Joe! Thanks man, coming from you that means a lot. I've wanted to contact you and see if we can get together for some joint videos? Thanks for watching my friend!
Great video! I recently did four days of training with my new MK5 5-25 and it was outstanding to the point of my choosing to standardize with the MK5 across multiple platforms. The parallax being true to yardage was a hoot for me as the scopes I have traditionally owned had hash marks or shapes vice numerical yard markings on the knob. Having the yard markers be true simplified my pre-shot process.
Hi Phil! I hate to say it, because I'm a Vortex guy, but, that glass is unreal. I may switch as well, now that I'm over the whole reticle thing. How is the parallax on the mark 5HD? Is it a "set it and forget it" like my Razor Gen III or ZCO or do you have to adjust every 100 - 200 yards of difference? Thanks for watching another one my friend!
@ The parallax dial numbers were true to the range of the target. While I cannot provide specific data, I do remember that I forgot to adjust my parallax several times over the four days and it made no difference accuracy-wise.
Hi Beaver! Yeah, I had the "merch" so I thought I'd go all in with it! I'd love it if they would pay my in, say, a Mark 5HD? 😁 Thanks for watching another one my friend!
Great video and love to see the scope matrix table back! How’s the field of view/black ring around the image? I found the black ring a bit too large in the mk5
Hi Robby! Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I missed the matrix too😁 I didn't notice the black ring, but plan on looking through a buddies mk5 tomorrow and will focus on that to make sure. Thanks for watching another one my friend!
Hi lemarcwhetstone6354! I wasn't kidding when I said in the video that the glass on this 52mm objective was better than everything else in my matrix, and I've been able to view at distance through all of them at one time or another. I've gone through so many scopes in the past, but honestly, unless I ever go back to the ZCO level of scope, I'll go with the Leupold because of that glass and now (me eating crow), that reticle. I get nothing for saying any of this, so I'm just being honest with you. Thanks for watching my friend! 27 minutes ago
Where did you get the markable turret? I picked one of these up as I don’t have a large budget for scopes, but read how bang for buck this is in the 1-2k range. Impressed so far and don’t feel I’m missing out on much compared to those top tier scopes.
It's turret tape from www.idts-dryfire.com, I JUST did a video on it that will be released Friday...It is well worth the money and he makes them for a bunch of scopes. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi Takashi! I hate to say it, being a Vortex guy, but this glass in this scope is awesome for my eyes. I'm going to get a view through one of Rich's Mark 5's and see how that scope is, then, you know me, I may be switching! Thanks for watching my friend!
Providing the matrix is a nice touch. Separates you from the crowd. Enjoyed the review with the exception of the Leupold reticle. Never liked any reticle from them. Dot is too small and there is too much empty space around it. Too easy to lose the dot in the target.
Hi Indyvin! Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. If you watch some of my other videos, I don't give this reticle good grades, and I don't know what changed in the past year or so, maybe my eyes, but man, I really like it now. I was running that scope at about 16x and even though I said that's what I like to run it at in the video, the reality is that I'm trying to run at 20x in competition, which really brings in that center dot a bit more. BUT, like I say, you have to like what YOU like and what works for you. I've been a ZCO and Gen III guy for a long time and not many scopes impress me like this one did. I'm going to try to do a Mark 5HD video soon. Hey, thanks for watching my friend!
Did you have any issues with the turret marks not lining up? I had an 8-32 and the turret marks would fall right in between to where you weren’t sure what elevation you were on. Also on the 8-32 for some reason only has 20 MILs of adjustment. Not a huge ordeal for match use but I wanted to take my rifle out to a mile with it and want even going to be close to the elevation I needed
I did initially, but I cleaned out that turret and the grooves the pin rides in and it aligned properly. If yours doesn't line up, I'd send it in. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi 12longbow! It's from (idts-dryfire.com/product/ballistic-tape/) and I get a LOT of questions on that one, so I'll do a video on it here very shortly. Thanks for watching my friend!
Great Video Man

Nice breakdown and review.
Thanks Steven and thanks as usual for watching another one and being a faithful follower!
Great video as always 👍. Leupold should be paying you!! I mean Leupold hat Leupold shirt and a Leupold review 🤣🤣

Both of my Mark 3HD's have plastic windage knobs! Good review!
Hi Peter! Yeah, I think the Mark 4's get into the more 'solid' build and use the metal parts. I love that glass though! Thanks for watching my friend!

@@The4GunGuy I will have to give the Mark 4 a closer look. It's hard to argue with someone who lists ZCO and Gen III as references.
