But considering how much stronger the Indian team was over any other team in the cup, they really did blow it. Was theirs for the taking even before the tournament began. Every single test team in this cup, except South Africa, was weaker than they were 4 years ago. Unfortunate, and these things happen, but it just shows how you have to keep your head to get the job done… Pakistan in 99, India in 2003, South Africa in 2007 (semifinals), NZL in 2015, each of them buckled and didn’t even put up a fight. In the 2019 semis, England stuck to their game plan and strengths and thrashed Australia.

India just didn’t apply their mind as much as Australia did. Siraj opened the bowling all along and in the final Rohit was trying to save him a bashing when he is a frontline bowler. Selection of Surya with little to no batting practice again was a poor choice. Not to mention keeping Ashwin out instead of Siraj or Surya on such a wicket. Being an Indian, I feel something fishy about BCCI. BCCI tried and succeeded in capitalising on the popularity of players. Even 9 years old, before the start of the WC , can firmly say Australia, England RSA and NZ would be in Semi Finals and Final. The overconfident India never thought of a strategy to contain the opponents. There's no great in winning 9/9 when 4 teams were good for nothing 😂😂😂😂😂 Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Pakistan as well as England were out of the tournament in the middle of the tournament. Lack preparation and research for the knockouts failed India. India played on favourable and suitable pitches for their strength but overconfidence and tactics backfired. It lost by its own advantages.

All kiwi's can be rightly proud of their 2023 WCup. Plus, that cracking game NZ v Aust in Dharamsala was the highlight game for me. It was ON as a contest from the very first ball. They are showing the importance of getting the Test team right...they won that T20 WCup with their test match team, and 10 out of 11 of this mob was their test team. No need to get cute with the personnel...just play and back the best players and concentrate on using test cricket to get it right and it will carry across all formats. Tried and tested formula. The pitch doctoring for a world cup against ICC orders was a disgrace. Both the Semi and the Final were obvious setups where the ICC seemed to have no authority.

I'm Australian, and all I can say is 'thank you Indian selectors' for not picking Ashwin in WTC or CWC finals. He always plays well against Australia, and personally he was my most feared player. You can have your Rohit's or Kohli's or Jadejas etc, Australia doesn't fear any of them. But Ashwin has Australia's measure, I'm amazed he wasn't selected.
Pitch was a big factor. The curator made such a pitch where no spinner could do anything because the ball was skitting but not gripping. And umpairing was also an issue because they have right to do what they want. Perhaps 3 Rd umpair should be awakened on the final. One batsman may failure but a bunch of batsman could not fail, this is because of the curator who made the pitch so slow. Don't know When Team India will win World cup perhaps when I will be old agad (now 46 but perhaps when I will be 86 😀 or may be died) . Any ways not a single match(Final) can judge Team India's performance. Indian Cricket team is the best in 2023. But if the tournament may organised in the other Country, perhaps India could perform more than now. Any ways, we should cheer up Team India and they deserve of that winning 10 out of 10. May be next time but the press conference should be nil before the final match is occured, because it presurise the players attitude mentally. Being an Indian, I feel something fishy about BCCI. BCCI tried and succeeded in capitalising on the popularity of players. Even 9 years old, before the start of the WC , can firmly say Australia, England RSA and NZ would be in Semi Finals and Final. The overconfident India never thought of a strategy to contain the opponents. There's no great in winning 9/9 when 4 teams were good for nothing 😂😂😂😂😂 Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Pakistan as well as England were out of the tournament in the middle of the tournament. Lack preparation and research for the knockouts failed India. India played on favourable and suitable pitches for their strength but overconfidence and tactics backfired. It lost by its own advantages.

They are showing the importance of getting the Test team right...they won that T20 WCup with their test match team, and 10 out of 11 of this mob was their test team. No need to get cute with the personnel...just play and back the best players and concentrate on using test cricket to get it right and it will carry across all formats. Tried and tested formula.

I'm Australian, and all I can say is 'thank you Indian selectors' for not picking Ashwin in WTC or CWC finals. He always plays well against Australia, and personally he was my most feared player. You can have your Rohit's or Kohli's or Jadejas etc, Australia doesn't fear any of them. But Ashwin has Australia's measure, I'm amazed he wasn't selected.

Pitch was a big factor. The curator made such a pitch where no spinner could do anything because the ball was skitting but not gripping. And umpairing was also an issue because they have right to do what they want. Perhaps 3 Rd umpair should be awakened on the final. One batsman may failure but a bunch of batsman could not fail, this is because of the curator who made the pitch so slow. Don't know When Team India will win World cup perhaps when I will be old agad (now 46 but perhaps when I will be 86 😀 or may be died) . Any ways not a single match(Final) can judge Team India's performance. Indian Cricket team is the best in 2023. But if the tournament may organised in the other Country, perhaps India could perform more than now. Any ways, we should cheer up Team India and they deserve of that winning 10 out of 10. May be next time but the press conference should be nil before the final match is occured, because it presurise the players attitude mentally. Best wishes from my end to Team India, because they played fantastic ly throuout the Tournament 🙏

To beat Maradona you have to beat him in his speed, stamina and fitness . So is with Bolt, Micheal Jordon, Micheal Phleps, Nadal, Federer etc. It's neck to neck fight in all these parameters. Cricket is a convenience and reflection of an attitude for India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh etc. If infrastructure and money are seen for any games popularity, than why people from India , Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh etc settled in England, US and Europe don't play soccer, basketball, track and field tennis, rugby and other games, which are popular there. There also, people from India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh etc settled from generation play cricket only. Cricket mad nations cannot be sporting nations. Cannot find champs in games like soccer, basketball, track and field etc try to search champs in a lazy game cricket. You talk of Micheal Jordon, Indian will bring Tendulkar and Kohli.
