The convection oven video for May is recipe for Chocolate Bark using dry function of the oven~^^
Recipe part has been done before i went to Jeju island , and i brought the chocolate and finished shooting intro in Jeju island~^^
Chocolate bark is the chocolate that you can make easily with dried fruit, cookie or candy on top~^^
I dried fruit by myself using dry function of the oven~
This must be good for health as it contains no artificial preservatives.
Compound chocolate doesn't need to be tempered(to maintain gloss and coating, a baker tempers by cooling the chocolate and then rewarming), so it is easy and simple to be used for chocolate bark!
You can use not only dried fruit but also cookies and candies on top to your taste!
I've been thinking that chocolate bark with dried fruit would be boring ^^
But actually its chewy texture and sweet sour taste go well with chocolate!
Oh! And Please slice the pineapple to be half thick of mine, aside from the pineapple, slice other fruits as thin as i did in the video
I thought it would be okay to cut into big slices since it's watery, and it was too thick.. haha
So i had to cut the pineapple into smaller pieces and dry again.
I used pineapple slice which i got from mart not the canned one because canned pineapple is in a heavy syrup with loads of added sugar
Not sure how it is going to be if I try to dry the canned pineapple~^^;
Pineapple tastes the best for me! Chewy and sweet~

The chocolate bark will last for more than a month in the fridge as the fruit are dried.
(You can keep it until it has mold growing on the fruit)

5월 광파오븐 연재는 건조기능을 이용해서 만든 바크 초콜렛이에요~^^
레시피 촬영은 제주에 가기전에 집에서 하고, 완성품을 제주도로 가져가서 인트로를 찍었어요~^^
바크 초콜렛은 말린 과일, 과자, 사탕 등등 여러가지 재료를 녹인 초콜렛 위에 올려 굳히는 간단한 초콜렛이에요~^^
저는 건조기능을 이용해서 직접 과일을 말려서 만들어봤어요~
직접 집에서 건조한 과일들이니 보존제같은게 안들어가서 건강하겠죠??
바크 초콜렛에 코팅초콜렛을 사용하면 별도의 템퍼링 작업(초콜렛의 온도를 높였다 낮췄다 해서 광택 등을 높이는 작업) 없이 바로 중탕으로 녹여서 만들 수 있으니 간편해요 ^^
건조과일 외에도 과자나 캔디같은 다양한 것들을 올려서 굳혀도 맛있는 바크 초콜렛이 되니 한번 만들어보세요~
저는 그동안 건조과일을 올린 바크 초콜렛은 뻔한 맛일 것 같다는 생각을 많이 했었어요 ^^
그런데 이게 건조과일의 쫀득함과 새콤달콤한 맛이 초콜렛과 정말 잘 어울리더라구요~
참! 그리고 다른 과일은 영상대로 잘라주시되, 파인애플은 영상보다 반절 정도 얇게 잘라주세요.. ㅋㅋ
제 생각에는 수분이 많아서 두껍게 해도 괜찮을 것 같았는데 너무 두껍더라구요..ㅎㅎ
그래서 나중에 파인애플만 덜 말랐기에 두께를 반절로 잘라서 추가로 더 말려줬답니다 ~
아 그리고 파인애플 통조림은 시럽에 절여져 있는거라 저는 롯x마트에서 파는 껍질이 손질된 파인애플을 사서 사용했어요 ~^^
통조림 파인애플은 말리면 어떨지 잘 모르겠네요 ~^^;
제가 먹어본 결과 파인애플이 제일 맛있었어요 ㅋㅋ 쫄깃쫄깃 달콤달콤~
간단한 레시피와 건강한 건조기능으로 달콤한 초콜렛 만들어보세요~^^
건조과일을 올린거라 냉장고에 넣어놓으면 한달 이상 보관 가능하답니다~
(과일부분에 곰팡이가 생기기전까지 가능~!)

로라 [Laura] Yea, I didn't realise I had already eaten orange jam with preserves that still had the skin on. They're a bit chewy but in a good way
I use whole citrus slices in my smoothies, and think this would be delicious in the white chocolate too. The peel has so much flavor from the natural oil in it

Ooh, I’ll have to try this! My oven doesn’t have that setting and I don’t own a dehydrator machine, so I’ll probably just buy some dried fruit... 😅
You could probably also do it by putting your oven on a low heat setting for a long period of time. I've been able make beef jerky that way, so it might be possible with fruits too.

You can make a dehydrator too or at least a simplified one to speed up the suns work

@@pinkheart315 You could cook the ones with bitter skin in sugar syrup then dehydrate them. That way the sugar will cook down the skin and infused its sweetness. Dried citrus skins are actually common where I'm from and they taste really good.

omg amazing im so totally doing this i just need to buy a dehydrating machine thing or is there another way that we can dehydrate them without having to spend so much money??? .:c so how did it taste was it good did each fruit taste stand out . ? and did u add nuts to it as well ? buy chance what were those pearl things?
you can dehydrate in a regular oven...but itll take round 6 hours. Google dehydrate fruit in oven and you can find out exactly what to do

There are actually cheaper dehydrating machine and a lot smaller for storing, I've seen them sold online, still considering whether to buy them
you could also just buy dehydrated fruits and put them in the chocolate

This would taste amazing. You get the sweetness from the chocolate balanced with a touch of sour and tangy from the orange, strawberries and kiwi. Not to mention, it's a beautiful piece of chocolate art!

Uncandied orange peel does not taste good. The white layer is particularly bitter. Hopefully the sweetness of the chocolate cuts some of the bitterness
