I still don’t understand why they want all games to be packed in one launcher with their crappy CoD HQ. Back then you just simply jump into the game and then load campaign. Now you have to open two applications after the first one. Very tedious. Bonus points for me is they added it into the game pass so I don’t have to pay full, but I’ll play for campaign because multiplayer is cancer in modern CoD games.

Combat training in Black Ops 2 with half humans and half bots fixes so many of the issues people bring up. You get a less sweaty experience, get the best scorestreaks, and are still playing against humans not just bots. Why won’t they do this? It was insanely more fun for me than normal multiplayer.

Remember every call of duty had its own unique startup and main menu, plus they showed the actual player counts as a flex? I feel not a lot of people in the world is actually playing call of duty as their main game. COD became apart of our rotation but I remember playing call of duty non stop everyday. Both zombies and multiplayer. The prestige rewards in bo6 is very nice. But they could’ve made the rewards in a way it’s not the same stuff everyone is unlocking. They could’ve did a huge pool of 50 operator skins and 50 weapon blueprints. After every prestige you open a mystery box that unlocks one of the two and nothing gets rerolled. That would’ve been enough variety for everyone to flex their prestige’s in different ways. Not only that, after you’ve maxed your level you could reset your master prestige 1000 and go through the prestige system again gaining new rewards. Adding good replay ability. What happened to the cod community custom games in bo2? The emblem editor ? The custom weapon paint jobs? Everything that allowed us to be different is gone. Everyone just buying the same skin some one else has. You should be able to combine the gear on each operator skin you’ve bought. Remember In bo4 putting attachments on a master craft changed the looks in a good way? The attachments was customized to fit that specific mastercraft. In bo6 the attachments will change the look of the mastercraft in a bad way, so much that if you put on too many attachments that wasn’t originally apart of that mastercraft, it would make the gun look normal again. These games lack soul nowadays. Sbmm plays a huge roll in the downfall as well.
I wanted to keep MWIII installed since im not getting BO6, but it forced me to download a 70gb update. I just deleted the COD app altogether, its not worth it anymore. My storage space deserves to be used up with better games

The moment they announced that gaming would go fully online only. The moment they said that and they heard the cheers from the crowds like that's what we wanted. Went straight down the crapper with greed, Microtransactions, Delayed products and services, Increased online store prices, Entire rosters of nothing but re hashed re mastered games from older consoles, Lower and lower game variety, Pre order pushes, Unfinished games, More DLCs then the games themselves, Internet packet and ping to ping problems and so many other issues that the industry just was not ready for nor ready to take on. Theres already hackers. Before the game came out. No this is not a joke. Some people got into bo6 before it actually launched with the new zealand trick and got hacks on the game. A couple of clips i found have been floating around where there is footage of people hacking in private matches. This game is already screwed and its day 1
It's because they use the same damn scripts and coding as bo3 and 4 with minor tweaks to bring it into modern specs so hackers just tweak their existing hacks from bo3 & 4 and they work on bo6

Unless there’s a change in matchmaking, no CoD game will truly stand out, doesn’t matter if it has solid progression or other appealing features.

They don’t want him man. If you listen to the way he talks about doing the previous black ops games he ended up getting very involved with the way woods was portrayed. He did lots of improvisation and alterations to lines they had for woods if they didn’t feel like how James C Burns felt woods would speak. James C Burns was an actual actor when he was hired for Black Ops 1 and helped Treyarch with doing the Mo Cap and stuff. He had a very strong vision and understanding of woods and I think in Cold War they didn’t want woods to be as crass, tough and didn’t want to deal with someone potentially causing problems with the script and production (as he most likely would’ve done as you can see with his reaction to the stupid “I’m an onion mason” line). He’s a really good actor, especially when it comes to portraying woods but like everything else in modern cod, it has to be dumbed down and safe. Essentially James Burns had an artistic approach to acting and the COD devs are not making art anymore.

This has been a thing since inception of CoD, and many other games. I think the difference is that back then we didn't have youtube, then when we did we didn't have a huge amount of people streaming cod, watching cod, etc... now it's just everywhere online. My only complaint with Omni movement is the accidently sliding while trying to crouch. That shit has messed up my shit so many times. I really wish they would fix the servers tho. I stutter and rubber band literally every other game. Packet burst has become a way of life for me at this point

I agree with you that the longer and better you get at the game the worse the lobbies and connection you have. I experienced this regularly on MW3, was max prestige and always played solo. Would always get put up against the sweatiest 3-6 man teams and pair me with NPCs that would go 4-56 each match. The game has absolutely no balance
the main issue i have with SBMM, is i want to play good, but i don't because i know what comes after. i do good and i try then i get a train ran on me. so i purposefully slow myself down and play bad just so i don't have to deal with the people who "no-life" this game

Personally, I love the game so far. The ONLY issues I personally experience is the spawns (beta map spawns have improved since beta but the new maps are in need of an update) and then the report system. 4 days in and I got shadowbanned while working on the camo grind. Ricochet from what I have read is mostly used to target players who have background programs running. The shadowban system I believe is specifically for the report system which is constantly abused and you can tell when you get shadowbanned on who is an actual cheater in the lobby and it's usally 2-4 out of the 12 player lobby. Also... The HQ is just stupid overall ngl. As for the connection issues you mentioned, I personally have not experienced any kind of issues, even if my screen says I have a packet issue, I still don't notice anything that affects my gameplay.
As far as connectivity issues it MUST have to do with SBMM. The game prioritizes putting you against similar level so much it will completely disregard connection viability.
Gotta remember a 22. Lr smg is gonna do more damage than idk a 7.62 heavy sniper rifle but then again cod sucks and makes snipers no good for the streamers and sweats like bruh shits stupid

What's really funny about this game is that I play on PS5 with crossplay OFF. Except when I turn it off in this game I get numerous dev errors when joining games then the crossplay miraculously turns itself back on
I changed my texture streaming to Lowest as possible. It saves now, also turned my vram down to 70. Look in task manager to see if cod hq is still open and close it if it is. (You have to clear cod hq every time you load up cod if you have it open)
I played 2 matches of multiplayer and noped out of that. Personally I actually really like the zombies, and the campaign is good. But whether or not that's worth 70 bucks to someone who doesn't have game pass is heavily debatable. For me, it's worth it I guess since it's on game pass. It'll be something I hop on from time to time for zombies, but for 6v6 it's XDefiant all the way. XDefiant is without question better than BO6 in my opinion.
Xdefiant is better and it will get more content with better updates. At least in Xdefiant you can get better and not all the riffs mechanics in the past cods since Mw2019

Omnimovement, field upgrades like sleeper agent and one that basically gives you extra score and paints a target on your back. There's only so much you could innovate with weapons or killstreaks. Most maps are good, not jaw-dropping but good. We asked for old features to be brought back, and now they brought them back and re-defined the entirety of the possible movement system, and you're complaining nothing is new. Yes, if you experience technical issues or you were not a person who wanted old things like classic prestige and theater mode, then that's understandable. But the objective point is that they did what the majority of CoD veterans have wanted to do, except SBMM. They'll never change SBMM sadly.
I thought I was the only one who experienced the packet loss. I get close to 500mbps Internet speeds and after my first few games it felt like I was on 400 ping. I was lagging all the way across the map before getting booted from the game. This happened a few more times before I just went to play zombies instead.

This exactly happened to me. Packet burst follows me into every game I join. It's unplayable. People have told me to start getting used to Burst Ops 6.
I got it from Gamepass and I'm not touching the multiplayer at all. Campaign was cool and I like the zombies. I'm not playing SBMM/EOMM matchmaking multiplayer that makes me have 90+ ping. I could pick literally any game that I play besides CoD and my ping is less than 20. That should be illegal.
@BlameTruth I will agree with u on that, that isn't fair, but everything else, nah, I just think it because they have to build off of mw2's clunky connections (since it afterall serves as the base game) and that's why movement us a bit slower, but it's a treyarch game, and they went through 2 phases of warzone when developing, this game was for sure meant for warzone 1, just because it feels a lil' bit chunkier, but that could also be because how when you run in real life your body jerks a bit, and they wanted it to feel a little bit closer to life (literally their motto for the reason why omnimovment was put into the game, if you can do it in real life, why not put it in game) but that's just my opinion
It's because they're streaming the game's 4k textures along side the 2008 server connections. They claim it reduces the game's file size. They're doing everything except actually putting in the effort and time to optimize their rushed coding.

i’ve actually been doing good with the new call of duty, it feels less laggy, a little more smoother there is some little lag jumps but really nothing that makes it unplayable but could just be my connection with internet

me and my wife played all day yesterday. no lag. no crashes. a few disconnects. movement is a fun change. most guns are viable. maps are meh. but, overall, we had a blast. enjoying this cod so far.

@@Smuglicense9359 i’ve tried it, hate the multiplayer, won’t be playing that much more but the zombies was ok when the network was stable, they clearly still have not fixed the network stability issues, and they need to open up to more lanes of bandwidth to allow a wider set of routers. if your on 4.6hz which is a decently popular bandwidth, you will have a ton of problems with rubber banding have tons of network issues. if your on 5hz you will have problems if you don’t have a static ip. 6hz is the only one that i haven’t had problems with. what this means people are going to have a vastly different experiences playing the game just form a connection standpoint let alone if they actually like the game or not.
Those who play with a controller on PC are always one step ahead. The algorithm of this game intentionally causes KBM players to experience a delay when they aim. In this way, the aim assist feature easily fulfills its task.
Black Ops 6 is a slight improvement over MWIII 2023, however, I'm definitely done with COD for good. BO6 is Black Ops Cold War but inferior in every way. It's lazily put together (even though it took Treyarch reportedly 4 to 5 years to develop the next COD game, which is the longest development cycle for any given COD game to date), the campaign is utterly predictable, and of course, the gameplay hasn't changed at all. COD is in a major slump period right now, and in my opinion, Activision and its affiliates should call it quits. At this point, I'd rather play Battlefield or Medal Of Honor than COD.

Remember every call of duty had its own unique startup and main menu, plus they showed the actual player counts as a flex? I feel not a lot of people in the world is actually playing call of duty as their main game. COD became apart of our rotation but I remember playing call of duty non stop everyday. Both zombies and multiplayer. The prestige rewards in bo6 is very nice. But they could’ve made the rewards in a way it’s not the same stuff everyone is unlocking. They could’ve did a huge pool of 50 operator skins and 50 weapon blueprints. After every prestige you open a mystery box that unlocks one of the two and nothing gets rerolled. That would’ve been enough variety for everyone to flex their prestige’s in different ways. Not only that, after you’ve maxed your level you could reset your master prestige 1000 and go through the prestige system again gaining new rewards. Adding good replay ability. What happened to the cod community custom games in bo2? The emblem editor ? The custom weapon paint jobs? Everything that allowed us to be different is gone. Everyone just buying the same skin some one else has. You should be able to combine the gear on each operator skin you’ve bought. Remember In bo4 putting attachments on a master craft changed the looks in a good way? The attachments was customized to fit that specific mastercraft. In bo6 the attachments will change the look of the mastercraft in a bad way, so much that if you put on too many attachments that wasn’t originally apart of that mastercraft, it would make the gun look normal again. These games lack soul nowadays. Sbmm plays a huge roll in the downfall as well.
I wanted to keep MWIII installed since im not getting BO6, but it forced me to download a 70gb update. I just deleted the COD app altogether, its not worth it anymore. My storage space deserves to be used up with better games

They don’t want him man. If you listen to the way he talks about doing the previous black ops games he ended up getting very involved with the way woods was portrayed. He did lots of improvisation and alterations to lines they had for woods if they didn’t feel like how James C Burns felt woods would speak. James C Burns was an actual actor when he was hired for Black Ops 1 and helped Treyarch with doing the Mo Cap and stuff. He had a very strong vision and understanding of woods and I think in Cold War they didn’t want woods to be as crass, tough and didn’t want to deal with someone potentially causing problems with the script and production (as he most likely would’ve done as you can see with his reaction to the stupid “I’m an onion mason” line). He’s a really good actor, especially when it comes to portraying woods but like everything else in modern cod, it has to be dumbed down and safe.
Essentially James Burns had an artistic approach to acting and the COD devs are not making art anymore.

I agree with you that the longer and better you get at the game the worse the lobbies and connection you have. I experienced this regularly on MW3, was max prestige and always played solo. Would always get put up against the sweatiest 3-6 man teams and pair me with NPCs that would go 4-56 each match. The game has absolutely no balance
the main issue i have with SBMM, is i want to play good, but i don't because i know what comes after. i do good and i try then i get a train ran on me. so i purposefully slow myself down and play bad just so i don't have to deal with the people who "no-life" this game

Personally, I love the game so far. The ONLY issues I personally experience is the spawns (beta map spawns have improved since beta but the new maps are in need of an update) and then the report system. 4 days in and I got shadowbanned while working on the camo grind. Ricochet from what I have read is mostly used to target players who have background programs running. The shadowban system I believe is specifically for the report system which is constantly abused and you can tell when you get shadowbanned on who is an actual cheater in the lobby and it's usally 2-4 out of the 12 player lobby. Also... The HQ is just stupid overall ngl. As for the connection issues you mentioned, I personally have not experienced any kind of issues, even if my screen says I have a packet issue, I still don't notice anything that affects my gameplay.
As far as connectivity issues it MUST have to do with SBMM. The game prioritizes putting you against similar level so much it will completely disregard connection viability.
They made snipers so horrible, with 3-4 tap smgs running around it's a meatgrinder

What's really funny about this game is that I play on PS5 with crossplay OFF. Except when I turn it off in this game I get numerous dev errors when joining games then the crossplay miraculously turns itself back on
I changed my texture streaming to Lowest as possible. It saves now, also turned my vram down to 70. Look in task manager to see if cod hq is still open and close it if it is. (You have to clear cod hq every time you load up cod if you have it open)
I played 2 matches of multiplayer and noped out of that. Personally I actually really like the zombies, and the campaign is good. But whether or not that's worth 70 bucks to someone who doesn't have game pass is heavily debatable. For me, it's worth it I guess since it's on game pass. It'll be something I hop on from time to time for zombies, but for 6v6 it's XDefiant all the way. XDefiant is without question better than BO6 in my opinion.
Xdefiant is better and it will get more content with better updates. At least in Xdefiant you can get better and not all the riffs mechanics in the past cods since Mw2019

Omnimovement, field upgrades like sleeper agent and one that basically gives you extra score and paints a target on your back. There's only so much you could innovate with weapons or killstreaks. Most maps are good, not jaw-dropping but good. We asked for old features to be brought back, and now they brought them back and re-defined the entirety of the possible movement system, and you're complaining nothing is new. Yes, if you experience technical issues or you were not a person who wanted old things like classic prestige and theater mode, then that's understandable. But the objective point is that they did what the majority of CoD veterans have wanted to do, except SBMM. They'll never change SBMM sadly.

I thought I was the only one who experienced the packet loss. I get close to 500mbps Internet speeds and after my first few games it felt like I was on 400 ping. I was lagging all the way across the map before getting booted from the game. This happened a few more times before I just went to play zombies instead.

Happened to me. 1st match all great, and amazing went 45-5 after that all hell went lose, lag until 2-5th match packet burst / loss / aim resist and i just went to zombies lol, SBMM is RUINING MULTIPLAYER

This exactly happened to me. Packet burst follows me into every game I join. It's unplayable. People have told me to start getting used to Burst Ops 6.
I got it from Gamepass and I'm not touching the multiplayer at all. Campaign was cool and I like the zombies. I'm not playing SBMM/EOMM matchmaking multiplayer that makes me have 90+ ping.
I could pick literally any game that I play besides CoD and my ping is less than 20. That should be illegal.

I personally haven't packet bursted once in this game which shocked me since I've been packet bursting for 5 years.

@BlameTruth I will agree with u on that, that isn't fair, but everything else, nah, I just think it because they have to build off of mw2's clunky connections (since it afterall serves as the base game) and that's why movement us a bit slower, but it's a treyarch game, and they went through 2 phases of warzone when developing, this game was for sure meant for warzone 1, just because it feels a lil' bit chunkier, but that could also be because how when you run in real life your body jerks a bit, and they wanted it to feel a little bit closer to life (literally their motto for the reason why omnimovment was put into the game, if you can do it in real life, why not put it in game) but that's just my opinion

It's because they're streaming the game's 4k textures along side the 2008 server connections. They claim it reduces the game's file size. They're doing everything except actually putting in the effort and time to optimize their rushed coding.

It’s because of save and quit it requires internet so now u can’t play zombies unless you are connected to the internet

i’ve actually been doing good with the new call of duty, it feels less laggy, a little more smoother there is some little lag jumps but really nothing that makes it unplayable but could just be my connection with internet

I moved my router and got a hard connection and then I started getting packet burst instead of packet loss. so glad i got it on game pass. This game could be decent, if They just get that package shit fixed, but they’re not smh

This should allow them to polish the game to the point where COD could be good again since black ops 2 came out in 2012. The reason I believe it should be a good COD game for the first time in over a decade is black ops 2 takes place in 2025, which is literally right around the corner and we COD fans know it
I've had absolutely zero connection issues with this call of duty and I've already played it way too much. I do notice lobbies are harder when you solo queue play with a group of bodies is a lot better like you get easier lobbies it seems like

me and my wife played all day yesterday. no lag. no crashes. a few disconnects. movement is a fun change. most guns are viable. maps are meh. but, overall, we had a blast. enjoying this cod so far.

@@Smuglicense9359 i’ve tried it, hate the multiplayer, won’t be playing that much more but the zombies was ok when the network was stable, they clearly still have not fixed the network stability issues, and they need to open up to more lanes of bandwidth to allow a wider set of routers. if your on 4.6hz which is a decently popular bandwidth, you will have a ton of problems with rubber banding have tons of network issues. if your on 5hz you will have problems if you don’t have a static ip. 6hz is the only one that i haven’t had problems with.
what this means people are going to have a vastly different experiences playing the game just form a connection standpoint let alone if they actually like the game or not.
Those who play with a controller on PC are always one step ahead. The algorithm of this game intentionally causes KBM players to experience a delay when they aim. In this way, the aim assist feature easily fulfills its task.
It is simple treyarch: SBMM / EOMM should only be for ranked. Everything else should be optimising connection only.
Black Ops 6 is a slight improvement over MWIII 2023, however, I'm definitely done with COD for good. BO6 is Black Ops Cold War but inferior in every way. It's lazily put together (even though it took Treyarch reportedly 4 to 5 years to develop the next COD game, which is the longest development cycle for any given COD game to date), the campaign is utterly predictable, and of course, the gameplay hasn't changed at all.
COD is in a major slump period right now, and in my opinion, Activision and its affiliates should call it quits.
At this point, I'd rather play Battlefield or Medal Of Honor than COD.
