I've just recently gotten into these too. I've so far got SS4 Goku and Vegeta, and Gohan and Cell. I still haven't built Vegeta, since I'm going to paint all of the areas that require stickers. I'm surprised you're doing these, since I recall a long time ago you said you didn't have time to build kits, so I'm guessing you have more free time on your hands, or these are simple enough that you can build them in a short enough time frame. It's awesome to see you doing these Dragon Ball ones, and despite some issues they have, once they're painted they usually look pretty good, and I find they're pretty underrated.
Awesome figure man! I got the Vegeta version; Love it! They also make really cool transparent "energy" stands for them, where it looks like they are powering up. I'd love to underlight to figures like that battling each other!
hey mate sorry for commenting so late. i notice in my figure rise goku ss4 there are extra pieces notably C1-9, C2- 16-17, C-2 20-23, C-2 30-34. what these for?
Great figure Anthony and another great vid. Anthony can you please tell me the tune starting at 3:07 I've been looking for that for some time now thanks and more power
Definitely dont look as good quality as SHF figures but that is expected. I am excited to get my Figure rise Frieza in the mail to build him up. It has been a long time since I have build a model kit figure!
Sean Cordova the figure rise freiza looks awesome when complete, a little tall compared to his sh figure arts counterpart, but could easily pass as the "Full powered Frieza"
Great video Anthony!!! I suck at modeling but I've done some easier Gundam kits and I did the DBZ Super Saiyan Goku kit and loved it. Its also held up well even with some lite posing.
Waitamin bro, I didn't see you snip anything I thought the idea was to snip the area around it, THEN snip it close to get the entire sprue off, as they're built inside that joint to snip the sprue off well that way. At least that's what I do and was told the correct way to do it. If your way works without having sprue snubs sticking out after then I'm all ears. However, did you somehow do it before the video OR edit it out? I don't think so but maybe
It has its flaws, but the Japanese score is great, it has a very nice and interesting art direction (I love the surreal color palette), and I like lots of the designs of the characters. However, there are some directional issues throughout, and it does focus too much on Goku, but there is some amount of character development with Pan and Vegeta that most people tend to overlook, probably as a result of Goku's over-prominence. Even despite those flaws, I still think it's interesting and unique enough to at least give it a watch. I also recommend watching it in Japanese, because despite FUNimation reinserting the Japanese score into the dub in the latest releases, it still has some of that "hardcore rapper" tone with the narrator and the Para Para Bros.
Always wanted to get a model myself. But, I was always kinda worried how close to perfect could I trim down that leftover plastic from the frame. Should I use a nail rasp or something? Because, without painting over that, wouldn't the plastic just end up looking crappy?
it's at 4x speed but not i was not working quickly because i was dealing with recording and watching netflix at the same time as building. it's just the same spru used for another figure so they are left over. no use for them on this figure.
Hey Anthony I wanted to ask you if you will be reviewing the PAK wolverine. I was thinking about getting it on amazon but first of all its at a high price point and there is this guy who rated it 2 stars so I would like to know if the figure's worth it. Thanks!
theyre for other kits. they use the same sprus for multiple kits to save production costs. cheaper to make extra parts instead of making separate molds.
Can't really speak for the SS4s as they're new but the other DBZ models Figure-rise have done are (IMO) a little lower quality than Figuarts but way cheaper and they seem to be releasing a much wider variety of characters quickly - they've already got SS2 Gohan, Cell, SS3 Goku, Kid Buu, Frieza, these two guys and some great effect parts
The villains make for excellent stand ins for the way more expensive SHF versions (and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think SHF ever made Kid Buu, so he's all new in that regard) but the 2 different Gokus and the Gohan are a little out of scale with the others. You could make the argument that SSJ3 is a bigger character than regular Goku would be and he can be displayed with really no issue on my end, but SSJ1 and Gohan just look a little off. I'm excited to see how 17 and 18 will scale and hope to see a bunch of other guys like Tien, Yamucha and Chotzu to name a few (and a Vegeta/Freeza saga Gohan and Krillin would be awesome as well)
I painted Goku's kamehame effect red to make it more accurate to GT.
Mr. Anime his blue effect was used more often it was his Kamehameha X10 the red effect was his
Kamehameha special attack
@@johns3153 red kamehameha is the x20 varient. Uses a lot of energy hence the X10 was more common
amazing video Anthony music and all simply amazing
watching this to feed my addiction for building these things lol currently waiting for my vegeta and piccolo to come in
This video could also be titled "DBGT ASMR".

You could show the entire figure at end and not cut the video as this -.-
There's a whole video for that...
Loved the speed build.
Ok thx for the help so I know which piece is wich
What do you do with the extra parts in the C1 & C2? The manual doesn’t say anything
Nothing. They're for other figures which use the same spru molds.
You always cut the runners never pull and break them because you can twist and damage
No. I always do as much as i can by hand for a speed build.
how sturdy is he? i havent built a model in a while but they were always very light and not that sturdy...this seems hefty
Black Galifianakis the cell one was very light weight and flimsy I sold him after I got the sh figuarts premium color cell.
very cool
nice
Vegetaaa, what does the scouter say about his power level?
"It's 1006"

Can anyone tell me what those left over parts of clothes are for or for who??? Ty
+Cursed Masked Duelist they're just not used. Same spru as another figure is all. Saves Bandai money.

I personally prefer these over S.H. Figuarts. It's really fun putting them together.
Great build. I never get models like that. They always make me nervous. If a piece got damaged or went missing, I'd call it a day and never look back.
I didn't know you review model kits.
+Gavin Myatt I dont regularly
Thanks very much for this video, I've been wondering about the articulation in these build a figure kit's and it seems quite impressive.
Just got this how long did it take to build?
30 minutes maybe
Will you review these model kits? And will you buy trunks time machine when it come out?
Why are there so many extra pieces and thr book doesnt mention them anywhere
the same sprus are used for mutliple characters to save them production costs. you can ignore them.
@@AnthonysCustoms oh okay. I was starting to wonder if they were part of an alternate uniform or something lol. Thanks
I have this figure right now also ssj3
very cool figure dude :)

can you pop the pieces out with your fingers?
Sometimes but it's not recommended.

I was so hype about this video until I found out IT WASNT THE REVIEW

Super fine grit sandpaper or emery board is what I use.
+alback clippers or xacto knife
AnthonysCustoms hey I built this model and airbrushed it but I get a little chipping on the points on his paints do you have any suggestions.
adding primer and clear will have 0 benefit to joint rub. if plastic is touching, it will rub no matter what you do with the paint.
***** thanks guys guess it'll always rub but appreciate the advice
in all honesty I'm trash at these things
does anybody know what themes are being played in the background? i checked everywhere.
There ringtones
What is the song called in the end
Wow, i love this video so much.
how Long did it take you to build him in real time? and are the left over parts another pair of pants for other poses or was it a packing mistake?
it's at 4x speed but not i was not working quickly because i was dealing with recording and watching netflix at the same time as building. it's just the same spru used for another figure so they are left over. no use for them on this figure.
whats the extra parts for??

How is this compared to an import figure
It is very fragile not really meant for play but more for display
its slightly bigger than shf i think
