Tuscan and red russian kale are my two favourite varieties. They grow in my net house over summer to avoid the caterpillars. Might give this type of propagating a go, cheers mate.

How fun! Now, kale is a biennial, so when the cuttings grow out do they provide a good deal of leaf material or do they go to seed?

I love this propagation series. Can you also propagate herbs like Sage or vegetables like Okra?
Will do some more vege and herbs for sure. Not much experience with Okra here unfortunately but might give it a go and learn.

What month of the year would you pull out the kale plant and take cuttings. Also can you put the rest of the plant back in the soil?
How long will the new cutting live for?
Will this work from a large leaf?
I did it with cabbage leaves successfully but these leaves died back. Which doesn't mean you can't just means I haven't
