimagpie Apologies, thought you were a AFL Magpie fan.
Spirit of cricket doesn't actually say anything on this matter. What it does say is that the umpires decision must be respected. On that England have failed, so it is they, not Australia who have not played in the spirit of cricket.
Stokes: 'It was out but I'm gonna call the Aussies cheats anyway.' Encouraging crowd abuse against a visiting team = disgraceful and unsportsmanlike
That Carey underarm was as good as Trevor Chappell's.
It was better mate. It was against England and not you kiwis, and it got a wicket.
Winner winner, chicken dinner. 😂
It was brilliant because it did what Bairstow tried himself in both tests
You Kiwis still whinging about that? That was 43 years ago. Get over it. I agree it was a disgraceful act but most fans today weren't even born yet

Honestly bazball mode of cricket may work against teams who aren't as good as them and in their own home conditions. But against the best team in the world...... No chance
had carey not taken the ball cleanly and it had slipped away from him some distance
i would imagine stokes would have called for a quick single
and rightly so
not a dead ball
They don't get called whinging poms for nothing!
Broad is a cheat hitting to firts slip and not walking
Actually this whole JB runout incident is blow out of proportion to hide the Englands weakness ala to blame Australia and downplay their superiority in both matches concluded. English have been outplayed in key moments and they can't accept that so trying to create a cheap image. Fact is Eng is long way away from winning Ashes for sometime now, Aus challenge them and beat them at home easily and when they tour UK they have played well.
Looks wintery and chilly where Mike Hesson is standing.
England love to to bring up the small few victories they've had against Aus, ALL THE TIME. Imagine if Aus bragged as much about their wins over England as England does. Its really pathetic, and proves an inferiority complex that England cricket has toward Aus cricket.
WI need a revamp. Not easy. Salutes to legends of the game, from Sir Clive to Sir Viv...😊❤
It's a sad day for cricket when the WI doesn't play in a world cup. Even more sad is I don't think they'll get back to their former glory ever
As an Aussie I felt similarly to how I felt watching the perfectly legal underarm delivery as a kid. I know that we would complain bitterly if roles were reversed.
So the English propose outlawing stumpings that are not executed by the keeper right up at the stumps. This is ridiculous it was a standard stumping.
@@scarmody9200 that was the comment that struck me as odd. I mean it’s all in jest. It’s sport. But I always support our neighbours. Similar with the AFL. I support the Adelaide Crows. But will always support Port Adelaide Power against anyone else.
@@zatgeye7320it's all jealousy
Same. If it's not Australia playing, we always support the Kiwis - especially against the English. We have a shared history as Antipodean cannon fodder.
Hesson is kidding himself saying that England will be able to get after Todd Murphy
they might get away with some shots....but Murph is a more aggressive/consistent spinner than Lyon
McMillian is wrong about the 'first time' Overton in an t20 game caught the same catch the same way and was given out. The spirit of the game is playing in the law. Bairstow is an idiot trying to take advantage, he did not value his wicket.
Stokes' was a mighty innings. But leadership is not about always being the hero...true leadership is unleashing the hero is others
Bairstow was just one wicket, there were nine others. What happened with the other batsmen, other than Stokes? England just weren’t good enough.
Bowling short pitch deliveries at Lyon on one leg?
Spirit of the game stuff🤷♂️
I am honestly more confused at the fact that NZs say they love to hate Australia and yet are happy to use our slang 🤔🤔🤔
Stuart Broad, the biggest hypocrite in world cricket
Macca makes many great points here...especially about pressure!
Nobody should listen to Broad, he nicked the biggest slip catch and didn't walk.
There's no such thing as the spirit of cricket, it's a fallacy. Ever since WG Grace, there's been gamesmanship, cheating, and finding any way to win. That's just the nature of the game.
As an Aussie I still think that underarm ball was a disgrace. Definitely against any spirit of the game if it exists
SHOCK: New Zealander takes ridiculous position because it means England are wrong. Brilliant.
This remind me of 2019 World Cup when the journo said before the semi that every All Blacks player was better than his English counterpart.
Make that Starc.
Why are you kiwis hoping England beats Australia??
And also the lady saying New Zealand loves to hate Australia..we are the Anzacs's and neighbours.. when the kiwis played england in the one day world cup final a couple of years ago , every aussie to a man was death riding the poms...in both rugby codes or any sport really, im certain most Aussies would always support the kiwis over the poms..I no I certainly would...i no the pommy coach is a kiwi maybe that's got something to do with it.. do all kiwis love to hate Australia in sport and in general??
I'm not sure why they hate us so much. We certainly don't hate NZ in the same way. Little brother syndrome perhaps.
Little brother syndrome ....
It's disturbing that so many Kiwis claim they "hate" Australia and that we have some great sporting rivalry. That's news to us. Most Aussies couldn't care less about Rugby and support the Kiwis (second only to Australia) when it comes to any other sporting competition.
Why do losers always talk about the “spirit of the game” ?
Stop smoking the weed
So all Aussies and British are losers?
@@bretthannan200 what a silly comment ! I’m never going to stop 😂
Think they need to change the Urn to a big Dummy if the English win.
South Africans ALWAYS follow the Spirits at the Games, Castle Corner and many other Spirits are an important part of the supporters game😂
All the spin collapses when you see the footage of Jonny Bairstow's similar stumping of Samit Patel in 2014 while playing for Yorkshire against Nottinghamshire. Jonny is exposed as a complete hypocrite.
Try to be fair and focus on the spirit of game to help England win at least one game in this series. Our Lord Jesus always put more emphasis on empathy and love; it is time for all of us now to show some kindness and love for the weak ones.
Neither was body line then.
Start completed catch at around knee height. He then sought to brace himself, and it was natural to do this palms down. This fingers under the ball business is all about catches taken at turf-top level. Not relevant in this case.
I'm wondering if you join the MCC do they give you a list of rules as a member your suppose to abide by and if so is one of the rules a behavioral standards expected of all members when interacting with players from both teams e.g. treat all players with respect & courtesy when inside the members pavilion
So i guess england think using sweets, vaseline and dirt to alter the ball is within the spirit of the game do they?? People in glass houses...
Professional highly paid sportspeople are not paid to play within the spirit of the game, they are paid to play and win the game within the RULES and also push the rules to the limits. It is naïve to think that any professional player will put their position and income into jeopardy for some sort of airy nicety that the losers refer to as "the spirit of the game" . As for the Kiwi bloke supporting England,, suffer in your Bazball jocks .
No issues here. Well played Australia. The end.

Bowl, run me out, catch me ,or lbw me out , give me out if I hit my wicket, but don't run me out if I'm not going for run or hit ball mis and fall over. I hope the same thing happens in future to the same Aussies and hear how they will cry.
Ahhh your age old stereotype ....Winjin' Poms....school boy error from Baristow and sharp piece of skill from Alex Carey..A bit rich coming from Baz with regards to the wicket
regarding catch icc should make it clear once your hand touches ground with ball. in your hand not out.period.
I always go back to how Stroke has stolen 4 runs
Anderson is just too old. Fast bowlers retire well before 40 for a reason.
Australia won, get on with it and stop whimpering. Personally, I like the Aussie approach. Spirit of the game, laughable. It’s all about winning!
I saw the headline and thought why would you believe that.. then I checked the channel name and knew why.. Aussie's lil brother
Are you kidding me? Kiwi's hate Australia mate. You couldn't get a more hostile place for Australian sport other than England.
They are laws...not rules.
I m amazed that you even support England after they cheated you out of the World Cup. I always have supported NZ as my second team against everyone but Oz we two little countries battl
Look, it's within the rules, so just take it and then honestly admit you don't really care how you win as long as you win.
the West Indies will struggle as they don't have the money to pay their best players...their best players have become T20 wanderers, as they will earn more money from the IPL, BBL or other tournaments
A Kiwi supporting England. Never ever thought that would be the case. Whenever it's not Australia playing the Poms but the Kiwi's in any sport, we support you guys 100%. Against SAfrica, Kiwi's 100%. Never ever want to see the Poms win anything, SAfrica anything, as on the homefront NSW in any sport.
