Amtrak train was beautiful but democrats have turned the train schedule to their home schedule the train was initially scheduled at 9.21pm but since it was teaching Oakland therefore no integrity or discipline was necessary.the train left the station from Oakland for Iregon at around 1250-am All the connected trips had to be canceled did not attend thanksgiving dinner Democrats have fucked up each and every system I request Donald Trump to please come and fix this train system

Interesting. For someone who was educated at a geography in Hawaii and did environmental studies there for 20 years, I don't recall the monorail service. I used bus service, walked an awful lot and drove cars but I never rode the Monorail. No need to i guess.

Ridership to be determined. It will obviously take many years for people to adjust to this new transportation service. My first experience in the region of service was in the summer of 1957 when pineapple fields were still the predominate feature of the landscape, now gradually being replaced by houses. I lived in Honolulu for 28 years ending in 1995, where I was a student and then did environmental impact studies for the Army Corps of Engineers.

I do agree once it reaches towards downtown, it could be a more viable option, especially to getting stuck on H1 during rush hour( provided one lives no further than Kapolei, of course).

Is it true hardly anyone uses public transport in HI? If anyplace needs it more than them I can't think of a place. Space is at a premium there.

I taken both the Skyline and Hawaiian Railway Society back in early July this year and I loved it. Hello from SoCal. And yes, some parts of SoCal like San Juan Capistrano and points south feel like a train driving through Hawaii.

I'll take any of the transit accept for the monorail because there rusted up bad.

My home railway system

Waiting for the eastbound train to Chicago here in the middle of the night is an isolating experience after I was dropped off by a friend. It was February and the wind was cold. I waited and waited for the train by myself. Other passengers came just before the train arrived. I was happy to have the company and even happier to finally get on the train.
