Fake trades (and a guaranteed top pick) is the best christmas gift a raptors fan can ask for! Happy holidays, thankful for all your hard work on these videos.
Jakob trade -- do you think the magic use their assets to upgrade the centre position? Heartbreaking to see what happened with both Wagner bros, but wouldn't they just want someone to help play bench spurts until Mo comes back next year? Between Goga and WCJ, I'm not sure they feel enough pressure to make a move this year. Kelly trade -- yeah this makes sense, the only argument against it is if the raptors want to use their cap space better. Bobby in interviews has mentioned he really wants to use our cap space to take advantage of teams dealing with the second apron. Boucher trade -- SPICY I LOVE IT. the nnaji contract is truly horrendous, and I didn't know denver even had a pick to trade, but honestly... i think i'd do it. ps: i think my personal favourite landing spot for jakob is the grizzlies. i think he can play that steven adams role but better and they could really use his screens and rim protection to let JJJ roam around. plus its an excuse to bring edey back home!
There’s no urgency for them to upgrade at C, but there’s no doubt he’d be a good fit there. I’m not a huge fan of Goga or WCJ. Glad you like the other deals though. As for the Grizz, I’d love Edey. Do you think they’d do that though? I figure they’d just keep developing, but maybe they want to take the next step now. Thanks for another great comment!
@@RaptorsReport Honestly, I see Poeltl as the type of talent Edey can become. So if you're memphis, and I imagine they want to take the next step faster than Orlando, I see the value. Especially because they have so many amazing guys on good deals, some dudes like Jake LaRavia for example aren't getting enough time. Feels like a good multiple pieces for one kinda deal! The main storyline this season to me has shifted (because of injuries) from "Does BBQ work as a concept?" to "How can we develop as many players as possible?" and get back to our bench mob days. I'm SO proud of the growth I've seen from the kansas boys, as well as seeing genuine value from Mogbo, Walter (loved hearing your take on his burst/first step btw), and Shead. We have actual players again and I think that helps raise the floor of our lineups so much, especially as Scottie is someone that likes to empower others. With this new goal in mind, I'm honestly here for taking stabs at other promising players like LaRavia and Edey and getting a top pick.
They don’t have any seconds I don’t think. They really only have that late first. I don’t even know if I’d do it without the FRP to be honest, Nnaji’s contract blows.
I’d keep Kelly over Jakob and only because, when healthy, being able to stretch the floor really helps and Jakob really maximized his trade value. Boucher trade is a toss up - I feel like either Masai will pull some McDaniels level move OR we will boo him hard 😅
Imagine Boucher & Russ on the floor at the same time, I would love to see the feast or famine results for the Nuggets! It would be quite the roller coaster but definitely entertaining nonetheless.
I hear you on the Jakob trades being hard to execute. I don't think the Magic trade is good enough. I do think at this point, team should prioritize further out picks than closer ones. I also dont like the Nnaji contract because of how long it is. I would have liked to see trade ideas for Davion Mitchell and Bruce Brown as well.
Yeah, Bruce and Davion are also good ones. It might benefit the Raptors if they were able to bundle a few of the vets together. IRT the Boucher/Nnaji deal, Boucher’s value is likely much less than a first rounder. Nnaji has a pretty gross contract, but a lot of things could happen between now and 2031 which could make that pick pretty attractive. Thanks for the comment!
No offense but these are the worse trades, ever. Toronto lack bigs so we trade all three of them and load up on talent that the trade partners do not want. lol. Thanks for ruining Christmas.
Well, the deals are all centered around draft picks, not the players the Raptors are getting back. Sorry I’ve ruined Christmas though! I’ve burned the roast.
@RaptorsReport Haha, that was just hyperbole-don’t worry about it. That said, my issue with trading Jakob is that quality centers are a rare commodity in the NBA. It would be a huge mistake. Just look at how poorly the Raptors perform without him. Plus, let’s not forget the many years we went without a proper center. Do we really want to end up with another Baynes-type replacement?
@@RaptorsReport Let's keep Jakob. Use our current draft picks to get a backup center and allow Jakob to train him for the next 4 years. In my opinion that is the wisest move. That gives us the best of two worlds. Jakob, Kelly and Draft Pick (center).

love your videos bro, look forward to all of them
Cheers! Glad you're enjoying them!
Cooked with the Boucher trade, burnt the house down with the other 2
your thumbnail game is always on point!
Merry Christmas. Keep up the good work (expect for today's trade forecasts). lol. Enjoy.
Taking on Nadji 's contract is worth a late first rounder, well done. Maybe he can be salvaged by Darkos team he's still young 23 I think.
I think the chris boucher trade works with a pair of seconds instead. Since drafting good roleplayers with 1sts matters for good teams a lot now

@@RaptorsReportmakes sense. Id be stoked with the first but I’m guessing denver wants to keep it
Not very excited about those trades to be honest.
I left coal in your stocking. My apologies.
@@RaptorsReport no worries, this season is one big coal anyway.
We love you
Where is the Bruno Fernando for SGA trade?
Once I surreptitiously replace Presti in Oklahoma City, that will be the first trade I authorize!
Never trade big for small. We found that out with the CV for TJ deal.

Yeah that would be extremely funny, especially in a playoff series.

Raptors Report Christmas Eve 🎁🥂 cheers!
Merry Christmas!
Jak isn’t netting you 2 firsts maybe 1 and a second or 2
I honestly don’t know his exact value, but if they’re only getting one FRP, I’d rather keep him.
The trade to make is actually.... scottie barnes to the team that ends up with the #1 pick 😂

I'd rather keep Yak. He's one of our few players who makes a difference when he plays. Hoping for a huge bounce back next season
