I was very lucky -- saw Fugazi live 4 times in the UK between 89-95. Best gigs I've ever been too, and the music, the attitude, the philosophy, the values have been a huge influence and constant company throughout my life. Brendan Canty was such an amazing drummer -- and you could see how every member of the band was such an essential part of a unique sound. Never seen a band so tight. Thanks for sharing this and great to see the legend is doing well!
Having been born and raised in DC and spending my younger years going to every Fugazi show in the city and meeting Brendan for the first time at 16, I can say he’s genuinely a great guy. Fugazi was always supportive of younger local musicians like myself and showing us the real way to do it. Thanks for posting this interview.
Thank you very much, Dennis, for great conversation. I appreciate your amazing work. Every episode of your show is celebration. Thank you for doing this. And of course, I'm big fan of your music
I really liked the "Burn to Shine" video series that Canty did (Produced) in the 2000's. I think I have 4 or more of the DVDs, and now many are on UA-cam.
Grew up outside of DC in the late 80s and through the 90s. So grateful to witness the entire Discord scene at its height. Great interview. But. The interviewer interrupts too much. Dennis is a hard ass rocker- conducting interviews is not his main job so it’s fine. Seeing the Messthetics in DC in March. So excited.

Huge humbleness for a guy that definitely was the decisive person that made me get behind a drum set at my 24 years... Big hugs from Spain 💜💜

Again, thank you very much for another amazing episode with great stories and even some laughs, I‘m loving it 👊
Another splendid show Dennis.
Between showing off your collection & these interviews, this channel has been some of my favorite stuff on UA-cam

Dennis:You made it really difficult for all of us!
Brendan: Sorry...
lol!
Great episode, Dennis.
One of my favorite drummers talking about some of my other favorites drummers is a real treat.
