This band IS SO BRUTAL!!!!! This was definitely not what I was expecting. They are so heavy and just so..... UNIQUE. I just- I dont know what to say about this band. They're very amazing. AND THAT BRIDGE!!!!! Sent chills up my spine. They are so talented in every way possible and I love it

Nemophila is a band formed in 2019, but actually each of their members is from a different band, All the members are excellent musicians， And they are diverse, they not limited to one style of music, you can hear different things in every song of them.

Been waiting for this and did not disappoint. Brilliant reaction. Lovebites and Nemophila are totally different beasts.Love them both but I love Nemophila a tiny bit more.
I absolutely love Nemophila more but it's not because of skill as both bands are loaded. I like Nemophila's sound more, that being said both bands are very much in my listening rotations.

The singing is Japanese, but not particularly anime.
Although this group only started in 2019, there's a ton of experience between the members.
Lead singer Mayu was in Lipstick.
Hazuki (guitar) was in Disqualia, and is still currently with the Li-sa-X BAND.
Saki (guitar) was in Mary's Blood (on hiatus?) and is in Amahiru with Frédéric Leclercq. (former bassist for DragonForce).
Mary's Blood are on hiatus since april 2022.
Yes! These girls are a little heavier then Lovebites! I had this band in my (first) no headbang challenge (with Dissension) so that's probably where you heard them from!

Glad to see you’re going down the Japanese rock/metal rabbit hole, you can’t go wrong with any of the bands: Nemophila, Bridear, Lovebites, Gacharic Spin, Hanabie, Hagane, Band Maid and many more. I’d like to see you react to Gacharic Spin “I Wish I” or “Mindset “ and Bridear “Brave New World Revisited “ or anything from Hanabie.

Love your genuine reaction. Yes, you're right, Tamu (drums) only wear those platform boots for the MV, she usually drums with normal flat shoes (and damn she drums so fine and heavy! Would you believe she's also the mother of two adorable little girls?). Nemophila is definitly the japanese band to follow presently (untill Band-Maid release their EP in september and Lovebites wake up from their hiatus - both their singer and guitarist are mother too btw - with a new bassist). Yeah, we can agree Nemophila and Lovebites are the best Japanese Metal has to offer today. They are rather different styles though, so we can appreciate them both.

Yes! they are that good! 7strings. both guitarrists. I´m glad, you noticed their magnificient drummer tamu. one of japans most sought after session drummers and drum teacher. big fan here. guitarrist saki "killer" was in "Destrose" and "Mary´s Blood". they all are excellent musicians. next one "dissension MV" and "Raitei MV". and they have done a lot of great cover versions too (my first recommendation here would be "Kurenai"). great reaction guys, as always. thank you.

A japanese singer that does not drown herself in tremolos!!! I approve. :o)
Check out Band-Maid. Primary singer Saiki is one of the most natural sounding Japanese singers, in both alto and soprano registers.
The overdone amplitude of the lead singers' vibrato/tremolo has been a limiting factor against my appreciation of several otherwise good bands, Mary's Blood and much of Lovebites' work among them. However, I have recently heard some live tunes by Lovebites and Asami seemed much more temperate with that. I'm guessing she got the message from someone.

That said, I have so many questions:
* Why is the windmill full of corpses? Also why is it full OV corpses?
* Are the corpses just there, or is the windmill processing them somehow?
* Just who are these poor dead people anyway?
* Did Andrei and George kill them? They seem guilty as hell! What did you two do...

It's The Windmill Full of Corpses because of a card in Cards Against Humanity, it's a funny offensive game I used to play with my friends and whenever that card came up they told me it's so metal and it would work as a band's name. Then it hit me that, although I'm not starting a band, I'm starting this channel, so I chose this name! And it's OV because of many metal bands (mainly surrounding the black metal area) who use this spelling (See "Ov Fire and the Void" and "Ov My Herculean Exile" from Behemoth or "King ov Fire" from Mental Cruelty). The OV became a running joke to us.
As for all the other questions, feel free to let your imagination run loose, but the explanation we prefer is that those doomed metalhead's souls who cannot go to hell nor heaven, find their solace in our Windmill, where all the undead can party eternally. Think of it as a cheerfully macabre purgatory... I swear I just made this all up RIGHT NOW!

Nemophila is fantastically awesome. I've been a fan for a few years now. Seriously...one of my fave bands in the world. But there is just one thing you can't do. That is........compare anyone to LOVEBITES. Because there is NO comparison! No one is on Lovebites level. No one. You guys are great. P.S. Scardust is my 2nd fave band. Now....you need to hear Unlucky Morpheus ( if you haven't). Cheers! 🤘

NEMOPHILA are my favorite Metal band. But they play a wide variety of styles, so you need to watch all of their videos. Start with the demo version of OIRAN, with the video recorded in their studio. (not the live version). Then work your way chronologically through their video releases. They’ve also made dozens of wonderful covers of songs by Japanese and Western bands. (The Japanese songs are more interesting.)
The ladies are, from left to right: HAZUKI (Gt.), HARAGUCHI-SAN (Ba.), MAYU (Vo.), MURATA TAMU (Dr.), SAKI [A.K.A., Chucky] (Gt.)
They all have professional experience prior to NEMOPHILA. HAZUKI is active with the LISA-X BAND. MURATA has an endorsement deal with Tama drums. SAKI is still playing with MARY’S BLOOD (another all-female Metal band).
NEMOPHILA can take you down a deep rabbit hole, indeed.
