I'm 65 too and play Priest alot. Saw them live for the first time at Tons of Rock last summer and it was great. Suprisely they will start their next tour at Hamar, Norway this summer were I live nearby 🎸 😀

A brave fella stepping in to KK's mega-ton (knee high) boots but he is just brilliant. Great player, great showman, great communicator with the crowd. More so than KK was, actually. Passionate and committed, loves the material he's playing. He has won me over! Love the guy. 2. If you have ever experienced an opera by one of the classical composers you will know how insane the narratives to their stories quite often were. This is no fucking different. We get taken somewhere else where a load of super dramatic stuff is happening. It's weird and wonderful and it take us out of ourselves. And Rob H delivers a lot of this song with operatic phrasing which I thought was superb. 3. After Halford 'came out', how many LGBTQA+ people felt comfortable enough to get in to hard rock and metal? Many, many, many. Which is fantastic - rock music is meant to liberate ALL of us! Fucking right! 4. All of us viewing/listening to this here love Priest. I once turned down full intercourse with a beautiful girl (on a summer's evening in 1978 around the back of a youth club) just so I could go and jump about to Delivering The Goods. Yeah, he's always been nearly note perfect live and this has got to be hard for him. Being a lifelong fan (since 79 or so, when I was about 9 years old) and a guitarist myself, I can't even imagine. Even so, got to give him credit for getting up there anyway, the fans understand and just want to see and hear him burn one more time.
Right? It's so apparent in the intro to this song. They've already replaced him for touring, he now just does studio work. As an aging bass player, I can confirm it's quite distressing and sad. It really sucks when you can't do what you love anymore. Even typing is getting difficult.

I saw Priest on the British Steel tour in Portland, OR., in June (after Mt. St. Helens blew) and that was my first time. Traveled from Southern Idaho by bus during the summer before my senior year in HS. Kicked ass of course! Then saw them in 1983 at the US Festival and rode on a Honda Shadow from Southern Idaho...that was one of the best BIG shows that I have seen. Joined the military and was able to see shows in all the countries that I was stationed over a 21 year career. Long Live Metal 🤘🤘🤘
