- Austin, the state capital of Texas, is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. The downtown is located on the north bank of the Colorado River and is where the high-rise buildings are. As of early 2021, there're more than 20 towers being built and the skyline of downtown Austin keeps changing. This 15 minutes tour will take you through downtown Austin, from the air, to explore the heart of this beautiful city.

everytime i visit Austin, its insane how much the downtown skyline has changed. i remember visiting in the 90s as a kid. its amazing the growth that is occurring in Texas, particularly Austin.
Yeah and it's keep growing. There're more than 10 tall buildings in downtown Austin to be be completed by this year.
All this construction on buildings but the freeways are relics from the 50's.
Austin looks so futuristic and every building is new. I live in Phoenix and we are having our building boom too (about to get a new tallest building finally after 50 years since our current tallest went up) but Austin is on another level.
Actually Austin is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. I've been to Phoenix couple times and the metro is huge.
Austin still has a very small skyline.
@@californiamade5608 Hopefully we'll see more in the coming years.
Amazing work dude! The research that went into this video to describe what we are seeing is very helpful. And the music starts over on each new clip. Very profrssional. Bravo!!!

Hello,
I was wondering about your drone footage of Austin. It's very beautiful. I plan on creating some products that aerial footage of Austin could work really well.
Do you share your footage freely? I can't pay for the footage because of Army PA guidance. I wish we had a budget for such things. And if you don't (totally understand) what can you tell me about flying drones downtown?
I do appreciate your time and consideration.
Hi Henry,
I'd love to share the footage freely with you as long as it's not for commercial purpose. For commercial use of drone footage I (or you) need the Part 107 license from FAA and I don't.
@@GeoExplorerStudio I'm just reading up on drones. You need a license to use footage already shot? I thought you would need it to capture. The weird thing is its for the Army, so its a grey area. We don't make money off of it but it can technically be classified as recruitment even if its not the intent of the product. I will definitely make sure before using. How can I get the Highest resolution of this video from you? Do you use Google drive?
@@25kinghenry Yes I use Google Drive.
@@GeoExplorerStudio How can I get it from you? :) Do you have an email?
@@25kinghenry Send me your email so I could share with you a downloadable link.
Austin has done well with it's city planning due to a progressive city council that manages to blend in the surroundings with both old and new structures. The San Antonio City Council should look to Austin to see how it's done as their skyline looks like something out of the 50s for a city of nearly 2 million people.
