- Here's the first "big" mod to my brand new 2019 Ford Ranger and it's introduction to UA-cam! I ordered an OEM Ford Ranger Raptor grille from overseas and got at it... No Ranger Raptor in the States? Fine, I'll make my own! :)

Looks great dude. I took my grill on my wrangler and sprayed it with Rustoleum bed liner spray...looks amazing. That grill looks like it would look even better with a few coats of spray!

I also want to install this grill. Apparently the Thai ones are the same part number as the Aussie genuine ford grill. I was told from Aussie dealer that it definitely will not fit as the mounting points are different. Anyone know if the Aussie and USA models are the same? I am in Australia.

The Raptors versions are suppose to come along with the Ford Everest, the Ford Everest Raptor will be something interesting. The rumor is 2020 time frame For the Everest raptor. Im out of the country with my wife, we just bought a 2020 Ford Everest 4x4 titanium. This thing is awesome, I mean it really impressed me with what it could do.

Why did you put blue tape on the corners? So it wouldn't scratch it? You had to trim the corner off was that just to modify it to make it fit? Nice truck! 👍
Hey Jim! Yeah the blue tape was used along with some thin but durable hard plastic under it to protect the valence as the grille was being installed. I did have to trim away some of the lower corners of the grille to make it fit and it was still very tight. Thanks!

I had to do the same thing with my 2019 ford everest. Clearanced it but still doesnt fit perfect. It was a pain in the ass but it looks so much better 🤘👍

Good eye! Yep, they're for the Ranger and they're LT285/70R17. It's the same size and tire that's on the Ranger Raptor.

@@samuelparent8548 will do, I'll definitely be posting a vid when the wheels/tires go on. Still waiting on BDS/Fox to get their lift kit out though, so the tires have a better chance at fitting.

Does the Ranger feel high enough? Does it feel like it needs a few more inches of ground clearance? Any complaints with the Ranger? I’m waiting for the price to come down. They’re over priced right now.
Its pretty high as-is, but I will definitely be lifting it once the kit I'm waiting on is available. Not too drastic, 3-3.5" lift is all it needs. That and some 33's and you're good to go!

Hi, thanks for video, i read it to remove a 2021 front end, new addition, there are 2 torx bolts at bottom of front grille, in both inner front corners, ford engineers have a sense of humour lol
Are all of the ranger grills interchangeable ?
Between the North American trims, yes. This grille and most other "rest of the world" Rangers could fit with some modification (like I had to do).

Thanks! Yep, this was an order off of eBay straight from Thailand. It is however a genuine Ford Part for the Thai Ranger Raptor.

Lol, yeah I don't expect them to last long... I've already received a couple messages asking for the link to the seller :D I love Oxford White! It was a toss up for me though, between Oxford White and Lightning Blue, in the end I'm very happy I went with white. AND it matches my RS! I am about to do mine, just got the grille. Why cut with the dremel? Problems fitting inside?
The reason I cut mine, was because it is an oem grille made for the overseas Rangers and doesn't quite fit right. Since this video was made, a new grille has popped up on eBay that is a direct bolt on with no need to cut or trim.

Unfortunately we don't get the Wildtrak in the States so I couldn't tell you.
Looks like a pain in the ass. I build ford engines for the f250 and up and install bumpers sometimes. Luckily we have tools to make it easier. Idk if I could do this with a finished truck haha but I want a 2021 ranger when they release and want to do this to the grille. Might just try it anyway
The grille I put on initially was an OEM Ranger Raptor grille from Thailand, and it didn't really fit quite right so that's why I had to mod it a little. The aftermarket has since come out with one that just slots right in and fits perfectly.

It absolutely does! I have zero complaints about the truck. I'd recommend finding a dealer that has them on the lot, give it a good once over and test drive it if you can - I ordered it sight unseen and without test driving it. With that being said, it was the right choice!

I am guessing you cut the grill because it doesn't fit the lariat headlights?
Hey! I had to trim the lower portion of this grill because it didn't clear the lower valance underneath the headlights. Since I installed this though, an aftermarket version has been released that just clips right in without any modification.

Is this the $270 one on eBay by auto elegance?
The one in this video is actually an OEM Ford part from Thailand, but I have since actually replaced it with the auto-elegance part due to a better fit. It fills the gap around the edges better than the OEM Raptor grille.

Unfortunately no, I had to order mine from an eBay seller in Thailand because the Raptor doesn't exist in North America.
