@@RidingreviewsThat's not true, it's actually BS. Although a police officer may make an exception to allow a pregnant woman to urinate in a public place.
Maybe someone should start a safety campaign so these mopeds can legally do at least 40/45 mph as they are so dangerous for the young rides being restricted to 30 as the don’t have the power to get the rider out of some unsafe situation
So, retaining the 28 mph speed limiter & increased variator weights would hold the engine revs down to 6500 or 5500 with the 63 & 81cc conversions, & may maintain stoichiometric air fuel ratios over a narrower rev band. But the extra torque & therefore hp from the increased capacity will assist climbing speed.
In Germany there is another smaller class, its calle motorized bicycle and after having to ride 15.5 mp/h for 2 months, it was a blessing for me when the 28 mp/h ECU arrived. With a 4-speed manual transmission it's really fun. But at 28 mph it's already running at 8000 rpm in fourth gear and if you open the ecu on the engine complete would probably explode or something lol
Now that I'm driving with the 45 km/h ECU, the 25 km/h ECU is just lying around. Are there companies that reprogram it so that it is open? Good explanation Chris. I have 2 Leeway pizza delivery scooters from CBRUS. The Chinese have been fiendishly clever in restriction. Speed limiter sensor on the clutch bell housing. 2 x electronic pressure sensors mounted above & below the vacuum controlled carb piston that controls mixture. An electronic sensor that detects carb butterfly positioning. Oxygen sensor on the exhaust. & all connected to the rpm restricted ecu of course. There's no way to disconnect the speed limiter, as disconnection, or changing the clutch bell to one without magnets puts the ecu into limp home mode. Changing the carb, ditto, as it will lack the non interchangeable butterfly sensor. & vacuum sensors. Grinding off 2 of the 4 magnets on the clutch bell may fool the ecu into thinking the bike is at half speed. But it won't increase the rpm limiter or power output. 2.4 bhp @ 6500. 2.8 @ 7500. It isn't fitted with a standard GY6 carb either, since the main jet is 6.7 mm in width, not 4 or 5mm as standard. Can't seem to find one of larger jetting. 82 as standard. The speed, 28 mph by GPS is fine. Just want more climbing power. I've fitted one engine with a 63cc conversion. But without an increase in the 82 jet, it will run very lean. I was thinking that fitting the 63cc with original 82 jet, but fitting heavier 6.5 gram sliders, will pull the engine revs down to 6500 peak (maximum torque) which from the 26% increased capacity, will give 3 bhp @ 6500. It just won't rev out like the original engine. Would this work? I also have an 81cc cylinder, which with the 82 jet, would mean fitting a 7 gram slider to pull the engine down to 5,500 max. It's all I can think of in the absence of finding an appropriate jet. What do you think?
so the pickup on the clutch housing is ware it tacks the restriction all the other sensors are for emissions and choke I would try taking the sensor out of the housing and see what happens because the bike with no belt should rev out if you just disconnect it it thinks you have tampered with it
Im not sure about the remap video i dont think anyone would let me use there equiptment to do it putting a 13tooth sprocket will make it faster but you would lose talque
How is that supposed to work? Even with a larger sprocket, the ECU still limits it to 45 km/h (28 miles) If you then change the sprocket, the thing still drives 28 mph but with less acceleration. And even if you remove the limit of the ecu and change the sprocket, the engine is hardly strong enough to get anything out of it because all the emissions standards... catalytic converter and all that shit.
I was looking at a WK scrambler 50, which is identical to the 125cc model, other than the engine itself, would swapping in a 125 ECU, Raise the rev limiter / speed or do you think the ignition timing would be completely incompatible with the 50cc, they have the MOTION ecu fitted to both models, Although a derestricted 50 ECU is on AliExpress for £63
