business model they have isnt set up to let that work. im sure if they didnt keep doing yearly releases and all the microtransactions, they would probably be ok with it. but it would definitely steal a lot of players from newer games that have season passes and the store. The games that allow these mods are usually games where people arent spending a fuck ton of money to play it.

Let’s see if I pay $30 for a game to play a mod client. They cease and desist the mod client. I refund my game. I get my $30 back. And get to play the leaked version for free because I still have the games download files from before I refunded. I’m now playing HM2 on a leak thru the files I had from a game I refunded. That would be Karma in some eyes.

I've been playing H2M now for a few hours and the only negative thing i can say is that there are not enough servers because there are way too many players. 10/10 they nailed it! Weekend is saved🔥
What I dont understand is why do game companies hate photo and video leaks of a game they are not only working on, but patented the game and its features months before starting to develop the game. The leakers are basically giving the games free advertisement.

Reason they sent out the C&D hours before HM2 launches is because they knew people were hype for it and that as the release date for the mod approached, more people would by MWR in order to play it. So they waited until the sales for the game jumped and when it started to plateau, they sent out the C&D letter

Running task manager I don’t see anything… and that is also after runing h2. Not running it with MWR, but rather just the launcher. Is it safe to say I am good?
@@itsmeSubDELTA I'd do a Malwarebytes scan on the files you downloaded as I've had more success with that software with stuff like this than windows defender. I didn't download the files in fear for my PC and the dude didn't give me the name of the exe file. Other than that pray they don't do anything malicious.

They did things in a way that gives us legal grounds to counter their anti consumer activities, increased sales before launch, then a C&D lol, calculated asf.
"...afraid that the success of the mod would impact Black Ops 6 sales." Maybe, may be not. If BO6 is a good game it would sell well anyway.
But their decision to C&D the mod right before it launches after putting MW on sale certainly effected BO6 to me. This literally changed my mind about playing it at all, and I have Gamepass so it would be free to me! To exist in the game even without spending money is still too much support from me after this.
I'll continue to chill in XDefiant and hope Ubisoft continues in a good direction with it.

Watching Jev’s video was so fucking weird. It’s like he wanted to be angry but couldn’t show it. It felt like he was held hostage and only making the video because he knew it would get good views but couldn’t give his actual opinion and call out this evil, vile shit.

There's an EXE file in the download that takes screenshots on your PC and reads your saved passwords. I wouldn't trust downloading this.
How do you know? People have been playing all night and this seems like the most legit discord
@@itsmeSubDELTA There was another person in the discord saying it so I dmed him for proof and he showed me some screenshots of the code for the EXE when running. I'd at least wait like a week or more to see if ether one peoples accounts start to get stolen or what Activision's response is gonna be cause they could resort to IP banning people.
@@BoyBacon5051 i see. I have all the files on my mac and unzipped in a VM running W11. Ran a windows defender scan on everything, then a full antivirus sweep. Nothing came up. Running task manager I don’t see anything… and that is also after runing h2. Not running it with MWR, but rather just the launcher. Is it safe to say I am good?

@@itsmeSubDELTA I'd do a Malwarebytes scan on the files you downloaded as I've had more success with that software with stuff like this than windows defender. I didn't download the files in fear for my PC and the dude didn't give me the name of the exe file. Other than that pray they don't do anything malicious.
