Thanks again for the opportunity to sightsee. I'm usually focused on the road and traffic and don't have the ability to look around. Also thanks for not bypassing Andermatt and driving through the town - it's been my base of choice for the past 20-ish years for a few days at a time. Lots of changes over the years. I will admit to a bit of disappointment that you didn't take the Tremola road down to Airolo. It's a bit of living history that is my preferred route over the St. Gotthard. As a side note, there's a nice small museum at the top that deserves a visit.

Those temporary lights at2:30seemed rather unnecessary. There was a roadwork site just after the bridge, but they weren't doing anything and were well out of the way of the road
sometime, drive through Hospental.... stop at the church and the roman tower... good content... Always room at the St Gotthard Hotel in Hospental... Bennet family..
@@SigisTravelVideos my first visit to Hospental, 1973, the actual main road went thru Hospental. I remember sitting outside on a Friday and watching major traffic coming from Italy snaking thru the village. likewise, those headed to Italy going the other way. The bypass around Hospental. really hurt their business, then the tunnel did further damage,,, then the military left, and really hurt the valley's economy. Now with the new growth, I hope the valley will prosper... and it is such a wonderful area.. but all travel vids, headed to the Fulka or Gotthard passes, NEVER go thru Hospental.... but as a visitor, who comes there bi-annually since 1973, I sort of am glad the crowds bypass but also wish someone would highlight this wonderful village.. it is truly the Swiss Alps... (so is Andermatt, or Realp) but Realp is always seen on travel vids, because you need to pass thru to get to the Fulka... and then there is the Bond movie... in Hospental, there is roman tower... the old bridge right by the Gasthas St Gotthard (where I stay) and the church, which is amazing to see... please consider besides the driving (which I enjoy) but investigate these small villages which have very interesting history's to show..
sad to see the Swiss Greenies have added wind turbines as you get closer to Gotthard Pass... sort of ruins the natural beauty of the Swiss Alps...(my opinion)

It did get a bit late in the day to drive down the Tremola, but hopefully the next time.
