Thanks for this video. I have not found any video so far which talks about the LTCG for property bought on installments and interest paid with installment. I guess the calculations would differ for such cases.

I have a query that what if the property is 50 years old ? How to calculate it's indexed value of acquisition ? Because if we calculate it's indexation value with reference to CII of 2001-02, then it would be quite less.
You have no other option, you have to find the FMV of property as on 01.04.2001 & then indexation will apply

Year of acquisition is the year the property was transferred to your name. Number of installments has no bearing on cost of acquiring a property. The total amount paid by you, including cost of registration etc determines cost of acquisition.

If I have a commercial property(plot+structure) acquired via Gift deed and I decide to sell it after 24month period, what is the Capital Gains tax applicable. Originally property was purchased by my family in 1997. Will indexation apply for exemption?

Also, I understand that in Delhi, the cost of acquisition has to be calculated as per the circle rate on 1/4/2001 even if the property was purchased much before 2001; the actual purchase price cannot be used.
If this info is correct then how will the cost on acquisition as on 1/4/2001 be calculated?
What is the formula for this calculation?
