Walkable
Metro?
Ships have very poor maps to give passengers
Are good maps available at port?
Is free wifi at port building

I really like your editing. The dry humor of the guide in the bus was a great touch setting the tone and actually reminds me very much of the locals when I was on holiday in Croatia.
It's nice, but the Plitvice Lakes National Park is much better!
The only advantage is that it is much closer from Split.
