I drive that route for Amtrak regularly. -Mon-Fri it leaves Sacramento at 1000 and arrives at the Tahoe Wye at appx 1215, depending on traffic and weather. On the weekday schedule there are two additonal stops at Stateline (Heavenly ski lift) and the Kingsbury Tranist Center (NV). The return trip departs Kingsbury at 1410, Tahoe Wye at 1430, and arrives in Sacramento appx 1645(ish). -On the weekends and holidays, the schedule departs Sacramento at 1125, and arrives at the Wye at appx 1345, which is the only stop on that particular schedule. It departs the Wye at 1430 and gets back into Sacramento apps 1645, depending on traffic, which on the weekends can be pretty significant. I took some footage of my drive yesterday. As soon as I have time to edit it all together I'll post it.
Is this bus free if you travel on the train or do you have to pay an extra fee or how does that work? I'm taking this train ride out there to Emeryville and San Francisco later this year and was just wondering?
It is not free, but you can purchase a thruway bus ticket when a train ticket is purchased. The thruway bus between Emeryville and San Francisco is not so expensive. For example, a coach ticket price from Chicago to Emeryville is $176, but $177 from Chicago to San Francisco via Emeryville. I highly recommend you to contact Amtrak (Web: Amtrak.com or Phone: 1-800-USA-RAIL) to get Amtrak's official information.
Hello, did they take checked bags?
How often do the buses run between Emeryville and Embarcadero?
Is there a restroom at the back of the bus?
Same here, came to ask the same
Can you do footage for the Sacramento-Lake Tahoe amtrak thruway bus? Or atleast have info about it?
I cannot say when, but want to ride the Amtrak bus to Lake Tahoe.
